heh, so a war between NpO /GGA and GOONS turns into everyone turning opportunists. These reasonings for war have nothing to do with the conflict at hand. No disrespect to Shadowhood, cause i do have friends there, but yall's reason for entering this war was also very opportunistic. gg guys.

so then why didn't everyone sit back and let NpO/GGA fight GOONS without interference? it's called drama. everyone craves it, and without it these boards would be dead.

without drama, there would be no tech raiding. there would be no alliances. everyone would make their little nation, have the minimum number of troops on hand, and it'd be a little utopia.

if you want that, then you might as well drop out of your alliance, give your tech and military away, and just buy infrastructure until the site owners take all the cash people have been feeding the site and run with it.

No, that part was about the whole us in the clear to attack GOONS because they made it void, otherwise - we would have to fight for them.

but GOONS didn't make it void...

On a more serious note; You as the second largest nation of your rather small alliance declare a war against one of the biggest alliances in CN and then jumping into peace mode is just plain wrong. Either you are neutral and stay out or you declare and fight.

Well I admit that this is a bad declaration but these are not the only reasons.

I've seen worse declarations, some of which were made by GOONS

don't you put all your reasons in a DoW so that people will look at them and say, "ok, that's fair enough."

i don't know- i'm kinda new to this whole CN politics thing, but it makes sense to me that you throw all your grievances in the DoW so everyone knows exactly what's up. "we don't like GOONS" is petty, considering your DoW is about Genmay pissing you off.

Case in point, we don't like GenMay, but when I walked in on a topic of gay porn while doing FA on the GOONS forums last year, I lost all my respect for you, and trust me, finding an alliance that supports gay porn is worse than an alliance making a bad declaration.

i'm not gay. i don't dig guys at all. but i don't have a problem with them. i must not put out that gay vibe either, because my girlfriend has several gay friends, and even before they knew we were dating, they didn't hit on me because well, i guess their gaydar didn't pick me up. that being said, i don't hate homosexuals. i used to be uncomfortable, but after some lengthy talks with my bi girlfriend and some of her gay friends(male and female), it's a non-issue for me.

now, on to how this affects you. there are all kinds of people in this world, and if you're going to condemn a group of people because their sexual orientation doesn't align properly with your outlook on society because you are closed-minded, then you're the one with issues. not them. not me because i accept them. YOU.

worst of all, you not only look down on them but you ridicule them here. then you use the "homosexual defense" as a tertiary reason for declaring war on GOONS(when really- you're pissed off at Genmay... wtf?!), when what's probably closer to the truth is that it was your primary reason for jumping on the warpath and you just threw in the fluff about Genmay to make it seem more digestible for the rest of us.

this does make sense, from a certain perspective. if they were gong to be the ones starting the whole war, expecting to sucker punch GOONS and actually do some damage- and then right after that, they have what is now the 'justice league' smash into genmay... yeah, ok. that might have made sense. maybe.

instead, this is like a bunch of high schoolers showing up at a party. one of the kids asked for a beer from his jock friend. the jock didn't give it to him on fast enough, so he punched a different jock in the arm to show how mad we was, then!- he runs across the street to hang out in a different party.

not that i'm not going to be pissed about more people joining the side i'm on, but if you're going to kick an ant hill over, the least you could do is do it for a good reason.

i understand what you're saying, peter. i'm not in every alliance keeping tabs on the movements of every character here, so all i have to go on is what trickles down. the shadowhood went to war, and we went with them. that's how it stands as of now. i can't answer for why they went to war. but that's where we are now.

This being submitted late, so it's basically just a formal declaration to keep everything on the level- just in case GS didn't know they were getting attacked...

On 10 September 2007, the Shadowhood alliance, in accordance with the greater portion of the community of nations, announced their entry into the ongoing conflict with a declaration of war against the Golden Sabers. This was in response to GS atrocities committed against a smaller alliance (NAVY), whose sole crime was to remain independent and sovereign.

We of the newly incorporated alliance of GAT-ITEC announce our solidarity with their just cause by activating our MDAOP with the Shadowhood, and declare that as of yesterday a state of war has existed between GAT-ITEC and the Golden Sabers. It is our consideration that our MDOAP was automatically activated in tandem with the Shadowhood's declaration, and that the war will persist until such time as the Golden Sabers have agreed to peace terms submitted by the Shadowhood in accordance with GAT-ITEC.

We enter this battle with loyalty towards our friends, confidence in our own abilities, and contempt for the lawless and illegitimate actions of our enemies. Let the name of GAT-ITEC shine in the annals of history.
