  1. Yeah I guess so. I have definitely only met a few people online in my life from Portland--not sure if its the same for you--but its shocking to me as Oregon is pretty big...

  3. I think that is the best argument. Even in my case, I won't be available for the Noon update, but I think that it is a fair suggestion. At best, it evens out the game and allows for somebody to be offensive against you whereas you can be offensive at midnight. But still, I think there are probably less non-Americans than Americans, which means the midnight update during the work/school week will probably still be more active, still giving you the comparative advantage.
  4. The only problem is this gives nations a major incentive to destroy all tanks, soldiers, etc. in order to drop out of the 25% level.

  6. I appreciate that. I'd love for the Admin to post the reasons why this has apparently been rejected in the past so we can open discussion about those issues specifically. I think there is inherently more pros than cons to this suggestion and that any argument made against it can be easily defeated. Even is the most cynical capitalistic way, more activity is a larger incentive to donate which means more revenue for CN.

  8. FARK will be curb stomped back, I am not concerned. This round is over for most of SWAT. No big deal.
  9. Fail. FARK declared on SWAT. A for effort? Legitly guys, we came to play football with ADULT and with minutes left on the clock, FARK substitutes in for ADULT and throws double the amount of players on the field, larger and more prepared, attacking our nations already on the offensive. What do you expect? Pwnage. That is what is happening. I'm not worried. FARK will get what they have coming.
  10. FARK, already destroyed my nation beyond belief, is launching nukes. I don't think anybody can argue for FARK fighting a fair or ethical battle. I sure hope somebody takes action against FARK and shows them what its like to be !@#$%bags.
  11. It seems unreasonable to think that a 250 vs. 60 person war is fair. Go pick on somebody your own size, like LE. That is how you will gain skill. The attacks targeted against my were very well coordinated and strategic, the kids attacking me clearly know what they are doing. Ransacking my nation already on the offensive is going to generate inherently less educational value than a raid against LE, or an alliance of your size. It is ignorant, at best, to claim that FARK generated any educational value especially relative to opportunity costs.
  12. Are you kidding me? "Dear ADULT, We are going to raid you in 24 hours, please don't hit us first!! love, SWAT" This isn't SE; F- politics, F- treaties, F- all that BS. I don't care if FARK and ADULT had a treaty; TE isn't supposed to be about politics and treaties. If it was, there would be no wars as everybody would recruit the new nations and there would be nobody to attack without risking some massive global war. Thats dumb. As an earlier poster said -- keep up the BS politics and unfair pwn matches and there is no incentive to play TE because it'll become the same BS that SE is.
  13. SWAT is a training ground, about 10-15 of the nations flying our AA are ghosts and not welcome in our offensive actions. Although I wasn't online during the ADULT offensive, to my knowledge there were under 20 active nations available to launch the blitz. With each nation using 2 slots, we were able to match ADULT -- that is a fair fight. Having nations raid me at update, knocking my NS in half, shows there is no integrity from the FARK side of this. Ya'll came in with an agenda to illicitly, unprovokingly, and unethically destroy our nations when you have a clear advantage. The sad story is, you couldn't even do that. win for FARK.
  14. A 1 on 1 war, so difficult. A fair war, so difficult. I thought this was tournament edition?
  15. We get criticized for an "unfair" war, wtf is this? I was under the impression FARK and SWAT were buddies?
  16. ADULT was a strong target compared to us -- before the war I was afraid our men and women weren't going to be able to be as successful as we were. We have limited active members, a good number of ghosts, etc; they have a good number of active members, lots of nukes, etc. However, clearly, I was wrong. Their number one dropped from 4277 to 3350 in one night, that is 927 NS. That puts their #1 at NS higher/comparable to mine originally and now nearly slowly moving out of my range. Most of their other nations suffered comparable damage. o/ SWAT
  17. The admins wont get rid of their only means of keeping the website up (and making profit), lets be realistic.

  19. I hope this suggestion continues. An earlier poster said the admin has said this will never happen; I'd like to know the reasons so we can engage in discussion over those. I've thought this well over and I genuinely believe there is no disadvantage to this system. Although I think SE should never consider speeding up, TE is supposed to be "rapid paced" and it definitely is not.
  20. That is a great argument for SE where a new nation has little to no incentive to play because they will soon realize the game is very slow and massively political. However in TE where members are almost always SE players, there is a known and predictable expectation of war. Plus, this would encourage people to login more than once a day so the impact would be nonexistent as for those who login more than once a day, instead of logging in an doing nothing, now there is something to do.
  21. So, in my original investigation of TE and deciding whether or not I wanted to join, I saw that the description said something like TE being more rapid and fast paced. Although that is obviously true, I don't think it is really as fast pace as it can/should be. So, here in my pitch: I think shorter rounds are "good", because just like in SE if you join mid-round it is unlikely you will become a top 5% nation, etc. However, I really do not think that TE is rapid. Similar to SE, you can literally login once and day and do just fine in this game... especially if you are not in an alliance that actually participates in active wars. I think this inherently makes the game not rapid. So, my suggestion is to make the game "update" twice per day, once at midnight and once at noon. Essentially, doubling the amount of days but still making the periods/rounds "short". This would mean that in one day, a nation could potentially go from 6% to nuclear and armed. In regards to game play, it makes the game more exciting and interesting. Likewise, for those who are unavailable to login at update, you often find yourself unable to find raid targets because everybody is already in anarchy. This would allow for people potentially sleeping at 5AM awake at 5PM (the other reset in their local time) to be online. In regards to the admins, increased game play means users are encouraged to login more. Because users are now logging in more, additional ad revenue could be generated exponentially.
