  1. Tremendous gains by Polar and MK. Congrats! As for us, well... the tortoise won... slow and steady..
  2. 852 nukes. They're allowed to keep 30 But yes, there are tons of other things that need to be decommed, as well as the huge amount of reps to be paid. It could get interesting. IIRC, NPO is one of two alliances to have always been sanctioned once 'sanctioned alliances' became part of the game.
  3. Great to see this finally come into being. Personally, I love my caek warm and fresh from the oven, but I suppose I'll have to deal with the frozen kind for now.
  4. 1. Okay, so somehow saying "I do not solely blame Legion" (IE, stating my opinion) is somehow synonymous with being afraid to state my opinion and really means that I am throwing all the blame on Legion. Really, do tell me how that works. 2. Legion getting crushed from the top spot? You mean, GWIII? That big war that ODN fought in and got pummeled? Or, seeing as we like to take the exact opposite of what I say, I suppose that getting pummeled alongside them must mean standing on the sidelines. 3. I don't feel the need to go over purplegate. You feel one way, and I feel another about 'bailing on Legion'. There is no point in arguing over it, as neither one of us is going to change our minds about that. Secondly, I am oh so sorry about bailing on GOONS. You know, after demanding we kick out our founder under accusations of having another role here on the BBs and hacking our offsite forums, I just can't see any reason why ODN declared war on GOONS. It just doesn't make any kind of sense. I must be crazy. Also, I'm not entirely sure how we bailed on NPO. The last time ODN and NPO had any sort of almost relations was when Dilber was Emperor and there was discussion of signing an NAP. It never went through, and ODN and NPO have a long history together. We have never been friends, and sometimes we have not even held cordial relations. How can we bail on an alliance that we have been openly hostile with since the founding of our alliance? I'm not sure how that really went down either. As for where it got Legion, they currently have plenty of other treaties. I don't think you mean that since ORRPLE is gone, Legion is about to go under. They still have treaties, they still have Purple Unity, and they are working on climbing back into sanction capability. (IIRC, they are in 14th?) ORRPLE got them a fun and exciting time while it lasted, but now its time to move on. Relations have been dwindling as a result of BOTH parties. (Did I make that clear enough for you, or by both do I still mean its Legion's fault?) ORRPLE has been dead for a while, and its time to move on. They have a path to walk down, and so do we. If Legion is anything like Legion (oh wait, they are) they are a strong alliance that can get through this, and move on. That's exactly 'where it got them'.
  5. Did you even read my post, or are you just here to bash us? You even quoted the exact part that complete refutes your ending remark, and yet you still feel it necessary to post such rubbish. I doubt that ORRPLE is seen as a blunder for their foreign affairs, nor do I see signing ORRPLE having any effect on how purplegate came around. You can doubt us all you wish, I don't care. But please don't make yourself out to be some sort of expert on the situation.
  6. I do not blame you, or even Legion as a whole. ODN has its fair share of blame for the loss of relations, and I do not believe I have said anything to the contrary. I did say that the current government of Legion is not on an ORRPLE first policy if that is where you got that impression, but clearly ODN is not on that policy either. If I have said something elsewhere, I apologize and it was not my intention to do so. I understand that we tried, and perhaps you tried more than most. The end result remains the same, failure. ODN and Legion cannot exist as the same entity that they once have. We have drifted. I have tried more than most of my current government to try and keep some sort of attachment between the two alliances, but I was met with rebuttal on both sides and had to make compromise after compromise and eventually it was all refused in the end. A relationship is not supposed to exist only due to a compromise. Clearly something between us has changed, and it is not only the new government, style, and decisions of Legion that has. ODN has chosen her own separate path, and we cannot continue to fake it any longer: ODN and Legion are not what they once were. We can no longer keep our treaty that has become a ghost of its former golden self. I still have hope for ODN and Legion in the future, and I do not wish to see the bridge burnt between us. We have gone our separate ways, but nothing would make me happier than to see ODN and Legion reconcile and regain the former glory. I respect the history we have, and I, more so than any current government member, have the hope that ORRPLE shall rise again. Right now, ODN and Legion must part. However, please don't think of me blaming Legion or being the one to put the final nail in the coffin of ORRPLE. This is the exact opposite of what I hope to do, and I apologize if I have given you the wrong impression of my motives.
  7. From recent talks, the current government of Legion appears to not be on this policy. Over the past year, I've watched ORRPLE fall apart. Maybe you tried to keep ORRPLE as #1. I do not know. I tried to keep ORRPLE as something as well. We failed. Under current circumstances, we can no longer keep ORRPLE active. ORRPLE has not been above all, so whether or not it was your policy is irrelevant. You can say what you want, but it is clear that the relationship has not been the same for a very long time.
  8. The cheese dragon will choose his own destiny. AND I CHOOSE YOU, BULBASAUR!
  9. I'm aware. I said a 'little more than four months ago' in jest.
  10. I wasn't being super serious in my response either; I don't actually read bottom to top I read his post. I honestly laughed at it. The previous government as well as the current government has been open with our General Membership, as that is where all power lies in our alliance. Without their support, I cannot do anything. His entire first paragraph was a complete lie in itself, which amused me because he accused myself of committing the same crime. Unless of course, he knows more about the recent internal workings of my alliance than I do. I doubt it though. His second paragraph is simply not true either. ORRPLE has been weakening since purplegate. There are multiple reasons for such a thing, but I really do not feel the need to go into them. Purplegate was a little more than four months ago. ORRPLE was not one of the strongest relationships on CN at this point in time, and perhaps was in its weakest state yet. As for IRON, yes our relationship was rather strong. However, while there were ties between the membership, the majority of our relationship was between our two governments. I know this, because I flitted between being a government member and just a general member. I admit, I did have a lot of fun posting in your embassy, and many of the members were kind to me there. IIRC, most of them were government or ex-government that I met during my stints in government though. At one point, Legion and ODN's membership were entwined. IRON and ODN's relation were not even close to such a state, and it is a slap in the face to suggest it. IRON would not even participate in a member exchange, but we welcomed you onto our forums in a one-way regardless. I also laughed at the mentioning of IRON and Legion coming to ODN's defense should NPO have attacked. I think from our discussion with Legion's government as well as the past and current actions from the Government of IRON, we can just say "Liez!!!11!!1!" and move on from there. We have found friendship in others, and in my opinion, better friendship than what we had in IRON. Legion and ORRPLE in its prime was a unique relationship that we current do not have, but ever since purplegate, we did not really have such a relationship with Legion either. To end it all, I too am incredibly saddened by the way things worked out. I proposed a few different things to attempt to have some sort of bond to Legion, no matter how small, but all were rejected in some form. I did everything I could to make this work out in some other way, but it simply did not. I still hold great love for ORRPLE, and I will echo someone else in saying that the true spirit of ORRPLE will never die. Those who remember the way ORRPLE was in its prime will not forget it. Some of us are still in ODN and Legion. Some of us have passed on into the void of deletion. Some of us are in other alliances such as Valhalla, OBR, and maybe even NPO or others. Each individual has their own unique memories of the tightest bond the Cyberverse has ever seen, and each individual will not lose those memories. ORRPLE on paper is gone, but the spirit of ORRPLE, of friendship, will carry on in each one of us.
  11. Walker - It is very difficult for me to blame the previous administration, or previous senate, or previous whatever. You see, I am the previous government. Heft - It has been a while since I last agreed with you, but I must say I do on this point. ODN joining frostbite will probably never happen (I only say probably to avoid absolutes). You fellows don't like us that much, and in some cases the feeling may be reciprocated. Individually (both alliances and specific members) there are some awesome things over there, but I really don't see us 'fitting in' to that particular bloc. OverCaffeinated - Seeing as you were the one to mention something as utterly ridiculous as ODN joining frostbite, I am going to simply ignore the rest of your post (Yes, I do read bottom to top ) under the assumption that the rest of it is also utterly ridiculous
  12. Akasha enjoys taking words right out of my mouth. I am one of those who were around when ORRPLE was great. This thread simply saddens me. I am going to forget this thread and all of the bickering, and instead focus on the memories I have from the glory days of ORRPLE. o/ ORRPLE. Rest well.
  13. Ever since the fateful day when ODN and Legion first worked together in GWI, I have always kept a special part of my heart just for them. However, tonight marks the end of the ORRPLE era. I have loved Legion since the beginning, and my love for them is no less now. It saddens me that we have drifted apart, and I will always fondly remember our relationship that was once the strongest bond between two alliances in all of the Cyberverse. To keep things short, I wish the Legion luck in all that they do. I wish to tell them that even though our treaty may be gone, friendships were never written on paper. The Land of Jesus will always be a friend to the Legion, whether they accept my hand or not. I will always wish and hope that one day this friendship can be remedied and renewed. But for now: Farewell dearest ORRPLE. May you rest well. Ave Legio! - Twizzler
  14. Nothing against VE, but I seriously doubt that ODN would have disbanded if IRON had not "saved us from the ebils". Being at war =/= disbandment. Also, puppet master, you owe me tech. After that, you can go back to your mindless ODN trolling.
  15. Some people have a reason. Others like to talk big or make things up. Then, we all laugh at them.
  16. As for GATO, he must mean the treaty we just signed. Because... that's just backwards enough to work. Unless of course he means the age old MDP that we used to have... um... yeah. That one doesn't apply either. I remember exactly what happened with that one (I forget if I was part of the Senate that cut it) and I'm confused as to how that works out. Then again, theAUT said it, so I guess it must be truth. Also, ODN is now exiting Potato's sphere of influence. Therefore, o7 ODN
  17. I was in Senate 8. I win. Also, that picture is not quite accurate. I am much too young. And I still consider Franklin and Joracy as the new wave of members....
  18. I'm not looking to run again next time
  19. )): Neutrals )): ODN, grow more please.
  20. I suppose you can be invited to the party too.
  21. No nomination I'm afraid...
  22. For whenever Soccerbum sees this: Its XXX, I had to. EDIT: ES - We appreciate your cooperation and the permission you have given us to run the alliance. o/ Viceroy Sponge
  23. Congrats! As for three years for a PIAT... does anyone remember the age old GATO-ODN MDP? Or is that just me? o/ Renewing old friendships
  24. Poor MHA. Would have been so much better if your gain was .42
  25. So you made it, and became #1. Can we have you back now? Congrats Strahd, and the rest of TOP!
