1. Hey Drai, wanna found an alliance?

In all seriousness, what you're basically doing with this is taking a very good alliance's government and adding a few other members who in all honesty are ex government types.

There would be a lot of conflicting opinions as everyone's prior experience and dealings would be very different. This wouldn't be a problem though if in the end everyone would go with whatever the top leader(s) would want, though I'd assume an alliance like this would have to be democratic.

The real problem, and RV touched on this, would that there would be no "sheep". Sheep make up a lot of NS for the alliance and in the end the more NS you have the more influence you have in the world. No one is going to listen to some small 20 man alliance when making decisions wrt war or coalition structure, because even if your nations are huge (lets say 125K NS), between you you're still only 2.5M NS. You're not exactly a game changer.

And then there is real life. What do you do when someone's grandad dies and they have to take two weeks off? Boot him for being inactive? Stuff happens. That example was a bit extreme but its the classic, "well he used to be active but then he something about school/job/etc" and that poses a huge problem for me within Umbrella, and I can only imagine it'd be even more of a problem for an activity utopia.

Just curious ... why would you ask this question? Your question pre-supposes that each of the treaties held by the various alliances involved do not have a friendship (or at the very least, desire to work together for protection/information, etc) behind them. It's like asking, "If you had to stop being friends with three of your friends, who would it be?" Why would they even ponder that, let alone answer your question, if they don't have to cancel treaties (which they don't)?

Wouldn't your obsessive moralism be more suited to being in a bloc with polaris and not SF?

  3. What is your opinion on each member of XX?

If you could remove one member from XX, which would it be, why?

You have to create a bloc of currently unaligned alliances. Who do you choose and why?

What do you think of XX's war performance last war?

You have to cancel all of SF's OTPs (Outside Treaty Partners) save one per alliance, which treaty do you pick for each alliance, why?

Would you like SF to get closer to polaris?

  4. To Xiph, one of your main criticisms is the way you treat alliances, often allies of allies, and then expect them to just fall into line when it comes to war, putting their nations on the line for you just because they are allied to one of your allies. What would you say to this?
Not pushed the UPN issue and entered on the NPO front. The former wasn't warranted considering the work UPN has done since that war to actually not be a terrible alliance, and the latter made it drag on longer than necessary. Besides that, no.
You wouldn't have tried to avoid the RoK fiasco (including both RoK and RIA) by keeping the original polaris declaration SF based, as originally planned? Or abiding by actual coalition plans instead of just attacking whoever you wanted?

    To all:

Who would you regard as the main concern to the SF defense department is?

In hindsight, would you have done anything differently with the RnR-UINE war (the one before the one where VE declared on polaris) or the NEW war?

Who do you think SF's top three most important OTPs are? Why?

Do you view SF and XX as a single entity? One that can not be broken up (in the next war, not forever) regardless of where the war starts?

What alliance or treaty will come into play most for SF next war?

Guess you could include RoK in the NoR/DT/Val/Asg side of this discussion as well.

You could, but it'd change absolutely nothing!
