  1. The level of illiteracy in this thread is appalling. One should do more than glance at the original post before saying anything in a thirteen-page thread. That said, I second the recommendation of an apology to the NAAC community. It'll do well to put an end to this silliness, at least for most, and it's unlikely you'll be relieved of AirMe's threat, whatever it entails, without doing at least that. To anyone else who would consider posting in this thread, I can't stress enough how important it is to read Chozo's post, if nothing else. If you're too impatient even for that, then your input is unnecessary. Also, a lock would be nice. I think this thread has run its course.
  2. Call it a slap, then. Or just an insult, better still. It doesn't make the charade any more or less amusing to me, to be honest. Oops.
  3. You are mistaken. The NAAC remains alive to this day by the people who created and upheld its legacy. I know several people who keep it alive by their respect for this legacy, many of whom never even knew the alliance firsthand. You are not one of these people. I would ask you not to make cheap amusement for yourself out of a culture I contributed to and hold dear, but the simple fact of the matter is that you don’t give a damn about the culture. You read enough about the NAAC to realize exploiting its arctic gimmick was the simplest way to draw something of a connection beyond the use of its name, but authenticity is ultimately only important for its added weight to the kick between AirMe’s legs. It’d be just dandy if no one used the NAAC’s name as a showpiece, but I still find myself sympathizing more with the former member drawing a comparison than the ignorant man parading around with something he’s never had any connection to for the sake of a personal attack. Granted, a thread entitled “To AirMe, Regarding Your Commentary on the Reformation of \m/” containing the text “I disagree” or even a well-constructed rebuttal wouldn’t have caused as much controversy, but it would have been much more straightforward.
  4. Good stuff. I'm finally free of that damned office.
  5. Last night, the polls across Greenland came to a close and there was great anticipation as her citizens waited for the votes to be tallied. Eventually, it was confirmed that Al and his running mate Shamedmonkey won their second term as Archon and Vice Archon of the Greenland Republic. With the exception of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all departments of the Republic saw the election of new leaders this month and there is much enthusiasm for the potential of this fresh lineup. Also new to government this month is Paulpig, who recently joined the Republic with the rest of Avalanche; after Kestral took over the Ministry of Defense, he filled her place in the Senate. Of course, the most exciting news is always the Minister of Trains election. This month brought us quite the upset, possibly related to the numerous reports of faulty ballots. The lack of votes in this particular category may lend credence to these reports, but all requests for a recount have been denied. It is with great pleasure that I appoint Doitzel as the Greenland Republic's new Minister of Trains for the months of August and September, 2009. In other news, Electron Sponge retains his position as Admiral of the Iceberg Floatilla as no candidates were allowed to challenge him. August 2009 Greenland Republic Government Archon: Al Vice-Archon: Shamedmonkey Minister of Foreign Affairs: Ilselu1 Minister of Defence: Kestral Minister of Finance: Tantare Federation Minister of Interior: Mercuri Minister of Trains: Doitzel Senate: Wurzel, Gn0x, Cripple, Jenker, and Paulpig Admiral of the Iceberg Floatilla: Electron Sponge Cheers, Greenland.
  6. I fear you've miscounted there, old friend. In any case, the journey to the next round is the fun part—even if it does mean I'll have to get my head comfortable between a boot and the mud somewhere along the way once more. Well, cheers to the present.
  7. That or they tricked us somehow. To be honest, I don't remember signing this; I just woke up at my desk one day with ink on my fingers and orange juice on my breath.
  8. 9. It's about time, too. Cheers to friendship. Section IV is my favorite portion of the treaty.
  10. May our friendship continue to grow. Cheers.
  11. Thus the recent addition to my signature. I had hoped it would clear up some of this confusion.
