Declaration of the President of the Prairie Republic, Dr. Douglas Young
People of the World - The anarchy in the Prairie Republic has ended. With the determination of our great people, a new age begins for our Midwestern nation. The states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota have risen again. Although the last few years have been a difficult time, government services and control is now being reestablished in the region. Through our cooperation with the protectors Blue Heaven, we are beginning to ascend to new heights.
As a nation committed to the rights and freedoms of our people, we pledge our sacred oath to the Constitution of the Prairie Republic. We aspire to develop each citizen's full potential.
As our militia regains control of our tattered nation, we have begun establishing our Capitol in the great city of Sioux Falls, Dakota.

As our first act of nationhood, we cordially invite all nations to our new capital for a friendly meeting and establishment of relations. We hope to cooperate with all nations for the betterment of mankind and all humanity.
OOC: Kitex has agreed, he should be posting shortly.

We see no danger of Crimea itself falling into the hands of nations far away.
However, we do condemn the Crimea's attack on the Tahoe Republic.
In addition, if the war started by Crimea expands into the vicinities of Europe, we will consider enacting a vote of expulsion to Crimea under the PEPTO charter's clause " If a nation commits a vile act detrimental to Europe while within our ranks".
So far, its actions have not really negatively affected Europe, and as such, we see no reason to do so at the moment. -
Federal Union troops will be increasing border security, and intervention will be considered if our Slavorussian allies request.

Federal Union of Slavic Republics Declaration
From the Offices of the Presidium
Due to the Europe First Policy of the Federal Union of Slavic Republics, there is no reason to be involved in overseas wars. However, we believe that a swift conclusion to the conflict should be reached as soon as possible. In addition, since the Tahoe Republic was seen in a friendly light in the FUSR, borders and trade with nations engaged in conflict will be closed and suspended for its duration and any additional time that the Government deems necessary.

Although it is rather dissappointing that two of our close allies could not have formed into one with great splendor, the Federal Union of Slavic Republics sees that this referendum, regardless of result, will greatly improve Deutschlander-GDR relations.

The Federal Union of Slavic Republics expresses concerns over allegations of police brutality in Slavorussia.

The FUtSR will send head officer of Scandinavian affairs Yakov Andropov, and he would like some Ludfisk and potatoes.

Although the Slavic Union expresses little interest in acquiring more land, if it is the wishes of the government of Deutschland and the peoples residing on those lands to join our gracious Union, we will be amicable to considering it.

Rioting recently occurred in the Mogilev due to the widespread unemployment, however, civil action police were on the scene within minutes to quickly dispel the crowds and sent them home. A curfew of 8PM has also been instituted in the city and surrounding region. In addition, the newly unemployed workers have organized themselves behind a previously existent but insignificant labor union, Solidarnost.
Solidarnost's membership skyrocketed over the past few days, jumping from 23,000 to 130,000, consisting of mostly blue collar industrial workers.
Negotiations between the regional government of Mogilev Voblast and Solidarnost has begun. -
We find this treaty redundant. The Federal Union of Slavic Republics already holds significant treaties (MDoAPs and MDP) with its regional allies, including the GDR, Deutschland, and the Slavorussian Empire. On the other hand, relations with the Slavic Federation was tenuous at best, while we have no significant vested interested in relations with the relatively smaller states of Greece and Crimea. The FUtSR will not be signing this treaty.

"Due to the lack of any sort of opposition to the current regime the Slavic Union believes that affairs of its territorial integrity remain as is."

MINSK- The nation's capital seems to be in a hushed mood today as budget and economic data for the fiscal year 2009 was released by the Union Ministry of Finance, showing that the country was undoubtedly in one of the worst economic recessions in its history. For the first time in the history of the Slavic Union, GDP declined sharply, by -3.5%. Adjusting for inflation, which rose by 2.25% since 2008, the GDP of the nation fell in real value by -5.75%. Although the national government has yet to comment or act on this matter, current expectations are that the Union Duma will release an economic stimulus package of some sort to attempt to resolve the current malady.
This economic downturn, which has been lurking and growing since 2008, has resulted in many lost jobs. Unemployment throughout the nation is officially now at 13.5%, after state-owned corporation Belorussia Avto-GAZ was forced to shut down immediately due to foreign debts. The failure of Belorussia Avto-GAZ itself resulted in over 41,000 lost jobs, centering in the industrial city of Mogilev/Mohilyow.

"Ternopil is an important cultural center of Western Ukraine, and thus the Slavic Union. The ethnic Ukrainian population, totaling 23%, which has fought blood in blood alongside our Belorussians (45%) and Russians (26%), does not wish to relinquish such an important part of the Slavic Ethnic Heritage to another nation."

Representative Vladimir Vyalsov will attend.

The Slavic Union confirms Khislav's sovereignty. We also welcome them into the world, and appreciate the nice Aeroflot-ish flag that looks very nice.

The Federal Union of Slavic Republics supports the RSSN on this matter, and also condemns this secessionist entity as its abbreviation is insulting similar to our own.

The FUtSR abstains.

The Federal Union wishes for the PEPTO community to consider a FUtSR re-annexation of said land. It is simply because the FUtSR has significant defense interests in the form of secret military bunkers as well as economic interests in Pripyat and Kiev. -
Caucasia should also add that we cease to recognize the Caucasian Crimea act for Belarus and Northern Ukraine, as that was a term of the previous agreement.
