  1. Here's wishing you a very good 3rd Birthday! /me offers drinks and cake for all
  2. I'm going to concur with my comrade and wish GGA all the best in sorting things out. As for the thread topic, its good to see the VE showing the class I know them so well for, in taking care of those who are vulnerable.
  3. I'd have to say the removal of the underdog bonus.
  4. Hey, it takes more than fancy words and an accent to persuade me.
  5. Speak for yourself. Do not presume that you speak for me, I am more than capable of representing myself.
  6. How was my comment construed as an insult to the STA or you? I made no indication in my first post that I considered it to relate to you or the STA. And shock among horror, I actually do have respect for Tyga. He has shown that he would stand by his alliance and wait for every man and woman to get out safe, rather than leave someone behind. I assumed that you would relate to that way of thinking. And how is it not a real war? So only wars that involve big nations and nukes is now the only real wars? No, I did not refer to the nukes comment. And yes, I'm just a soldier, inside jokes are for those with more medals than I. See my above comment. Yes, I am well aware that Tyga has shown extraordinary honour and bravery, and he has managed to instill such virtues in the alliance he created. I think you are misunderstanding me if you think I wish to insult you or smear your character. If you are seeing insults where none were intended, I can't convince you otherwise. I in no way attempted to insult you, but more to comment on how I percieved actions and attitudes. As for my leaders spending time in private areas. Do you think it reasonable to ask your leaders to have no private life? To have no time where they can just chill out? In the past I have been in multiple private channels, as I'm sure you have. Getting to know everyone in an alliance the size of ours is a lot of work, I think it is allowed to want some time for yourself. If I expected them to not take that time, then I would be the hypocrite you are suggesting I am. Since I would then be expecting more of them than I would be prepared to give as an oridinary soldier. As for my opinion on Doitzels actions, as you've already said that people can speak for themselves, I expect you to wait for him to respond to my comments. I doubt he needs you to defend him. Yes, I am offended that you think the struggles of my younger comrades are worth less than those of our older comrades. As to me trying to bury you? I think not. I do not know you, nor do I wish to know you. You are not one of my comrades so your personal opinion of my actions matters not. No offense intended, I am sure you are a good person deep down. As for falsehoods? I just say how I see things personally. You are welcome.
  7. Asking how someone is doing or how something is going is a normal way to show concern. With that said, I now understand from this statement that it was not such. And it was as I presumed, an attempt to malign our current engagement. If our stance had changed, those that it would concern would know about it. And the point was obviously aimed to be taken the way I understood it, since you obviously find it acceptable to take shots at one of my comrades. By quoting my statements and showing hostility towards myself and my opinions, aren't you also defining my words in the manner you wish? I merely made a statement about why I consider leaving during a conflict to be a bad thing. I may have used your quote as an example, but my statements weren't just for you alone. If I wished to communicate with you only, I would have made my points in private. As I did not, then obviously they were not aimed at you alone. Quoting something you consider amusing in your sig counts as arrogance now? If something amusing was said in other channels or posts, then I'm sure that would be just as equally quoted. It's called personal taste. As for arrogance amongst my comrades. I think you are mistaking arrogance for confidence. Having pride in your abilities and hard work is nothing to be ashamed of. If you have worked hard you should be able to take pride in it. I think your personal envy of your comrades achievements is quite sad. Justly earned confidence is not akin to arrogance. Not to mention acting arrogant because you percieve others to be such is the same as cheering on a lynch mob. Just because others act a certain way, it does not mean that you should follow. If you are so easily influenced to do what is wrong, just because you want to be popular or to belong is kind of shallow. To do what is right shows more courage than to do what everyone else does. It takes a brave person to stand alone. Oh, its more than a line, its something I have faith in. I wont pretend to know how others feel, but that is certainly how I see it.
  8. That does not remove anything from his character. If someone is worth respecting, they don't need any title to gain that respect. I have a great deal of admiration for some people in Planet Bob that have never been in an alliances government. Charisma and wisdom will always outshine any sort of title or popularity. Thats the difference between those that have some authority and feel the need to rub it in your face, and those that command respect even without a bunch of medals and acolades. Respect is something you earn, with thoughts and deeds. Anyone can steer an angry mob, it takes skill and charisma to be able to gain the respect of even your enemies. My response was to someone lording their past deeds and fame over me, to try and put me in what they consider my place. I'm a nobody, just a soldier. I know where I stand in the rank and file of Planet Bob, I don't need to put on any airs and make others feel small for having an opinion.
  9. I'm sorry, someone already beat you to it. http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=51498
  10. I would not for a moment consider that I know your mind, or your motives. All I got from your reply was that out of two people that quoted that one line, it was I that you responded to. If your original comment truly was made because of innocent concern for our welfare, then why do you only object to one person misunderstanding your words? Surely you would rather clarify your point and avert more people misunderstanding your intentions and words. If it was not your intent to malign the current conflict, then what was the purpose of posting that statement? With your point on how upset you were with the treatment you recieved, I would think that adds weight to my personal interpretation of your words. But as you correctly pointed out, I do not know your thoughts. Edit: As Imperial Officers are also comrades Doitzel, they are important too. Every man and woman in the NPO is important, since Pacifica is greater than just one man or woman. From the Emperor to the Body Republic, each of us are part of the whole. One could not exist without the other. You would have known that, if you had come down from your lofty perch and sat with your comrades.
  11. Well your remark came off as condescending, my comments were not intended to be taken personally, or to come off as patronising. And what does it matter how many medals you have? That does not give you any authority over me. Not to mention that I don't judge people on fame or on what rank they used to have, I instead consider the contents of their character. Further more, so you were once in the alliance I call home. That does not make it so now, and it is the present tense that matters. Times change, people move on, and thoughts you considered important change when you are in a different enviroment. And the fact that you have reacted with such vehemence shows the intent behind that little quote.
  12. I've said this before and I'll say it again. All of our nations are important to us, even those that are small. To us that are not directly involved in conflict, this is about solidarity with our comrades. Just because others might consider their small nations to not be worth staying for, doesn't mean we stand by that principle. All of my comrades are important to me, regardless of size. So yeah, laugh at the fact that we consider everyone in our alliance important, that we don't leave people behind. I'm sure the small nations in your alliance appreciate the fact that if war came to them only, that you'd abandon them at the drop of a hat just because you don't consider their war to be your war.
  13. Congratulations NSO and best wishes for future growth! More Star Wars is always a good thing
  14. Well I arrived a few months or so before GWII and since I was in Illuminati I fought for the Initiative. For GWIII I was in a protectorate of VE's called CNC. I have to say, my best war outside of NPO was with the VE and CNC. Fun times.
  15. That is one freaky avy D:

  16. No, now it's just become almost impossible for any new nation to get up to nuke level. There will now always be a 4000ns gap. Good job, so much for trying to encourage new nations to join.
  17. Same here, and it's just my personal opinion but I have to say, I think this is the worst update ever. You might as well scrap the war memorial since you have effectively made soldiers worthless.

  19. Congratulations on being back, and I'm glad to see cybernations so green again :)
