1.
????? I got this at update minus 30 seconds
The top two were runners, and the third was in Anonymous for the whole round. Edit: verb tense agreement
 2.
I saw that the nation that "won" had zero attacking casualities.
No matter, there have been winners before that have done the same thing. A win is a win
 3.
$%&@ me i missed #1 defending by 4k
I managed to barely fall out of top 10 total
 4. Despite the fact that a lot of people tried to prevent Anonymous and Confusion's flag runners from winning, they snagged the top 3 ranks. Whether you like them or not, it's an impressive feat Congratulations.
 5. There's already a post by admin on this somewhere. If you do that, you get banned.
 6.
Clash, you should know better You've worked with us a lot in the past. We expected PS to hit us, they chose their own route for their own reasons. We've fought em before and we'll fight em again. In fact, the only alliance we have never fought as far as I know... Warriors. This extended round was weird for us all, I am not a fan of it and I hope it goes back to the reduced times. And I still think nukes should be way harder to get. Conventional fights should be the norm as opposed to nuke offs being the norm.
Yes, I completely agree. TE was better in the old days when it was hard to get nukes and not everyone had a MP. Reducing the power/effects of nukes would also help.
 7.
I see you're still calling it a "crap war" Clash. I really want to know how we've taken such a huge amount of losses if this war wasn't every bit as damaging as a war with LE would've been. LE's 26 nations can only nuke/ground us so much. The near 200 nations we've hit/been hit by instead...even if there were simply well trained monkeys at the controls would still at least come close to matching that. I've been nuked all but one day since we started, CMed, grounded, bombed etc. I lost 1500 infra, bought 1000 of it back, lost 400 tech, etc. Was it what you all wanted? No. Was it a cop-out? I truly don't believe that. Especially when we went into it knowing everyone would hate us. Especially if you add in the stats for the next nine rounds of AAs trying to "get us back"
I think the problem has become not so much the war itself, but rather that PS would do such a thing as give LE the flag (thus Clash's points about alliance politics).
 8.
Heh, Clash, this shows how much of a !@#$%* you're being. Continue to cry. Didn't expect it from you, but it does provide its entertainment.
It's not so much that we care that our nations are being destroyed as the general morals of AAs nowadays. OT: I see you decided to go ahead and post it Clash
 9. So will we see LE nations fighting LE nations? The top 14 nations are currently all LE and it's no mystery that it is that way. There just isn't enough targets
 10.
LOL you don't read too well do you?
What are you going on about?
 11.
Stand back, professional at work! This is a binomial distribution. The variance for the binomial distribution is N*p*(1-p). For values around p=0.5, you can just say N/4 and be close enough for government work. The standard deviation is then sqrt(N)/2, and if you want to turn your count into a frequency, it's 1/(2*sqrt(N)). If you want a standard deviation of 2% (0.02), so that you can nominally distinguish 50% from 60% at 5 sigma, then some algebra shows that you need a sample size of 625. As such, I'm willing to believe 50%, based on the evidence in that thread. (Fun fact - if it wasn't near 50%, the error bars wouldn't be symmetrical, so you'd have to compute confidence intervals by numerically integrating the appropriate conjugate prior. In this case, that's the beta function.) Regarding streakiness, this is something I've been a little paranoid about. However, you can build up some fairly long streaks with an unbiased RNG. For example, the current war between TPC-OP/Syn has seen the launch of roughly 800 nukes. That means there was a nontrivial chance of seeing a failure streak of 10 thwarted (1 in 1024), a better than even chance of seeing a streak of 9 (1 in 512), and probably several of 8 (1 in 256). I know that I personally ate one of the streaks of 7 while trying to nuke CowboyTx. There are some statistical subtleties here, as some failure streaks will be truncated due to the launcher running out of nukes. However, I think it would be interesting if somebody went through TPC's nuke reports and counted the number of streaks. Say, start with the streaks of 6 or more. So in summary, PS can kiss my ass. (So can the forum's profanity filters.)
Nice analysis. I'm tempted to believe that there is something strange about the SDI, both because of those stats and because of the uncanny number of 10-15 block streaks that occur. Such a streak is far too unlikely that the amount of nukes launched in a single round would give rise to even one streak. I blame the RNG
 12.
I thought I read somewhere that I have to complain to get countered so here goes... complain complain complain three open defensive slots complain complain complain my nation link http://tournament.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=1000460 complain complain complain someone come get me complain complain complain want to use up everything before the round ends complain complain complain
I would do you the favor, but I've been in nuke anarchy for the past week or so
 13.
lol, you guys never stopped using it, so I don't think we will either. Especially since no one can tell me WHY it's a down declare when you consider counters. We declared on 21 alliances or some such crap.
Again, there can be few counters from alliances that could not get out of NA early enough to declare.
 14.
shazz and i got his attention long enough to assign him some targets we give the people what they want.
See, complaining works sometimes
 15.
charlie is not active for war, bcortell posted that earlier. hopefully he can declare some wars and just launch nukes and that murphys law guy and hodor are exactly why PS did this. damn turtles/hiders.
What do you mean "not active"? Last time we fought Charlie declared on me IIRC. Those guys, regardless if they're runners, still aren't putting up a fight. Those three PS nations I pointed out are having a walkover
 16. This guy is attacking one guy who is gone (Aragorn10), one guy who has been turtling for a week (Yom Rishon), and one guy in Synergy 1/3 his NS (freedom): http://tournament.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=1000495 Basically the same here, since hodor sold his infra: http://tournament.cybernations.net/search_wars.asp?search=1000624&Extended=1 This guy has no wars: http://tournament.cybernations.net/search_wars.asp?search=1000329&Extended=1 Come on, guys.
 17.
Sometimes I get to wondering about those sneaky lil hidden quirks that the war system seems to have at times. In my war experience this round, it realllyyy seems like SDIs are doing some funky things. Ms. Chocolate just had an incredible string of thwarts, and I mean that with no pun intended. Even one good bout of hard, quality thwarting can be a war-changer y'know. Even MY luck with the SDI was useful tonight, and it has almost as bad a rep as Neo's SDIs used to have in the old days. Interesting indeed. We must get ours at Walmart and she gets hers at Home Depot.
Whoa! Nice job on the SDI today though
 18. It's true, the SDIs are on strike. Bibbs hit Clash and I both with his first, and Clash hit Bibbs twice over update on the first try. This is madness!
 19.
To be honest, yes. Out of the top 100 nations, PS has about 25. Since we didn't hit LE, there goes another 19 nations. OP had 3. That leaves 53 nations out of the top 100. Some of those guys (around a half dozen give or take) had full slots, got deleted (what the hell happened to Sierra Republic), or sold off goods to drop them in NS. A few more dropped significantly in NS. So, we were left with hitting everyone we could that was a top 120-140 nation. We had something like 63 assigned targets. 53 minus, say 7 guys, from the top 100, gave us 46. Another 17 from after that. (Even if it was the next 17 nations, it would bring us to the top 117 nations (which it wouldn't be), and you're sitting at 131 right now after being nuked).
I know I was in your target list range, but I'm saying that under no circumstances do I qualify as a top nation. If I could collect taxes, then maybe, but as it stands I'm not really top. I guess it's just semantics though, and I don't really wish to argue with you over such a trivial point.
 20.
If a navy is useless, don't buy it and let it bloat your NS. If you have 4 nukes and 20mn, you should have bought more nukes. Everyone we declared on was a top ranked nation, and that's how we chose targets. That, along with alliance hoppers/war avoiders that we felt deserved getting hit. It feels like a total ******* move by us because it was meant to be. No more hiding, no more BS, per our DoEEEEE this round.
I was at 10k NS and in nuclear anarchy (and still am). Top nation?
 21.
Three SDIs amongst me, Dock and JD. All 3 nukes launched landed. It's not been a good round for SDIs
Hey, I blocked 10 in a row against a RE guy. The SDIs are going on strike for this war though.
 22. D'oh. Switched to rad cleanup in the hopes of getting a collect but Mr. Bibbs landed his first nuke on me
 23.
I personally like this war, why should PS and LE be pigeon holed into fighting because TE in general and flag runners in particular deem it so. It is the end of round which is the time for chaos. Once I am able I will declare on adude but I will still get some TPC. If any LE or PS or anyone for that matter we won't care, we can't take it with us. On,a personal note... Stop crying like a !@#$%* Adufe.
Welp, anybody who doesn't get attacked would like it
