Can I help it if the people who left over me were so butthurt over preserving the internal status quo (And that I wouldn't just genuflect before their Alliance Seniority) that they will not listen when a voice says its broken and offers a solution? As I recall, NO ONE offered an actual alternative to my plans and they were better than the status quo at the very least.
I don't recall you ever offering a decent, non ridiculous, solution to much of anything. Especially in the MoD.

your campaign and practices once elected were so memorable, i haven't any idea at all what you did while in office besides edit people's posts. like i said, only memorable for being thick headed and a poor leader. -
i didn't foresee someone from MCXA government going rogue in the middle of their term just to ghost another alliance and cause a stir in a "this is how i quit" moment of tiny-balled-fist rage.
but it doesn't surprise me that you plan on rerolling already. spare yourself from responding to me; it's refreshing to see you leave MCXA, considering several people left because of your utter mockery of intellect when people tried to explain anything to you. -

Okay 380. That one deserves a mention in Trashcat's Corner. Best one liner I've seen all week.

good to see some old names here, yours and mine. -

It's evident that people just won't let Caffine move on.
you can build a thousand bridges, and people know you're a bridge builder; you screw one goat, and you're branded for life. -

Give me a break, don't bring up old grudges here, especially in very poorly researched arguments.
oh, so i guess i can repost the logs that you bandied about to garner attention? please, it would be degrading.
look around you, caffine. all i see is old grudges. old grudges kept me out of echelon when there was a clause that i could never hold a political office- and that was of my own volition. when i need another lesson on how to carry a grudge, i'll apply at echelon again. -

From personal experienece I know caf can be blunt... but can you please provide any logs to show where he was unreasonable in dealing with this as I personally have not seen any.
from personal experience as a former leader of your alliance, he's an unreasonable person. i'm sure that a lot of the minions in echelon are blinded by the aura of his genius, but there's a good reason that a manipulative person was not allowed to hold a government position in echelon.

Oh Jesus Christ, grow a spine people. Holy Mother of Admin.
PC made a firm statement regarding the acting MoFA because of his aptitude in his job. how is this spineless?

You don't suppose the quick edit had anything to do with the fact that you raided their protectorate based on that wiki?? And they quickly fixed it so they didn't continue to have this problem??
Glad to see once again that PC can be shamed into doing the right thing.
the FA team in Echelon could have done a little better job with keeping their protectorates documented. a quick edit after the fact and then lies about the timing is pretty bad form. -
You didn't trust your alliance mates to drop you enough to get out of bill lock? That's sad.
if you only knew them

caffine tends to worm his way into stuff, talk to people as if he had more authority, and generally be a !@#$%. when i was in echelon, he was running all kinds of snooping programs on irc and impersonating various members of government. when he insisted on sitting in on peace talks or pre-war talks, he would always run his mouth about the most retarded minutia.Wow. I don't like that 'cute' demeanor bit. Nor do I care for the 'barring someone from gov'. Nor the 'only folks over 1000 tech can pay reps'. All three of those suck by themselves; taken together, these are awful.Props to R&R for being more than decent, and congrats to all on achieving a peace.
essentially, the leaders and members of echelon should be able to simply not vote him into office, but because they are unwilling...
there's a reason for it. it's sad, but necessary.
-
Blitz/Caffine sucks and should be erased from the game imo
remember when he brought CN to gat and then jaymay attacked him and nobody cared? those were the days.
-
not reading 36 pages, but:
10. Should Caffine1 rejoin Echelon he is permanently banned from holding any government position within the alliance.it's amusing when other alliances see the destructive ignorance behind this guy. caffine can hate on me all he wants, but when i was in GAT, then GAT-ITEC, then Echelon, he always had to have his way, and he aided in making a bad situation worse. so it doesn't surprise me that he's called out here.
good luck to you, caffine, but god help any alliance you get into.

and my humble apologies for not addressing it before, but everyone i fought against had a lot of honour in their wars against me, grand patriarch aside.
MCXA went through a lot leading up to this war, and not that it's an excuse, but it added further complication to a situation some people just weren't ready for.
someone mentioned "culling the herd". well, yeah. not to be cynical, but it really did have that effect. seeing a sanctioned alliance, a lot of people join for the protection that provides. grand patriarch, for example: had he attacked me before i had been anarchied, before i had no troops, before i sent off 15mil so the other people hitting on me couldn't steal it from a 2500NS nation, before he joined Sith- i would have mopped the floor with him. but not every nation in my alliance had an obscene warchest going into the war. not every nation was prepared enough to handle what went down. things need to change, and will. the war left a bad taste in people's mouths, about preparedness, about treaties, etc. things will change.
-
with your (first) nation, you weren't in an alliance and were tech raided by an MCXA nation. that nation was given funds as part of a growth program, and he used them to fight you. so he wrecked house, and you rerolled. so you carried a grudge against an entire alliance, declared war on myself and others, admitting to me that your wars were opportunistic:After learning of the Karma War, I began attacking MCXA nations, which I held a grudge with, but I don't belong to an alliance. I refuse to consider my involvement in this war to be opportunistic, as my intentions were to inflict as much damage to MCXA during the duration of this war, much to my own losses. After this treaty was signed, one MCXA member messeged me with a threat that now the war is over, MCXA will ZI my nation. This MCXA member demanded surrender with restitution of 100 tech and 3,000,000 cash, which is well beyond the ability of my nation with a population less than 10,000. After a few hours from this theat, another MCXA member declared war and started attacking my nation.
So my primary interest in this treaty is whether the terms are exclusive to alliance-affliated nations, or if they equally apply to all nations that participated in this war against MCXA.
"I never joined another alliance, to my belief that I will have to resolve this grudge alone, by my own power.
And today, THE GODS BLESS THE KARMA WAR, I am able to wage war with righteousness."
your own words, used against you.
and yes, i demanded reps from you of 3mil and 100tech and that i would personally ZI you because of your ridiculous war against me. i did several hours before this treaty was signed, because you demanded my alliance surrender to you and offer pay you reps of 1mil:
"Most importantly, your alliance will offer me 1,000,000 in reparations for the damage done to my nation by your alliance."
so you demanded reps be offered on behalf of a nation that doesn't even exist. ok. i offer your currently non-existent nation reparations of 1,000,000.
and yes, i asked that other nations declare on you because you were obviously lacking some mental faculties, but you had balls to gnash your teeth and make demands that cannot be fulfilled in any way, shape, or form.
You are either lying or shockingly ignorant. You did NOT eject TSO from MCXA, they left of their own accord. I found out what they were planning a week before it took place and warned my brothers in the alliance of what was going to transpire. Because it seemed likely that MCXA was going to disband, I suggested that they get out of MCXA. For this I was branded a traitor for the first time. I believed at the time that it was worth all the accusations of betrayal, because I wouldn't regret doing what was right and letting people know what was really going on. It makes me both sad and angry that people like YOU are forgetting the past, making my sacrifices during those difficult times seem completely insignificant and irrelevant.what if i'm lying about being shockingly ignorant? you left because you didn't get your way in overthrowing the government, so i would classify you as irrelevant.
Or do I need to provide screenshots to jog your memory? What about the thread where I volunteered to audit any nation that requested it, because war was on the horizon? Or the countless times I brought up the war in the MCXA High Council government forum, or in #MCXA-govt?"you do realize that providing screenshots of our forum will only bring about spy allegations.

one treaty we canceled. three treaties pulled out from under us. we were so active about cutting our options.oh what is this oh my it looks like MCXA canceling a treatyhttp://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?s...677&hl=MCXA
check your facts
i have plenty of faith in my government. they were negotiating with what?- eight alliances to get these terms hammered out. my post wasn't about trolling, so i'm advising you to stop advising me, i guess.I'd advise you against trolling your own surrender thread. As others have pointed out, these are extremely lenient payments that are more symbolic than anything else. 5% of your tech? That's a heck of a lot cheaper than continuing the war for another day. Have some faith that your government actually may have made the right decision today. If we wanted to follow typical hegemony surrender terms, it should've been 200k tech and either sentencing your peace mode nations to ZI or forcing them to refrain from aiding the rest of their alliance for the duration of these terms.I'd also advise you against trying to rewrite history when it's still fresh in so many peoples' minds. TSO wasn't 100% of MCXA's government, and MCXA didn't eject them. You also can't blame them for everything MCXA ever did.
Further, this is about the current conflict, not the BLEU Revenge Wars. If this was about revenge and making you suffer, you'd see harsher terms.
and more advise i don't need. TSO was a large chunk of MCXA's government. they were found out to be undermining the alliance by forming their own new alliance within MCXA. people called for their expulsion, they left. why split hairs?
further, i never mentioned any other conflict, but i'll take it under advisement not to mention any petty affairs of the past.

ahh. missed those terms in the fray, what with all the rebuilding projects i've been planning in the shelter under my capitol building. No, TSI took the first "heavy" (at least for this war) terms. -
hahaha i'll leave this one alone, since you don't even care what you're fighting for, apparently. and yeah, i'd know it. but you'd be hard pressed to get nations into my range.Key word, these reps are not senseless, they are intact very light considering circumstances. If we really embraced what we are fighting against, you would know it.
public opinion waxes and wanes. if the opinion falls away from one ideology that previous governments embraced, the current leaders adapt to the new circumstances, even if it goes against their own preferences. since we've a democratically run government and all that fancy stuff.Just two quick nitpicky things. One, you have some staunch NPO supporters in your current government who have sided with them as long as I've known them. Two, you didn't "eject" us; we left of our own free will. But congrats on peace nonetheless
everyone has been getting white peace: no terms. everyone just stops fighting. MCXA is basically the first alliance to take one in the keister, so to speak.I don't quite understand this comment. -
i thought karma's kick was to stop the senseless terms of mass payments of tech, etc. good to see a reversal of this policy, especially since it goes right back to embracing what you're fighting against. You should be glad you have such merciful victors MXCA. Congrats on peace.
everyone that was in government when we sided with NPO is now running TSO. after ejecting them, we got dragged into this because of long-standing treaties. but i guess you watched the documentary already.I'm extremely pleased to see some of my Karma comrades actually have some backbone. Central pillars of the Hegemony should not be allowed to go unpunished. -
Yeah, I heard you were my successor. They couldn't muzzle me, so they needed someone with less free thought. I must say though, the track record of the people who have left your alliance seems to be much more impressive than that of the useless people who are getting into power these days.
sup4 made it past our screening process, but we corrected that.

grats on peace, guys.

my nation was on it's 20th day of inactivity because i was saving for collection, and i had planned on collecting when i got off work today at 7pm EST.
tried logging in, and it says that my user name isn't valid. i had been informed by alliances i'd been in in the past that as long as i collect on the 20th day, i would be ok. and as long as i didn't wait until it actually became the 21st day, i would be able to collect taxes.
so did i just lose my nation or what? it's still five hours until update, yet the site is telling me that my nation doesn't exist.
any help is appreciated.

haha echelon is always full of good times.

it's an improvement-wide bug, apparently.
i cannot destroy any of my improvements, and was going to come here and post with images. i'm glad you did so already, as t saves me 30 seconds of hosting and pasting the images myself. cheers.

bolded for relevance: if sponge owned the server, then it's not being held hostage. it was his. whenever you finish law school, please let me know what state/country you reside in so i can give it a wide berth. You used your hosting of the NPO forum as a threat against TrotskysRevenge, to try to force him to step down as Emperor. It was a de facto coup of the NPO, orchestrated in part by yourself. It worked, for a short time. The only way it was thwarted was by copying the NPO forum to a server controlled, not by you, but by NPO leadership ... an action you try to label as a misdeed. Yet the contents of that forum were created by the NPO's leadership and members, not by you. You had no right to hold them hostage, legally or otherwise, and you did so in hopes of affectuating your coup. Now you're trying to convince NPO members to "rise up" again. Old habits die hard, I guess.
the american colonists were disloyal in the minds of the british, yet they are revered as heroes. those colonists demonstrated loyalty to a cause that the british couldn't understand. it's plain that you also have a very simple view of things.Disloyal acts demonstrate a lack of loyalty.
incorrect word usage. you should have access to NpO forums only if you are granted such access. if your access has been revoked, then it's plain that you shouldn't have access, but conceivably could have access. You know, there are the NpO forums where NPO should also have access.
boy, could i tell you a thing or two about your own alliance.ES man, what the hell is this man? This is not how one treats and ally, even when you have differences.

a long and difficult road lies before you. good luck in your endeavour, as i know from personal experience that it isn't easy.

You were too busy trolling the improvements Timeline wanted to make with your head so far up his butt you couldn't stop and look at anything else.
I wouldn't expect someone who can't even build his nation to understand.
reserving comment on timeline since i am back in MCXA, but if i was trolling him becasue i disliked his ideas, why would my head be up his butt? is it just that you have such a poor grasp on the english language that you have no clue what falls out of your mouth, ever?
you claim that i don't know how to build a nation, yet you're the one that blew his entire warchest in order to pick up a measly 200infra. so you had a 3200infra nation, zero wonders, zero warchest, and started buying tech. you sound like a real winner in a footrace. how is going rogue working for you? 240infra and you finally picked up a wonder? epic fail
