  1. Check us out, newly added to the Sanction Race thread: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?s...st&p=610855
  2. (Don't get me wrong, I Legion. It's just ... well ... the quoted text. ) In all seriousness, all of the purple alliances are quite good (of course, I'm biased ). The six largest are Valhalla, United Purple Nations, Invicta, The Legion, Elysium, and OMFG (Ordinary Men Fighting Giants). There are also some great smaller alliances: Auxiliary Army, Avalon, The Avenguard Crusade, BAPS (Boards Alliance of Protectorate States), Defensive Mutually-Friendly Alliance, Federal Defence Force, Holy Order, Mauves Collective, SOAP, United Sovereignty of Nations, and United Federation of Outcasts.
  3. Oh, the immense irony. I would highly recommend that no one send any money to Swazz. Sending any kind of aid to rogues is generally frowned upon by the CN community. He is, of course, welcome to have as much aid outgoing as he wishes. Edited for Emphasis.
  4. Just out of curiosity, why do the people for whom you are looking have to be unaligned?
  5. Pros of Joining an Alliance: -protection from random attacks -diplomatic, financial, and military support if you are attacked -alliances often offer start-up aid -safer to tech trade; more stable tech trades -group of friends (makes the game more enjoyable) Cons of Joining an Alliance: -expected to help defend alliance (and to me, this isn't really a "con") Pros of Remaining Unaligned: -the chain of command begins and ends with you -sense of accomplishment of growing your nation without outside help Cons of Remaining Unaligned: -will likely be tech raided into oblivion -no diplomatic recourse (Shameless plug: Join the United Purple Nations; we've been committed to a healthy purple sphere since we've been founded.)
  6. Actually, as my PMs to you indicate, I have been working on getting you reparations, and I have ordered your attackers to peace out. I can't do things instantly. You must understand that RL > CN all the time, and I had finals this week. For future reference, bringing it up on the forums is probably not the best call.
  7. Let's remind ourselves that gravedigging = phail.
  8. @ the OP, PUKE (Patriotic Union of Kalashnikov Enthusiasts) is another alliance of firearm enthusiasts. Their forums are here.
  9. 42. But seriously, most of the people who will post will be recruiting for their alliance, and some will even refer you to defunct/dying alliances as a joke. There are literally hundreds of alliances. All of them offer the same basic things: protection, advice on how to most effectively grow your nation, and aid in some form (start-up, lotteries, aid dumps, etc.) What distinguishes most alliances are their cultures and the personalities of their more active members. If you'd like to get a feel for CN culture, there is no better thing to do than read these forums; you'll get quite an education on how Planet Bob operates. Also, if you visit the wikia, you'll be able to research alliances and history on your own. Or you could just jump in, though if you're going to do more than pay bills, collect taxes, and buy infrastructure, I'd advise against it. (*Magister Agricolarum inserts subliminal message to join the United Purple Nations.) Edit: And what Choop said.
  10. Expiration of surrender terms, methinks. But you're BLEU and would know better than I. Still, announcing a jump a month in advance... Congrats to all of the gainers.
  11. The four largest purple alliances are: Invicta The Legion United Purple Nations Valhalla Other purple alliances are: Auxiliary Army Avalon The Avenguard Crusade Confederation of Allied Nations Elysium League of the Right Ordinary Men Fighting Giants Samurai of the Sun SOAP Mauves Collective (or (shamless plug ) you could just PM me in game to learn about UPN )
  12. Did you click to see the results? That will nullify your vote.
  13. We're not all this crazy. Alright, I lie. But still, the UPN is an place to be!
  14. I'm going to assume that this is sarcasm (though I could be completely off; it certainly wouldn't be the first time) and say that I was addressing a possible cause of Invicta's drop only.
  15. The Lolluminati War is winding down and some nations decided to decom?
  16. This. ^ Also, you can drop anyone in UPN a line (in-game or forum) any time, or post for advice on our forums (that I know you use frequently ).
  17. You might want to change this, lest your members perpetually attack nations in other alliances. (Said other alliances don't appreciate attacks on their members.) Other than that, live long and prosper.
  18. Posting for Davemarik of Davemoria Link to screenshot of Davemarik's intent to resign from Illuminati and surrender to the UPN
  19. Posting for TheShizofSwimming of New Africa of Hope (Illuminati): <insert PM from me to him reminding him to post in the surrender thread> tl;dr, TheShizofSwimming resigns from Illuminati and surrenders to UPN.
  20. Oddly, I haven't heard anything to that effect. Because, y'know, that's my job. (OOC: **goes to double-check his signature; nods.) But Tela is so -able.
