  1. Some of this is quite funny, but not what you think.

I just get this impression of NSO's private IRC channel.

    "I'm the most devious player!"
"No, I'm the most devious player and I'm a monster too"
"No, I'm the most alpha of you lot. Mom says so!"

And so on. Angry Teenager Alliance, promise me you'll never change.

  2. You guys, you didn't let me know that CN had a new holiday!

    This week has seen

    Legion*
    UPN*
    Guru Order and
    IRON

all take part in an attempt to amuse and bemuse the masses.

What is your alliance planning for this most fun of Planet Bob weeks?

*perhaps overly fond of the holiday.

  3. the more i think of this shameful and poorly implemented abandonment, the more I wonder what existing and new allies will think should another war happpen. Will they too be rewarded with a clumsy realignment move, should IRON see it fit?

This week should be called Clumsy Diplomacy Week.

  4. Nobody comes out this smelling of roses. UPN needs to do more research and learn to make friends before making mergers. GO needs to know this is not how diplomacy works. I see both sides equally damaged by this thread. I'd certainly think twice about approaching GO about anything, not knowing where they're level of humour lies.

Smells like government inexperience on both sides.

I hear this from current and former Legionnaires pretty regularly. I'm shocked that I haven't had more rogue attacks. I've only had one, and it was a Valhallan!

Mostly because we are law abiding folks. Bad enough that ordinary Legionaires paid for what you did, without causing STA trouble too.

Because I was there. As the MoFA, no less. Also, my nation has three open war slots. If you think I should be perma-ZI'd, then attack me and do it.

Support or not, leave your aa and I'll be around your house with chocolates, flowers and nukes. (or would be, if I was in range).

  7. I'm going to defend Pez here. She was mostly right about ODN. Sure we asked them a lot to not get involved, but sometimes you say to a friend; "Sod that, I ain't leaving' and roll up your shirt sleeves. The pre-purplegate cancellation threat is new to me and does make me warm to that ODN. The new ODN has chosen to hang around street corners with the 'tough kids' and who knows, maybe the Legion has decided to do the same thing?

On topic. Good luck to both sides.

I've never been fired as Minister of Economics. I was fired when I worked under another Minister of Economics but it wasn't because of skill. I resigned after almost a year with the title because honestly I was just getting tired. I took a nice break and I'm back now. It is really funny how many wrong things you've said in this thread while claiming to be a model, informed, super active member. You really don't know what went down...

HymenBreach, it is much easier to grow an alliance of 15 people (most of which were in the Ministry of Economics) with 100% activity than an alliance of 400 people with 50% activity. 33% for your alliance is probably <1% for us.

I was talking about personal nation growth.

Also, I've never obeyed a gag order in my life, along with some other people (hai, Pez)and never got punished for it.
