there is always more than meets the eye.. (re: confusion).. casualties may be a way of life but targeting an alliance that was rolled a week ago pretty hard and claiming it's okay because there are 3 target alliances?.. bull.... this is going to be a very hard fight for RD to rise to after the amount of damage done to us last week.. yes, I used all the money i had been saving last week to come out on top.. now i enter a secone blitz situation in a week (this time with no warchest and much better prepared opponents) and don't see an outcome that is anywhere near as good coming... please be careful though.. I am not going to roll over and walk away but many players have been doing so.. Hitting people while they are down drives many to quit and that is dangerous for those of us who like to play.. TE player numbers have been falling pretty steadily.. causing players to get fed up with being repeatedly rolled and walk is painful to all of us.. on a less serious note... 5 of 6 return attacks successful.. sort of.. 2 underdog bonus and a 9% victory.. *shrug* no funds to buy nukes this time.. and 3 opponents nuke capable or close to it.. and no support from other RD members... (see above notes about dwindling player count) this will hurt.. hope I can make it hurt back a little... :) keeping up the smiles:) still like the game even when losing...

Happy Birthday to me:) I go to dinner with my wife:) and come back to another confusion controlled goon squad attacking RD??? I see I have 3 opponents.. whee.. and I'm in anarchy again.. Whee... I guess it's time to start pounding back again... Sigh.. I didn't realize i was going to go for casualty bonus this round... sigh..

HEH... thanks for the recognition.. I've been rogued 7 of the last 10 rounds.. I've gotten into the habit of prepping for a fight... sorry you had to run afoul of that... I guess on that note we'll discuss the peace offer... Our initial response has been traditional RD.. you bit, we bite back harder... I'll check with my co-leaders and see if they are willing to stand down this time... I've already expanded my attacks, but I'll see about holding off for now... I'll get back to you ingame.

I think it freaks some opponents out when we give advice on how to fight better during a war:)

I've been there.. I recommend being careful trying to start any AA under 10 members... and even then it is tough... We have had several RD members spin off to start their own alliances with varying degree of success.. the thought here is Protectorate...

[/quote] i guess it comes to reasonable limitations... if the raiding nation has ceased attacking and sent peace but the target refuses to accept and there are additional defenders on the raider there is a time consideration. after a day of the raider getting beat up and trying to bow out it becomes a reverse raid. in this case diplomatic response is often appropriate but if a couple days pass without any progress I can understand an alliance defending one of their own. HOWEVER, that diplomatic action should not be rushed or overlooked or it can be seen as bullying. Most of the time this doesn't become an issue, but I've been in all parts of this ... (raider, raidee, diplomat defense, diplomat offense, support, judge, jury, executioner, bystander...etc.) the issue arises mostly when a player forgets this is just a game and these are just pixels. It definately becomes a challenge to having fun. In addition the # of nations in an alliance for it to be a valid raid target should be more of a concern than ever before. There are more small alliances appearing and this is a good growth pattern for the game.

RD policy is to defend our nations fully if they get raided but if you raid you do so at your own risk. Greenacres 10 raid commandments are a pretty good guideline with minimal modifiers for TE. (the Greenacres rules recommend raiding with a buddy... that is a good idea if you want to avoid trouble) bullying is not generally effective against certain alliances, round 2 found RD standing against IDIOT and holding our own. I wish more nations would fight back when raids occur, that makes the raiding more risky and less prevalent:)

RD is getting to be an old name in TE and We want you to know that it means something to us. This is our first DOE and it seemed necessary because we are Resetting the alliance to some old standards. The three original founders are asserting control for round 14 and we hope to return the alliance to it's original attitude and adhere to our charter more fully. TO ROUND 14!
