  1. While that is the reason Polar initially declared on NSO, I'm not sold on the idea that they needed. What could have you all at Pacifica have done differently if Polar had declared on you first?

I'd have to scrape up an old treaty web but I'm sure if they did it that way, there was a reason for it, probably some backroom agreement from the elements that were friendly to us on that side to fully commit.

Compromise is made in all these types of wars, to say that a front CB means that CN is devoid of politics is to miss the actual point of 90% of political interaction in this game.
  2. I'm not sure how find the treaty web to affect CBs. Could you explain your reasoning?

Simple, there are a lot of good reasons to have started this war, but due to starting those wars in such a manner the treaty flow would not necessarily be as favorable to the winning side. Exactly the same reason as to the obscure start to Disorder.

  4. First Citrus war was raging when I joined the NPO, as a noob hit someone from another AA entirely (that said you had to rely on Nation Descriptions at the time), got chewed out by Ivan, Moo and Tyga.  Declared Peace and found myself at war with Pingu if remember correctly.

NAAC v2 came up soon and was a lot more fun.  Got put on St Heliers, who I have probably fought at least 10 or 12 times now, although he seems to have gone inactive of late.

  5. I never said my former alliance NPO is a bad alliance ever, regardless of poor decisions. My point is cheering about blowing up my other former alliance SNX is just silly when losing soft NS was something I had planned for when I was in command of milcom there.

SNX has lost 216,840.22 Tech since the war began and has some 457,000 of its Tech in Peace Mode, The NPO lost around that in Disorder which lasted 4 months.  I'd say we are doing Hard Damage.

  6. My comments are my own personal analysis and thus I cannot speak for Polar policy or periods of time I was not in NpO. However, based on my experiences as Hand of the King during Disorder I had no issues with TOP's peace mode reserves in the face of potential IRON and DBDC aggresssion. At the time we were focused on the neo-imperialist threat Farrin posed as commander and it was not yet apparent that DBDC was developing into a class enemy (they were just a nuisance during the war, whereas now they hold command).

For those not familiar with the history of Pacifican Imperialism heres an old Vox Populi video I made in 2008:

Project for Global Pacifican Era: http://youtu.be/mdNCeXxjzTQ

    TL;DR

When we do it, it is a defense against class warfare. When you do it, it is Neo-imperialist Aggression.
  7. "The New Pacific Order hereby declares war" doesn't look an awful lot like "simply a recognition of a preexisting fact." Word to the wise would be to pick one story and stick to it. I recommend the OP that has those proud signatures from your government attached, but I can see how the fact that it's contradictory to everything else your coalition is attempting to claim as true makes it the less than preferable choice, so the attempts to lawyer yourself out of this one is understandable.

Pacifica has not actively pursued any hostilities with TSC to date, from now on we shall. Various justifications aside, the purpose of this announcement is to clarify in exact terms the current status of NPO-TSC relations. It was kept short and simple to accomplish that purpose.
