  1. GLS National News Report:

With the recent surge of idiotic lawsuits, bizarre child abuse cases, and other W-T-H cases, the GLS Legislative came up with a major amendment to the current Great Lakes State Constitution and a federal law.

And its called, "The Bill of No Rights".

    1. You do not have the right to blame on somebody for something you did or something that was in your control in lawsuits and other criminal or civil cases. Just because you stuck your hand in a blender while it is on, that doesn't mean you can sue the blender company for something you did. However, product manufacturers are still required to label unknown risks on their products, if there are any.

    2. You do not have the right to sue an excessive amount. For example, if a person dents your $40,000 car while biking and causes a $50 damage, you can not sue one million dollars.

    3. You have the right to help the police catch suspects, but you do not have the right to beat them to pulp. Innocent until proven guilty.

    4. You have the right to raise children, but you may not convert them into cash cows or something you can torture for fun.

    5. You do not have the right to sue someone for their action when you were the one who indirectly caused it. For example, if you were leave a banana peel on the sidewalk and a skater slips on it and crushes your dog, you do not have the right to sue that person because you were the one who left the cause of the accident on the sidewalk, the banana peel.

This amendment will take effect the moment it is approved by the Legislative and the general population.

    Child Abuse Prevention Act:

All 12th grade high school students are required to take a parenting class. If a mother is pregnant after one year of taking the high school parenting class, she will be required to take a review parenting class. If she has a husband, he will also be required to take a parenting class. Review parenting classes' schedules are flexible, but must be taken about 20 days before the mother gives birth.

This federal law will take effect the moment it becomes a law.

    ---------------------------------------

The federal law is pending to be approved, or vetoed by President Jake. The amendment's approval voting day will start on August 20th, 2009.

OOC: I got bored, so I decided to try to RP something interesting.

  2. Two of the guards exchanged an unreadable glance. Finally, one raised his eyebrow. The other shrugged, and leaned in close behind the prisoner who had called out, and whispered menacingly in his ear. "What gave you any idea this is a McDonalds?"

The police captain spoke, "He is addicted to their happy meals, that is the only thing I will say."

The second officer woke up, and screamed, "GIVE ME MY (insert cuss word) HAM SANDWICH! NOW!!"

Police captain: "Him over there, he is addicted to ham sandwiches."

OOC: You know in the first Lighting Thieves thread, the guy who wanted ham sandwiches more than getting away from the police? Yep, its him, the second police officer. :awesome:

  3. OOC: Those rules are outdated. LVN is using a 1000x modifier and I have been using a 800x or 900x modifier for ages.

Several other people don't use modifiers at all.

    OOC:

*Your in-game (your actual CyberNations nation) citizen count will be multiplied by one hundred (100), and the subsequent number can be your CNRP (CyberNations Roleplaying) citizen count. As long as it isn't !@#$% insane, you can go with other numbers.

So can I RP 10,000x of my IG nation's population?

  4. OOC: I use Aircraft as well, with refuelling on each of the islands. Plus, the map is inaccurate a little. The territory marked red is open to all those who are not well, aggressive to us, with the exception of the already mentioned parties, plus a 100km radius around each island must have Lübeckian permission to go near.

I do not believe it should affect anyone, except for those who have wronged against Lübeck severely.

OOC: What about the water between the Antarctica and South America?

  5. Although most of our trading does not cross through the Southern Atlantic, we do object to your gigantic off-limit water zone. It blocks many of the trade routes and damages international trading by forcing ships to take detours.

In fact, is your naval fleet is even large enough to patrol such huge area?

  6. OOC: NOT true. You can build good, basic land-based defenses (such as wire fences, fighting holes, berms) VERY quickly given enough men and motivation, of which he posesses both in spades. Good infantry based defenses are not time consuming when lives are on the line.

OOC: I was thinking he used concrete and building defenses that can handle heavy artillery/tank fires and bombings.

  7. I don't want CN odds deciding the results. I refuse to recognise a single dice roll deciding the fate of my intel.

I'd compromise if there was a dice roll at say, every significant barrier.

    1. Entering the country

-Roll to see if false passport tricks guard with the CN odds

    -RP result with player

    2. Getting onto government/military property

-Roll to see if you sneak past defenses/trick guards with CN odds

    -RP result with player

    3. Getting into building

-Roll to see if you manage to get in.

    -RP how with player

    4. Getting intel

    -Roll again

    -RP again

    5. Getting out

    -Roll again

    -RP again

a 5 step dice system. The smaller countries still have a chance but your CN odds are still used.

I support that. It would certainly benefit the smaller nations and make the spying less painful and more enjoyable.

  8. The declaration of war came as a shock of all within he high command but they did not hesitate. The battle was on. The Reich boasted a defensive force of nearly 900,000. Binded by the constitution these men could not be sent into foreign nations, but there was other means of doing that. 400,00 along with 2,000 tanks where already on the border building a fence when Rebel Army troops where spotted they quickly mobilized a defence behind the fortifications they had already finished. Meanwhile aircraft squadrons where mobilized and began bombarding the invading forces.

    MESSEGE TO REBEL ARMY

We offer peace, but will fight to the last man in the case of survival.

OOC: You don't have that much soldiers, considering that you have 900,000 troops. Remember, your CNRP troops are 10x of your IG nation's soldiers. In fact, you have not RPed the defense building earlier, meaning that your defenses are null or they are flimsy. Its impossible to build decent defenses within a hour or two.

  9. Generalissimo couldn’t recall actually ever meeting Mikhail, but Generalissimo never actually met most of the current generation of leaders face to face, the inevitable result of conducting most of Procinctia’s business on open international diplomatic frequencies. Even while attending large international events Generalissimo conversed with very few people, even in a crowd he was always alone. How could Mikhail consider them friends?

Punching in the Marscurian Pakistan frequency into his transmitter replied, “Therapy, who needs therapy? Definitely not this Generalissimo, anything you or anyone else may have heard to the contrary is lies told by lying liars. I’m solid as a stable molecular structure, or Lady Sarah’s marriage.”

    OOC: The irony... :lol1:

  10. In the research lab:

    "Any results?"

"Yep, we finally made the explosive insect repellent stable. Now lets test it on the insects."

Lab worker presses the start button, and a machine begin to spray the repellent on a chunk of meat and lets out a swarm of flies in the giant glass box.

    "Lets see what happens..."

Files lights up on fire when they touch the sprayed meat chunk, and the meat chunk explodes into a fire ball.

    "Get the fire extinguisher, now!"

    -----

In another lab room, the anti-air craft chemical:

"Alright, spray it on that aluminum sheet."

Lab worker sprays it on the aluminum sheet, and the chemical instantly burns it charcoal black. A few seconds later, the aluminum sheet falls apart in pieces.

    "Back to step one!"

  11. OOC: Excellent. Thanks! :D

IC: Indeed, it was what it sounded like--they would find a couple of men playing with fireworks. However, that was not all that was there. From the shadows emerged three agents, and the two who ewere playing with the fireworks turned, making one for each police officer.

Each agent raised their arms, revealing loaded dart guns. They fired as soon as the police could see what they were...

Four of them slumped to the ground, snoring. The last one tried to reach for his gun but fell onto the ground, semi-asleep...

  12. "Thank you."

So the local military and police were in the Organization's pockets. Likely not everyone, as their more-talkative-than-he-realized friend, but if he made such a claim, then likely a majority of them were. Perhaps another kidnapping or two would be in order.

OOC: To help, you can RP the disappearance of a couple different members of the police or military, if you like, and I'll RP the agents as the kidnappers--and it would be :awesome: if one of the captives were inncent and the other guilty...

    OOC: Sure.

    -----------------

    In the central police station:

"Sir five of our police officers as missing, including the captain."

"(insert cuss word), and I thought those non-TUO authorities stopped annoying us."

"Our members in the GLSIA said the agency isn't noticing any TUO activities, nor has it captured anyone yet."

    "Who is after us then?..."

    -----------------------------------

    A few hours ago:

    "Do you hear that noise?"

"Sounds like someone is screwing with fireworks past curfew time."

    "Lets check it out."

Four police officers and the captain enters an alley to checkout the source of the noise.
