1. It might be a good thing to disable the results... definitely how we can see who voted for what... lol.
 2.
Again you keep talking about trade circles, temp trades, everything that I haven't taken any issue with. This has just been so distorted from my original point which was that you can't just calculate slot usage and give the award to the alliance with the highest as if that is the be all and end all of economic growth. In that very post you recognise that it isn't... I've explained why I have the opinion I do, and how I'm not trying to take away from Umbrella's achievements, many times. So like I said to mrcalkin, if you disagree with it then so be it the opinions are pretty much polar opposites, just don't come at me with all figures to show me how brilliant Umbrella is at what you do because I already know. Your level of dedication cannot be questioned, and has not been questioned either, I personally would just place greater weight elsewhere if that situation existed.
You are absurd. This is the first time I, or anybody in this thread, has mentioned any dimension other than tech procurement. But now that I finally address your concerns over "other levels of growth," you claim that I "keep talking about...everything I haven't taken issue with." If your argument is that there is "[something you'd] place greater weight," I don't understand what that might be when I have addressed every single dimension of cybernations economics. It's like you're saying "if there was another dimension that currently does not exist in this game, and an alliance happened to be better at that dimension, then I would obviously have to err on the side of this other alliance with regards to the economics award." It's like claiming "well I believe that the sky is blue... but if there was evidence to believe the sky wasn't blue, although there really isn't at this point, I would believe the sky was not blue." Do you realize how silly that sounds? Either that, or I am grossly mistaking your vagueness for an accidental lack of logic; which, if this is the case, I'd love to hear what this other dimension is, and love to hear who would be succeeding at this dimension. By this I mean that you are obviously entitled to your opinion on who has the best economic system, based on your own criterion. But in my opinion, I believe that Umbrella is winning on every criterion established by the economics staff of every alliance in this game.
 3.
Yeah I know the benefits of tech, I mean Umbrella is an outrageous alliance in terms of tech but compared to the average I'm hardly tech light myself... If I had innovative ideas to grow nations successfully I wouldn't be slumming it like I am now, I'd be either making my own successful alliance or be in economics of another alliance. I wasn't talking about growth in general. It's been sort of side-tracked into people thinking I'm saying Umbrella don't deserve the award, which is not what I've ever claimed. I was just saying I didn't see why people were pulling up slot efficiency and saying that's it, Umbrella wins, as if it's the be all and end all of economics. I mean, has Umbrella bought 4mil NS worth of tech in the year? Or are you growing in other ways too? I've said a few times now that I'm not saying Umbrella don't deserve the award, just if an alliance had created and utilised an innovative and successful new growth programme in the year I would place more value in it than being the very best at something that's pretty simple to grasp and has been around for an age.
Representing Umbrella econ, I can tell you that nearly every single one of our nations is in a consistent long-term trade circle. Most of our nations temp trade each and every collection cycle. We are proud of our infra:tech rations. We've doubled our NS in the last year. And most importantly, we import more tech than any other nation in the game per capita.. meaning in tech-based NS, we beat everybody else. It's been established we've imported at least 360,000 tech since march, which equates to 1,800,000 NS alone. Thats just under half of our total NS growth. Our tech importation is crucial to our growth agenda, and I don't understand why you don't realize that. In this game, nothing matters other than your ability to import tech efficiency and have a solid infra:tech ratio to maximize your profit while not destroying your ability to conquer during war.
 4.
No, I prefer the numbers that since March of 2010, the NPO has delivered from the Tech Corps over 200,000 Units of technology not even including what was sent over the holidays. The 200k is 25% of the total tech Umbrella has and its was delivered in 9 months. I think those numbers speak louder than slot utilization any day of the week

On March 1st, Umbrella had 339k tech. Today we're at 801k tech. That's a difference of 426k tech. Yeah, some of them came from new members, but when you're talking about an alliance with less than 100 members versus an alliance with over 500 members, the fact that you're trying to argue how 500 members could move 200k tech and is better than a much smaller alliance (in terms of membership) who moved much much more than that in the same time period is absolutely hilarious. And in case you didn't look, Umbrella still has more tech than NPO.
Pure entertainment. Very interesting to see a top member of the NPO econ team unable to comprehend the tech importation logistics. If your slot usage is 25% and Umbrella is closer to 90%, that would mean that Umbrella would have been able to import 3x your 200k (600k; then pro-rated for your 5x size advantage = 120,000) in the same timeframe. Too bad we imported closer to 426k tech (likely closer to 360,000 taking into account new members)... which is... oh wait... exactly x3 what you imported pro-rated (120,000 x 3 = 360,000). Umbrellas tech represents 50% of their NS. NPO is 22%. Even Sparta beats you there... same with average tech/nation. I think its important to remember that total alliance tech means absolutely nothing when it comes to individual battles.
 5.
Noobs join any alliance out there, it's not difficult to be convincing in a PM. And sure, I'm ruining this game. I'm actually doing something and getting people pissed off and possible having a global war start off? What are you doing? Oh right, nothing except !@#$%*ing about how boring this game is.
I would love to hit you right now... but I would never do that to VE. Drop your protection, and we're on for a date.
 6.
We have guides on our forums and links to these very forums about alliances that are out there to help him or any nation choose where they wish to go. I told him he should find an alliance or he can even reside in mine until he finds the right one for him. If I cared about stats I would be actively recruiting now, wouldn't I?
People don't join alliances like yours in response to mass recruit PMs. Stop playing dumb. This is a political stunt, and its ridiculous. People like you ruin this game. If you want to be an activist, go defend the people currently getting raided--they need your selfless and benevolent assistance.
I wouldn't imagine asking for more than was dealt, so no worries there. And indeed, the people who don't do anything to try and spice this game up are the ones here complaining. Hey guys you want a war? I just gave you a chance to start one. Or !@#$% out and keep complaining, but know that you're a hypocrite for not doing anything next time you complain about this game being boring.
So you can cry to VE?
 7.
A Game: is a contest with rules to determine a winner.
Cybernations: A game full of party poopers encouraging stagnation. Often erroneously characterized as a "game."
 8.
Because my alliance stands to do what it can against tech raiding and protecting unaligneds when we can. In this case we can, and we have informed him of what's going on. If after that period he still wants to remain unaligned then that's his choice and everyone can have their fun.

Because I felt like giving it. Once it's done if he wants to remain on unaligned then everyone can have their go on him.
So... you are going to protect him for 7 days, or until he joins your alliance? Let me assume what your warning PM looked like. "Hi. Look at this thread on the OWF. You have 7 days protection from our alliance, we are against innocent nations being attacked. You're going to want to join an alliance to prevent this in the future." Maybe you were blunt and said "You should consider us", maybe not, but its all inferred. This is a political game, at best. Why don't you go check the recent wars and start defending people who are legitimately getting raided every day instead of using this as a political stunt to potentially recruit a nation that is likely on his way out the door.
 9.
That nation will be protected by Celestial Being for 7 days starting today.
party pooper of the year award

 13. I am on a University network and I'd like to refer some of my friends to CN due to the new incentives. However, I obviously fear the accusation of being a multi. I've always thought before to never worry about other people on my network because as long as we don't trade/aid/war, we'll be fine. But, because of the new incentives, and the fact that they were increased and more likely to be abused... I am worried that if I were to refer these people, it would throw up a flag, especially if I were to refer numerous people. Essentially, I am asking for advice: should I refer them, or not? We're all poli sci students, so I think CN could be enjoyable for a few of my friends... but I am sure as hell not going to risk my nation for them
 14. I am really happy to see you guys make this astounding achievement in your history. Beers for our friends over at GOONs.
 15. These changes were a difficult process. But in the end, I think we came out an even stronger and more connected alliance. I am proud of all the work our members put into developing these changes, and all the work our members will put into our alliance in the near future. This charter is the start of a long period of change, development, and growth within Umbrella. o/ umbrella o/ roquentin o/ nfl generic
 16. congratulations to our friends at AO and GOONS
 17. However, in the case of GOONs if you follow alliance links to their page, it still shows they have 3: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=85872
 18.
Looks like everyone gets to start back at 0! (Except for NoR, who still have 771)
NoR cheats!
 19. I'd like to see a larger grouping, such as the top 5% (which would be 1250ish), solely because I think it more accurately reflects power... not necessarily because of the ability to go nuclear, but more so because the top 250 is such a small amount. Even the top 2.5% would give a better array. Or even all the nations within war range currently with the top nation. The idea that I am going off is that in reality the top 250 hardly represents all of the high powered nations. A lot of alliances would have better representation in the top 1000, for instance, that could easily challenge nations with a better representation in the top 250. Good blitz attacks can easily turn an alliance upside down. So, the top 250 hardly gives a comparative example of true eliteness and strength.
 20.
500 tech is not enough if you're asking for maintenance after the site is complete...
I'd argue 500 tech is not even enough for the initial work. You're going to have to find somebody/somepeople interested in the program to volunteer their time, or expect to pay some people some real cash (or tech, I suppose). I'd be more than willing to help you however I can, I have a fair amount of experience in web design, programming, etc. I can refer you to a really reliable and affordable webhost, too. You can find me on IRC as Medicjoe95 usually idling in #umbrella
 21. Happy birthday to our friends over at GOONs.
 22. Hello all, I am looking to construct a new trade circle filled with long-term and reliable traders. This will be a bills/infra circle, so it should be advised that most members of this guild will (hopefully) be temping on occasion to collect taxes. This means: 1) If somebody cancels, leave the slot open, they will trade you back within 24 hours. 2) Avoid paying bills, if possible, until you're trading with them again. 3) Do not cancel on anybody who is supposed to be collecting soon without pre-arranging. Open discussions with your trade partners. Be respectful. 4) Do not cancel or quit the circle without giving us warning, its all about respect. Post if you want in and also PM me in-game. I may forget to check back here often, and would hate to give your spot to somebody else who contacted me through a different channel. That said I guess the cc box could possibly trim the ruler names if that was the issue...
If you notice the screen shot, you'll see what was highlighted. This happened numerous times during my quest for trade partners.
