  1. I can't imagine why OcUK gov would be surprised when, after putting themselves into a position ripe for raiding with their own inactivity, the are, god forbid, raided?

You're being completely unreasonable with not asking for anything other than white peace, but oh well. You have the right to make bad decisions.

  2. I'm like 90% sure that you just agreed with him complemented his point, Bob. :v

There's no implication anywhere within his post that the TOP-Polar treaty is anything other then a realpolitik move, and his use of the treaty as a "no u" provides a vibe of disdain.

But no, I'm not trying to counter his point. I understand that alliances with past issues can bury their proverbial hatchet and develop a treaty relationship, and it's good to see GATO and NG doing exactly. We could use fewer older grudges around here.

  3. Another thing, you were allied to TOP when you joined Polar, remember how people responded when that happened? You really have no room to maneuver in this type of discussion.

I will admit that the initial overtures for the TOP-Polar treaty were strategic in nature (Polar was facing an aggressive coalition of alliances bent on destroying them, and we needed to diversify our treaty setup and move out of the FA corner we were in), but it ultimately would not have happened had both sides not discovered that, yes, we do have like-minded characteristics and values. We discovered a lot about one another that just cemented our mutual desire to make things happen.

People act like TOP only signs treaties for their outward impact, but if that was the case, we'd have 30 MD-level ties pulling us all over the web. We work to sign treaties with people that have similar ideas and values to our own, and if they don't, then it doesn't work out. The only difference between ourselves and yourselves in this regard is that our ideas and values themselves may be different.

  4. This is unfortunate... we had a lot of good times riding with our friends and allies in that bloc. While current affairs have had us occasionally opposed, it was a grouping that I respected and always needed to be considered in international affairs. I wish nothing but the best of luck to the former Duckroll signatories in their new paths.

  5.

Yeah, it looks like most of LSF and SWF aren't even honoring our most important treaty because they're scared of losing a few pixels. Chicken!@#$s. In this kind of a lopsided struggle, it's not about joining in because you think you have a possibility of winning, it's about showing some solidarity with your allies. Apparently my comrades do not agree - I'm literally the only SWF nation who has hit FAN so far. gg FAN, thanks for exposing the sorry state of Die Linke so we can actually address this !@#$ and improve ourselves.

You might want to bring your dirty laundry back inside before the wind blows it away.

Good luck FAN, I suppose. Anything to keep you guys alive and active is good enough in my book.

  6. 5 years huh?

Thanks for the reminder that I'm old as !@#$

    Congrats

    Yeah, really this.

Congrats, NSO. I've gone from being your enemy to your ally to your opponent in those years, but somewhere along the line I picked up a fair few friendships in your ranks. You're good people though you sometimes try not to be, and, regardless of how others feel about your alliance, I think we can all agree that this world would be a less entertaining place without you.

So here's to five more years, or hopefully less if this all goes away sooner.

  7. Mind sharing your sources and the raw data you used to make this?

I think the point when it becomes obvious that a graph is being skewed in order to make a point is when the creator doesn't even bother to include comparative vertical and horizontal scales.

So yeah, take whatever you read here with a grain of salt. Or 20, I pulled a Tywin and left my measure at home.
