Ok, so the only explaination for the above sequence is IRON is being political? Come on. Umbrella was dropped because even an ODP needs to have some level of communication kept up. It was not there. TOP was dropped after trying to pressure IRON to get the rest of DR to declare during the Dave War, putting TOP and DH stats above the relationship with IRON. We in Duckroll knew that DH would be coming for us next at the conclusion of Dave, hence the questioning about whose side TOP was really on. We really did not want to start a slugging match with DH, but we were expecting the hits to come regardless. We've been saying the exact same thing for over a year. Or were we really supposed to think that the successor to Dave War would have been yet another beatdown on SF/XX? Our mantra has been to prepare, not incite. We prepared, and now it is convenient for you to pretend that our preparations were malicious political ploys. Excuse us for not just rolling over to die.

So you're saying that Valhalla was high on the hit list of DH, and therefore the alliance resulting from the merger of Valhalla with BAPS (also high on the DH hit list) and Olympus basically put Ai high on the hit list. Thanks for confirming what Umbrella, MK, and TOP have been trying to deny and spin all this time. Also, this talk of IRON making "politically transparent" moves interests me. Please tell me more. You cannot expect anyone to just take such a claim at face value without a concrete example. So tell me. As for the taunting, if you're really upset about all of us calling you old, repeatedly, we can try to stop. TRY. But if you think our jabs were a prelude to war, you should ask Pacifica how often they get taunts and threats from us, and what they are doing to prevent their immenent destruction. No, we were not hostile, we were expecting hostilities from DH; then DH delivered upon our expectations. See the whole bit I stated about DH aggro over the lack of DuckRoll goodness in the smackdown of SF/XX during Dave. We are not criticizing you for (trying to) get closer to IRON; we are criticizing you for thinking you could get IRON to abandon the rest of DR. The efforts of the rest of DR to extend diplomatic ovetures to CnG is a sincere attempt, seeing as lots of CnG has indirect ties to DR already through common allies. They are in an unfortunate position in this war, having many allies on both sides. And personally, I do not like seeing them burn for Umbrella. I think they have been used for a long time, and deserve better.

You act as if Umbrella is the only AA capable of rebuying lost infra and tech. Hate to break it to you, but most of that upper tier will be right back where they started, at the conclusion of the war.

Of course you had reason to be hostile to DR. In the Dave War, DH and TOP wanted us to be fighting SF/XX. We refused -- with the exception of IRON, who still thought the TOP treaty was salvagable. Turns out, it was not salvagable, and they joined in on an oA clause for nothing. The invective thrown our way got turned up to 11 once you heard the rumors of the BAPS/Oly/Val merger happening, when obviously, we should have been beating down SF/XX for you instead. So here we are, with DH and TOP continuing the spin machine. You've gone from claiming attempts at improved relations, to claiming you tried, but gosh darnit you still hated us. No wonder your "diplomacy" was hilariously transparent.

I was never part of the Continuum, or tied to it in any way. It was long gone before I landed in Olympus, and had been dead for three years by the time Ai formed. The only revisions of history I am seeing is coming from members of TOP. And from you, but then you were always fairly easy to dupe.

Oh really? I do not remember any of that. I [i]do[/i] remember lots of hostility coming from the Doomhouse camp during the Dave War, especially when it became clear DR was not going to get involved. And if relative silence following hostility is an attempt at "improved relations," then you're doing it wrong.

TOP, Umbrella, and MK nations have jumped around to dozens of alliances to hit Ai. If I actually bothered to count them up, I would not be surprised if it was more than 50 AAs. Therefore Ai has fought more alliances than all of you. :rolleyes: The epeen waving over number of alliances is ridiculous.

There is also this little nugget in the Umbrella embassy on Ai forums, one month before Puppets went rogue: Gee, I wonder why we thought Puppets was coordinating with Umbrella, when they told us they could do something like that to start a war. Add in the fact that Puppets was running gather intel operations on Ai nations throughout his rogue campaign, and fed all the info back to Umbrella and DH. Nope, not coordinating at all there.

I highly doubt your opinion of the war will be swayed, with any amount of evidence. I do not have logs of the alleged public IRC announcement. I would guess a place like #umbrella or #mushroom was the forum. If that's the case, it is no wonder that Umbrella nations filled slots before Ai nations did. Especially as we don't make a habit of continually refreshing to check for a change in warmode status of a rogue, and most of our members only visit #anarchyinc. The fact remains: Puppets left peace mode; his war slots were filled by Umbrella nations; [i]then[/i] he launched new attacks on Ai.

I'm assuming you are referring to me as "EQ guy." Please point out where I said [i]all[/i] get second chances. To get a second chance, it must first be sought for. Also, had Puppets instead tried to talk to Ai gov and atone for the rogue attacks, he would have a hearing (i.e. a shot at "second chance"). Instead he sought Umbrella nations to fill defensive slots before launching another attack. That was the meaning of my response.

It's a pretty established fact, really, no bias. Puppets went rogue on Ai, and managed to escape to peace mode after a blown stagger. Puppets then left peace mode, and immediately had three Umbrella nations take defensive slots. Puppets then declared three new wars on Ai. The diplomatic response from Umbrella amounted to, "Do something about it." Then we did something about it. I have not seen anyone seriously dispute this order of events. Continuing to feign ignorance about this just shows you need to go back to your cave.

Umm. Puppets did get a second chance. He used it to have Umbrella fill his war slots, before going rogue on Ai again. That's what started this war. Have you been paying attention at all, or are you just vomitting whatever MK tells you to say?

I could go over the entire Olympus philosophy of second chances, but if you have not internalized that after dealing with Olympus back then, I doubt you would care. As for your non-question, the answer would be no.
