The opposition coalition, which controls 31% of Parliament, comprised of The Common Sense Movement(CSM) and For The Sovereign Party(FTSP), attacked and pulled no punches about the ongoing conflict with 2 nations of the Imperial Assault Alliance.

Matthew winner: Question for Runa Fianna, once you were sworn-in, you declared War on 2 nations of the Imperial Assault Alliance, can you say they were threats to the nations of Omnitretus?
Runa Fianna: I was asked for Omnitretus' participation in this war, I went through Parliament for official orders, Parliament approved the war 166-74, something Mr.Bierko and yourself were against.
Matthew Winner: You didn't answer my questions, were they threats to our security?
Runa Fianna: In a dangerous world, its best to strike first at your enemy.
Matthew Winner: True, but we haven't been hit back by these 2 nations. I think we're looking like the bad guys in this situation. If they don't fight back in wars, it's not a war. It's a genocide and a purge. Ms.Fianna and Mr.Kariya, in essence you should face War Crimes for declaring war on 2 innocent nations.

Mikhail Bierko: It's become pretty clear President Runa Fianna has total control over this nation and your just a puppet Prime Minister under Pres. Fianna, if you had it your way, would we be in this conflict?
Daisuke Kariya: Honestly, you can't avoid a problem like a annoying roach for long, you know its there and you want to do something about it. We had to eradicate cockroaches who were a problem to both our alliances well-being and our own well-being.
Mikhail Bierko: It's impolite to refer to other nations as cockroaches. It's impolite and unprofessional, Mr. Kariya.

Matthew Winner: The death toll of this conflict for Omnitretus is 5,246 soldiers lost. Our economy is down almost 30%. We can't keep a stable government for our people. I urge President Fianna to enter surrender negotiations. Would you enter surrender negotiations with the nations you attacked with cause?
Daisuke Kariya: Absolutely not.

Matthew Winner: I don't have a question, but a statistic of interest. Recently the media has done a poll about the war, only 48% of the people approve of the war. 50% disapprove. It's not looking good for you and it will only get worse.

Mikhail Bierko: I'd like to make my final statement at this time, for I have to visit troops in the capital who are preparing to attack an innocent nation in a senseless war.

Riza Kayabuki yells profanties at Runa Fianna during debate, is escorted out and resigns Presidency, suspends campaign
Riza Kayabuki called to apoligize to Runa Fianna, her opponent in the May 1 presidential race. Fianna accepted her apology and announced, side-by-side, with Kayabuki -- that Riza Kayabuki, will resign and suspend her Presidential campaign immediately and will resign as President effective 1:00AM on April 28, 2008. During the debate, on national television, Kayabuki called fianna "psycho b****" and "little leftist skank", among other obscenities. After it got too out of hand, President Kayabuki was escorted out by the security. In her speech, Kayabuki said "I let this race degrade my humanity, I'm sorry for failing my party and my party," she said.
The May 1 Sovereign referendum will continue as planned. The early results of the Presidential race show Fianna with a 64-36 lead, a solid win nonetheless. Runa Fianna would like to thank her supporters and her opposition, "for now Omnitretus can put this behind us and move on for a better future."

Riza Kayabuki announces plan for sweeping social, economic and enviromental changes, reforms.
This afternoon, Riza Kayabuki (FTSP) announced her plans for social reforms in the country. Her plan includes legalizing gay marriage and medical marijuana. Runa Fianna, the UDPP candidate, called it "a last ditch effort to win undecided voters", which was quickly denied by Kayabuki's press secretary. Kayabuki also announced she would cut taxes from the current 28% to 20%, to allow people to spend more and be more happy. In enviromental changes, she announced plans to look for oil in Northern Omnitretus. Kayabuki, who doesn't believe climate change/global warming exists, has no plans to sign the Kyoto Protocol. Her opponent, Runa Fianna, has said global warming and climate change are the biggest threat to Omnitretus' survival. "She's just going to turn a blind eye to her people, just like our current Sovereign has," Fianna said on Saturday.
It's unseen if the planned reforms will help or hurt Kayabuki. "The people will do the right thing and elect me," commented Kayabuki.

Nikolai Sobyanin, Founder of the Communist Federation, endorses Riza Kayabuki(FTSP).
Nikolai Sobyanin is considered the most powerful man in Omnitretus' Communist affairs, his party, the Communist Federation, has not won a seat in Parliament yet. It's remains to be seen if Sobyanin's endorsement will help Kayabuki clench an already tough Presidential race. In the April 15 elections, the Communist Federation received 1.7% of the vote, but failed to pass the 2% threshold to get some seats in Parliament.
Sovereign Maligore II(No Party) endorses Riza Kayabuki(FTSP) for President.
In an unexpected development, Maligore II(better known as Younas Makanin) announced he will support Riza Kayabuki. The Sovereign commented that "we need a moderate face in this office, not a radical left-winger like Runa Fianna." It's suggested should Riza Kayabuki lose to Runa Fianna, he would institute martial law, which could cause chaos in Omnitretus.
Former Prime Minister Chandler Gerbera(FTSP) endorses Riza Kayabuki(FTSP).
In an unsurprising move, Chandler Gerbera has endorsed Riza Kayabuki for President.
Riza Kayabuki raises $7.7mil in 1 week, Runa Fianna raises $2.3mil.
"The people don't desire change, they want our policies - not her and her leftwing elitists," Kayabuki stated after announcing her money raised. Runa Fianna attacked the fact Kayabuki had taken money from special interest groups, whereas all her money came from the people's generous donations.

After arguments and disagreements between incumbent President Riza Kayabuki of the For The Sovereign Party and incumbent Prime Minister Runa Fianna of the United Democratic People's Party, Riza Kayabuki has announce Presidential elections for May 1, 2008.
For The Sovereign Party is an ultra-conservative political party, with radical policies such as closing the border, lowering taxes and a smaller military. All of which, the opposition claims would "cause Omnitretus to fall apart". They favor an isolationist plan for the country.
United Democratic People's Party is a PowerBloc formed by the Leftist movements in the Parliament. They favor higher taxes to support Omnitretu's growth and well-being, an adequate army and open borders, friendly policy abroad with all nations. They favor global friendship, unity and peace.

Riza Kayabuki was born January 6, 1958 and has been President since April 1, 2008. Before becoming President, she served as a member of Parliament for almost 2 months. She is the mother of 4 children and has a loving husband, who resides in the capital, Itassis City.
Runa Fianna (United Democratic People's Party)
Runa Fianna was born September 21, 1981 and has been Prime Minister since April 15, 2008. She is the youngest Prime Minister to date. Omnitretus Daily News, the leading news magazine, gave her the #2 spot on "Omnitretus' Top 5 Brightest Hopes for the Future" in the March 2008 issue.

On April 1, 2008 -- The Sovereign was stripped of all powers and duties by the voters, now the UDPP Government and Parliament want to finish what they started by abolishing the Sovereign position.

The April 2nd Massacre - 3 former Prime Ministers dead.
Bernard Nader(75 years old), who served as Prime Minister for less than a year is one of the dead this evening. He was shot twice in the head by former Prime Minister Milliardo Sforza(age 53), who after shooting and killing fmr. P.M. Nader, killed his sister, Rebecca Sforza(age 32), the former Prime Minister who was the caretaker of the position. After killing both of them, he shot himself in the head and committed suicide. Witnesses to the tragedy say he "did it for the future of Omnitretus".
"It is likely Omnitretus is undergoing a coup'de'tat against the Government and Parliament at the behest of the Sovereign, Younas Makanin," said one political observer. "Bernard Nader, Rebecca Sforza were 2 of the masterminds behind the Sovereign Independce Act 2008, which stripped the Sovereign of all power. The 3rd mastermind, former Prime Minister Wong Yunfas, was assassinated by the former members of the Itassis Royal Guard on March 29, 2008," said the observer. "It's no coincidence," he said lastly.
Rebecca Sforza was Deputy Prime Minister in the al-Zahir Administration, UDM's 3rd-in-command, Jin Seiei, will become the new Party Leader and Deputy P.M.
Should the Sovereign be assassinated or removed from power, the President of Omnitretus would become Sovereign.
Omnitretus Votes: United Party of Independents, United Democratic Movement, The Red Union win 63% majority in Parliamentary election, For The Sovereign Party candidate Riza Kayabuki wins Presidency with 58% of the vote.
Following the assassination of former Prime Minister Wong Yunfas by disgruntled Itassis Royal Guards, the UPI/UDM/TRU Coalition, known as The National Centre-Conservative Front, won a very powerful 63% majority against the opposition alliance, The National Leftist Front.
United Party of Independents won the most seats in Parliament, with 76. The United Democratic Movement won the second most seats, with 69 seats. The Common Sense Movement, founded by former Personal Secretary to the Sovereign Matthew Winner, won 62 seats. In a distant 4th, the once-powerful and ruling party, For The Sovereign Party, won 26 seats. Last but not least, The Red Union won 7 seats.
Fakir al-Zahir, son of Former Prime Minister Ali al-Zahir(Prime Minister from 1986-1987), who was assassinated by Chinese seperatists, will become Prime Minister and the youngest Prime Minister in Omnitretus history. He will be 29 years old later this year. He will begin serving his term on April 1, 2008 and that term, under Sovereign Independence Act 2008 (SIA08), will last 1 year.
In Omnitretus' Presidential election, it was a landslide victory in favour of the political moderate, Riza Kayabuki, who is a member of For The Sovereign Party. She will become the first female President of Omnitretus. She won 58% of the vote. Her term will begin April 1, 2008 and under the SIA08, her 1 term will last 6 months and she will be ineligible of running again.
The Election Committee of Omnitretus has said that the voter turnout for both were at 79.6%, which beats February 16, 2008 election results, which had 70.7% voter turnout. That election turned the tide, toppling 16 years of For The Sovereign Party rule.
The election results have been certified as of April 2, 2008.
Former Secretary-General of the Itassis Royal Guard Raizen Nenkras charged with masterminding and carrying out the assassination of former Prime Minister Wong Yunfas, planned to assassinate United Democratic Movement leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Sforza.
Raizen Nenkras, who served as Secretary-General of the Itassis Royal Guard from March 8 to March 29, 2008. He has been charged with 1 count of 1st degree murder, 1 count of attempted murder, 1 count of conspiracy and 1 count of treason. Mr.Nenkras has claimed to have made a plea deal with the court, in which, he would give up all his information about the assassination.
The Sovereign has asked for Raizen Nenkras to be served a death sentence for his actions.
The Sovereign, Maligore II, appoints Ambassador to Transvaal.
After much discussion with the al-Zahir Administration, they've agreed that former Prime Minister and career politican, Chandler Gerbera(P.M. from 1992-2008) will assume the Ambassador post in Transvaal. The Sovereign, President Kayabuki and the al-Zahir Administration hope Chandler Gerbera will be welcomed by the people and government of Transvaal.

President Michael Warner, Prime Minister Wong Yunfas announce resignations, call for March 31, 2008 elections.
In a sudden decision early Sunday morning, the National Centre-Conserative Front Government, led by Michael Warner and Wong Yunfas, announced plans to hold elections on March 31, 2008. "It's time for a mandate, a mandate of this government by the people," commented outgoing PM Yunfas. He said he would lead his party, The United Party of Independents, to "a great, powerful win". NCCF Presidential nominee Michael Warner and United Democratic Movement Chairowman Rebecca Sforza announced continued support for Yunfas as Prime Minister, should they win on March 31. The Red Union leader, Bernard Nader announced this will be his final election he goes into as TRU's leader.
On the opposition side, the new party founded by Matthew Winner, the Common Sense Party, Les Brizane's For The Sovereign Party and Kira Sune's People's Pacifist Party -- have all announced support for the National Leftist Front Presidential Nominee Riza Kayabuki. Should the NLF alliance win on March 31, it's expected Matthew Winner would become Prime Minister.
The resignations are effective immediately.

Sovereign Independence Act(SIA) passes by public vote.
With 98% reporting, a record voter turnout of 78.4% -- the "Sovereign Independence Act" or SIA, has passed overwhelming. With the passing of this act, The Sovereign would become a powerless figurehead to the government. The Prime Minister and President would control any and all Government operations, along with the Parliament.
Prime Minister Wong Yunfas has applauded the vote, calling it "A new era for Omnitretus" and President Michael Warner has said "With this in effect, we are more free to enact policies we couldn't once enact without approval of the The Sovereign and his circle."

Omnitretus Parliament votes, passes "The Sovereign Independence Act" after hours of debate.
The ruling Freedom and Democracy Coalition(FDC), comprised of the political parties United Democratic Movement(UDM), The Red Union(TRU) and United Party of Independents(UPI), has voted to strip the Sovereign position of any and all power he or she holds. He or she would then become a powerless figurehead and would not control the affairs of the state. The vote was 217-23, which meets and beats the 60% required to put it to public vote.
The people must approve of the Act in the coming days in a special election. It is widely believed if the Act fails to pass, it will be a major setback for President Michael Warner of the UDM, recently elected on March 13 and for Prime Minister Wong Yunfas of the UPI. It would be likely that one or both men would submit resignations to the Sovereign following a failure as an apology. Rumors circulating both men's offices is that a resignation is in place should the measure fail.
A latest Public Opinion Poll about "SIA" - which is the codename for Sovereign Independency Act, is too close to call.

The Sovereign, Maligore II, announces dissolution of Parliament.
One day after assuming office, I have decided to dissolve the Parliament and Mr.Yunfas' Cabinet. We need a stronger administration than what we currently have. Parliament elections will be held March 10, 2008 -- same as the Presidential election. It's time for a change, a change that can and will guarantee a better future for this country.
The current UDM/UPI Coalition is not in the best interests of my administration nor is it in the best interests of the people. If the ruling coalition does infact win the March 10, 2008 elections, I will give my utmost blessing to it.

March 7 2008 -
The Sovereign, former Prime Minister Brizane, current Deputy PM Sutherland and the IRG Secretary-Gen Kratos assassinated by Chinese seperatists in coup'de'tat attempt.
This evening, The Sovereign was killed by the remaining Chinese seperatists from the previous attack on The Royal Guardia. Itassis Royal Guard Secretary-General Leilong Kratos, Former Prime Minister and future wife Altena Brizane, and lastly, current Deputy Prime Minister Providence Sutherland were also killed. It's seen as the largest and most successful attack by Chinese seperatists in the last 20 years. Prime Minister Wong Yunfas denounced the attack and called upon the 3,100 members of the Itassis Military to prepare an attack on China in response. The March 10, 2008 Presidential Elections will go on as planned.
Younas Makanin to become the next Sovereign immediately. Matthew Winner to become the next Personal Secretary to the Sovereign immediately. Unknwon as to who will become the next IRG Secretary-Gen.
"It is a great day for China, we have assassinated the Dictatorship of Omnitretus," commented Chinese Seperatist leader Huang Zhi. "This only strengthens our movement in this country." In meantime, the Chinese government has declined to comment or condemn the actions of Mr.Zhi.

- Itassis Royal Guard Secretary-General Tobeigera Sarunen retires due to health concerns. -
Tobeigera Sarunen, former Prime Minister(1968-1980), Defense Minister (1980-1982, 1988-1994) and Secretary-General of the Itassis Royal Guard(1994-2008) has decided to retire from the government after more than 40 years of service to the country of Omnitretus. The Sovereign applauded Tobeigera Sarunen as "a great patriot" and will name Sarunen's replacement tomorrow. Tobeigera Sarunen is 86 years old.

- Leilong Kratos is appointed Itassis Royal Guard Secretary-General.
Following the retirement of Tobeigera Sarunen, The Sovereign has appointed Leilong Kratos, 39, as the new Secretary-General of the Itassis Royal Guard. He was previously the No.2 under Tobeigera Sarunen and was his apprentice. Leilong Kratos will oversee the 150 members of the Itassis Royal Guard, who's job is to protect both domestic and foreign leadership.

- Presidential Elections on March 10, 2008
After the seat has been vacant for more than 40 years, Prime Minister Wong Yunfas announced he will have Parliament reopen the Presidency, however, the President will be a public figurehead, he or she will have no significant powers. Parliament later voted 229-11 in favor of the motion.
Each party has nominated a candidate for the Presidency.

Itassis City's Royal Compound "The Royal Guardia", was attacked by about 60 Chinese seperatists on Thursday. 15 members of the Itassis Royal Guard were killed and atleast 30-40 Chinese seperatists were killed in the attack. This is the first time that the Chinese seperatists have infiltrated "The Royal Guardia". The Sovereign is being transported to his safehouse, where only The Sovereign's Circle and the Cabinet of Yunfas are aware of his presence.

Prime Minister Wong Yunfas welcomes Transvaal Amb. Laurens Bosman
P.M. Yunfas greeted Mr. Bosman at the airport this morning in Itassis City. Mr. Bosman, representing the country of Transvaal, is the first such international diplomat to vist Omnitretus in almost 30 years. Wong Yunfas is known for having an isolationist policy, but it appears that could be changing -- given the current turmoil the world is in. In another move, Wong Yunfas announced that he intends to open further relationships with other countries in the future. He welcomes more Ambassadors from other countries, to further "global unity".
It is unknown who P.M. Wong Yunfas will appoint as the Ambassador to Transvaal, but it will be announces in the coming days.

After concluding 6 months of investigation, an independent panel has issued a formal indictment to Prime Minister Milliardo Sforza. The Sovereign has asked for him to resign and he has complied.
The indictment includes the following charges:
1 Count of Tax Evasion
1 Count of Money Laundering
1 Count of Evidence Tampering
3 Counts of Obstruction of Justice
He faces atleast 8 years in Greneda's prison fortress for his crimes.

Upon the resignation, National Intelligence Director Yunfas denounced the panel's findings as "destroying an innocent man's life", also adding "it was a witch hunt" and he has every intention of seeking revenge on the Independent panel, run by Secretary-General of the Itassis Royal Guard Commadant Tobeigera Sarunen by a vote of no confidence. The outcome of the vote was 124-126, which means the movement failed.
In a related matter, The Parliament voted 129-111 in favor of making National Intel. Director Wong Yunfas the next Prime Minister. Prime Minister Wong Yunfas is well-known for being very Anti-Sovereign, which could possibly make him a target, like Kallen Bazaldar, who opposed The Sovereign. In his speech to a crowd of 250 supporters, Yunfas commented "I will make it my job as Prime Minister -- to end The Sovereign's 40 Year Disaster!" If The Sovereign were to desolve Parliament now, it would be a sign that he fears Yunfas.

The Sovereign pardons former Prime Minister Chandler Gerbera of his crimes, calls for time of healing.
This early morning, The Sovereign has issued a pardon for former Prime Minister Chandler Gerbera (1992-2008). The Sovereign said in his statement, "The people of this country need to be healed -- let us move forward and give him another chance."
In response, the Deputy Prime Minister Matthew Winner of the United Democratic Movement commented "The Sovereign has deeply disappointed us today. He has allowed a criminal, who admitted to everything he has done, go free. The Sovereign has failed his people."
Chandler Gerbera will likely intend to run for Personal Secretary to the Sovereign in 2009, once Younas Makanin's term has ended after 12 years of service. It is highly unlikely the Parliament would support such action, should the UDM/UPI still be in power.
National Intelligence Director Wong Yunfas said on Tuesday "The Justice system of this country has taken a serious blow and we have lost credibility, actions and steps must be taken. I urge Prime Minister Sforza of the UDM to present a motion to oust The Sovereign after this vile and disturbing action." Yunfas continued to say "If I die tomorrow, you look at the beloved Sovereign, he kills his political rivals, just look at Kallen Bazaldar!"
The Sovereign's Personal Assistant, Younas Makanin, has denounced and condemned Yunfas' words.

The Sovereign declares a "snap" election following arrests of current Gerbera Cabinet.
Prime Minister Chandler Gerbera, the Deputy Prime Minister, The Defense Minister and the Intelligence chief were all arrested following an investigation by the Itassis Royal Guard. They are being accused of, with enough evidence against them, murder of the former United Democratic Movement Leader Kallen Bazaldar.
All 4 have submitted resignations and The Sovereign has accepted.
Chandler Gerbera is also accused of 4 other crimes, such as the attempted assassination of The Sovereign in 1993 and another attempt in 2000. He faces the death penalty for his crimes. His deputy, the Defense Minister and Intelligence chief are all expected to get life sentences.
United Democratic Movement Leader Milliardo Sforza applauded the downfall of Gerbera as "A great day for the people of this nation" and called for "swift, quick change in Itassis City." The "For The Sovereign" Party has elected former Prime Minister and soon-to-be bride of The Sovereign, Altena Brizane.

The Sovereign denounces the killing of UDM Leader Kallen Bazaldar
Frontrunner Kallen Bazaldar, leader of the United Democratic Movement, was brutally murdered by anarchist groups late Friday evening. She was only 49 years old and leaves behind a husband, 3 children - ages 5, 6 and 9. The new leader of the United Democratic Movement, Milliardo Sforza, believes The Sovereign's personal guard attacked and killed Mrs.Bazaldar. On behalf of The Sovereign, these accounts are false and rediculous.
The Sovereign is considering postponing the elections until July 5, 2008. The UDM is strongly urging against delaying the elections. "We shall still participate in these elections, even if they are neither free nor fair. We will fight against the current dictatorship of Chandler Gerbera," said UDM Leader Milliardo Sforza on Friday.
Prime Minister Chandler Gerbera condemned the attack and murder of Kallen Bazaldar in a press release on Friday. In a seperate press release, PM Gerbera denounced UDM Leader Sforza's words as "terrorist" and urges voters to deny "that man the power of this country."

District 4-6 tend to equal about even between the 2 parties, the "For The Sovereign" Party holds 28 seats and the United Democratic Movement has 22 seats of the 50.

The Sovereign announces plans to marry former Prime Minister Altena Brizane
In a surprise announcement in his 71st birthday celebration, The Sovereign has announced his intentions to marry the former Prime Minister Altena Brizane, who was Prime Minister from December 1990 to December 1992. She is currently 58 years old.
Upon hearing this announcement, Altena Brizane's son, Les Brizane, announced he has submitted papers to run under the For The Sovereign Party. Les Brizane, if elected, would be the youngest Parliament member ever elected, at age 25.
The wedding will be a public and private occasion. The actual procession, will be private. However, the reception is public. Security will be high, as all 128 members of the Itassis Royal Guard will be on hand to protect The Sovereign, his beloved bride and her son.
On the issue of succession should something unfortunate occur, females are prohibited becoming Sovereign, so naturally Les Brizane will become the Sovereign and will take on the name Maligore from that day forth.
