Yes, we have issues with GOONS over past events, but we would not go to war now over them.
Mainly because we had a nice little treaty bounding our alliances at the time. And we respected that ...

1. GOONS made any possible effort to make those of us ODNers who wanted close relations with them to looking like fools by
a) Threatening to attack a member of the ODN and those who come to her defence, all that while we had an MDP without leaving any space for real discussion of the matter.
B) Backing a person who hacked our forums.
c) Abusing us in the forums and other places.
2. For some time, GOONS were the leaders of a group of alliances that abused their power. They attacked nations for daring to question their policies in the CN forums, they supported and took part themselves in attacks without any real casus belli, they intimidated the rest of the cyberverse. These bullies had to be stopped at some point. This point is now. The peak was in trying to intimidate the game adminstration team to submission. Thank God admin stopped them there.
3. The turned most of the cyberverse against them by these policies. It's pay day.
GOONS members are cool, including those in leadership. Actually, I cannot recall any GOONS member I really know that I don't like (I know that some ODNers won't agree to that, but I speak for myself here). I naturally hope that GOONS are defeated soon, but on a personal level, I wish them good luck.
My thoughts exactly, as I've stated yesterday to BenPG on our IRC.

And you've abandoned your allies every time, thanks for the warning when you surrendered to GOONS, really ODN that showed you care about your allies, you fight whatever battles you think you'll win, once the tide turned you turn into cowards, your alliance has no room to speak about "honor", period.

Dulcinea, you have been a good friend of mine for a long long time. Again look at my previous post. Remeber this is the same treatment the Orders gave ODN for how long? How about the sarcastic filled apologies that the most revered Emporer of all time had made. Had Ivan overthrown NPO's leadership, the reign of tyranny would have returned as pre-goons era.
I'm a GOONS fan. Probably one of the last in the ODN. But at least we knew where to stand wiht the Orders. They didn't like us and we didn't like them. (Note the use of the past tense here).
A lot of us still can't forget how our then allies came to us to ask for a member that they believed deserved ZI.
And, lastly, a few days ago, a member of GOONS hacked our forum.
That, to many of us, was backstabbing.
