Chow, just to let you know, I, yes myself, intimidated SaS so bad that their leader said to me please don't attack SaS, or we'll have to deal with their protectorate. Just by saying his nation looked pretty, it'd be a shame something happened to it. So...good luck with this.

I have no issue with you expressing an opinion that supports FAN on this issue. FAN did not have access to this forum. RS does. So please - if you're going to support FAN you can do so effectively in some fashion that does not include an outright lie.
I would love for you to link me where there has been any discussion on any new senate proposal on whether they should vote yes or no on it. As soon as it happened I brought it to KCPs attention, you can search all over 'Operation Unknown' and you will not find any mention of how to vote, why to vote, or the brought up of any ways to vote. There was no contact by tJL to RIOT, or on the KCP forums about voting. In fact, there was a thread started by RIOT on the issue, not before by any one else. So please, if anyone is going to be called a liar, it's you.

BMTH, you were running your own candidate anyways, so how did we spit in your faces? And again, why do you need to buy nukes at this time? And if you need some for defense, buy 5 and still turn a profit. If you're rebuilding, the financial benefits are even more of an incentive. Leading up to the event selection, 2% of yellow was active within the past 7 days purchasing a nuclear weapon. As of right now the vast majority of yellow are benefiting from over 4.5 happiness. Tell you what though, come to me through private channels and I'll help anyone in Riot optimize their rebuild if you so desire.
Smurf, we do not regret the outcome chosen. You can't please everyone, there will come a time when my nation or tJL as a whole are negatively impacted by an event. That is the nature of this business. We do agree communications could have been better by all parties and they will be going forward if other parties make the attempts they so seek.
Again, you're missing the point. But thanks for admitting you didn't come to anyone in RIOT, where you share a voting agreement, where still half the AA voted for Max. We only recently restarted to shift our votes. We need to buy nukes because we were massively raided by Aztec, and friends, where it was a nuclear week long war, where SDI's and the such drained our nukes. But that is neither here nor there. Even a few members of Kashmir, your direct ally could have benefited from the rebuying of nukes.
Next time have Max Power actually go to the forums we share in common to be like hey, is this cool with everyone. Instead of just assuming everyone is cool with it. Or you can continue you say hey, its fine, every one is benefiting from this, especially when an alliance that help max Power get into the senate in the first place did not want this.

You're wrong, it affected RIOT a lot more than any other AA on yellow, so I am glad one of your nations is getting nuked over it. It is not economically beneficial to us as a whole, as said before, the rise in nuke purchase costs is not offset by that 3+ population happiness, not even close.
You're also missing the point of this thread, you should go talk to people before voting. You had not even come to us, where we share a senator voting agreement....I can tell you know that RIOT will not be supporting Max Power as our senator. Because you basically spat in our faces without even coming to us.

Your collection did not go down because of this. It boosted happiness, and raised your bills much less so. Unless you mean cause GRL is up.
Also, it is pretty stupid to say it hurts 5 guys who left you, making it 6 of 24, when only 2 of those guys are even on yellow, and oth actually gain from this.
Edit: However, if Chow starts buying up his nukes again, it can hurt 3 of 100 or so. I don't want to come across unfair.
Nah, you're right about the other nations, I didn't feel like checking their team. All I can say is that, since I started buying nukes again, during this senate proposal that went into affect, my collections have gone down. Also, it hurts any nation on RIOT buying nukes (except 2, who are not on yellow, but the 6 people in RIOT still rebuying nukes still are effected), " +25% nuclear weapon purchase cost and upkeep cost." So to say that 18 out of 18 benefited from this is wrong, since it's costing us 25% more to buy, and we're missing 25% extra from nuke purchases, which RIOT is rebuying, out of our warchest, ( I guess we use collections differently but I digress) so it does indeed affect RIOT, and anyone buying nukes, because the happiness increase does not cover the amount of money we are spending extra on nukes, and the small upkeep amount extra.

Yeah, considering one helps every single nation yet you called them out for both, lets save time and assume it would go over your head.
Edit: Still for the sake of others: At most this proposal hurts 3 (might only be 2) Fan nations, while helping 84. The gains to those 84 are of of a considerable magnitude more than the potential loses for the 2, and it is not clear that the 2 will stay that low infra when they even collect.
Looking at Riot Society since they got singled out as it must hurt them, they have only 2 nations this could hurt, and either have enough nukes for it to hurt. Meaning it is good for 18 of 18 in Riot Society.
Calling these 2 proposals stupid to vote for is a bold move.
Well to be fair, we did lose 5 nations yesterday to a splinter, which hurt them the most which was roughly close to 25% of our AA. Even I have seen my collections go down, a negligible amount, but still have gone down. So if we count the 6 people out of 23 thats good enough for 25% in my eyes. Because those 5 people fall into the range that had enough nukes, and where in the right infra bracket for it to hurt.

Presumably it was not this proposal that FAN took issue with, due to the fact that it basically just adds 3 income to everyone on yellow.
I'm not saying your math is wrong, but I'm not following it. Here is what I got: In order to test this theory I deleted a stadium. My taxes paid per citizen went from 178.61 to 174.66. => +3 happiness = $3.95 per citizen.
If nuclear upkeep is 400k as you said (412.5k for me), we would need to make at least that to make it worth it.
Therefore I would need 3.95x to be > 25% of 412,500 for this to be worth it for my nation where 'x' is the number of citizens. => x = 26107 citizens.
Therefore any nation with less than 26,107 citizens would be adversely effected by this IFF they have full wonders.
EDIT: Did my math above wrong, fixed now.
Now looking at a nation with zero economic wonders I have the following givens (but 20 nukes for sake of argument):
- 1 stadium deletion results in income going from 68.44 to 65.08. => 3.36
=> Following the above math, they would need 30,691 citizens to make this profitable. Which is approximately 3k infrastructure with 3BR and full clinics/hospitals.
EDIT: tl;dr So basically this screws over anyone under 3k infrastructure who has nukes on yellow, namely RIOT.

Who is this RS that everyone keeps talking about. The short name for RIOT Society, is just RIOT.

Riot Society uses Skype quite a bit for building relations with nations within the alliance.
Actually. RIOT had maybe 4-10 posts on our forums until you merged into RIOT. We used irc, and that was it, our forum usage, which probably fails in comparison to other AA's has been used 10000x fold more, skype (now), and IRC has always been the communication for RIOT.
All we asked was that you sign up on the forums, just incase we had to issue something bigger than a small alliance announcement, or on irc. But using our forums was not needed to be a member.

I don't know why people keep saying this. It won't. At least not for me, maybe others in RIOT, but I've acted this way in this place since my nation was created back in 08. If people change because they were attacked, they're weak. I'll play how I've always played, this won't change anything. -
When this situation began it could have gone either way. It was your choices at that point that lead to war. It could have just as easily ended in a better relationship with AZTEC. Even if there was some old grudge between you, all the more reason not to act in any way that might be perceived as disrespectful. No matter how you slice it, RS messed up. AZTEC is helping you to realize your mistake, learn from it, and you'll be a better alliance.
Not really, the next day after I was "rude" I apologized on DT forums, without being asked to. We did everything DT asked in the end (since the first talks with the leader of RIOT, since I am no longer the leader, his word should have been taken over mine), even when I was still against reps, if you bothered to read the logs, and the talks with SHIELD, which I don't think you did. But then again, I digress, and as many people have said; It wasn't about the SHIELD incident getting resolved. It was about us hitting NSF in the FAN-WAR, and them getting upset (even though I we thought DT gov said ok, but he they used the excuse as we don't read our embassies, but again I digress) and a topic title. So let's not pretend that us fully giving out reps to the affected party, and them saying everything was good between us is the main reason. They're doing it because they can, and we're not well connected, which is what we do, which I have no problem with. But when you at first say you're defending your protectorate, especially when your protectorate said everything was good between the two parties is just silly.

Just your members attacking SHIELD after a pending member attacked you from there, got it.
That we paid reps for, to both nations. We talked to SHIELD, and diplomatically resolved it. Did we make a mistake? Yes. Did we pay reps for that mistake? Yes. Did the offended Alliance accept the reps, and say the conflict was over, and nothing else was needed? Yes.

Not at all, we paid reps because our guy, that you brought to our attention nuked SHIELD. That was wrong, and we even know that is wrong, after seeing his total attacks go up, and up. We stepped in and offered reps, not because you were threatening to attack, because it was a dick move of one of our members to nuke a nation we asked to peace out on.

You misunderstand. You're being attacked for being !@#$%bags, the incident in which your !@#$%baggery became unbearably offensive to us was the SHIELD raid.
Thank you for being truthful dear friend. Thank you for acknowledging that even though the SHIELD thing was finished, you still wanted to attack us. I for one get that. Also it wasn't a raid, we never once said it was a raid, and always said it was a mistake. It was a mistake that a pending member attacked RIOT, and we responded with force, that we paid for in reps.

One person, and we can show you where we're in the process of kicking them out of the AA. We paid reps because that was wrong of our members to do, but because of the threat of you attacking us, but because our member nuked them when we have multiple AA announcements in-game, and on the forums asking them to stop.

If you had actually approached DT from the off in a way that suggested that you thought that hitting their protectorate was an oopsie, you might have gotten away scot-free.
But neither happened. And lord knows this wouldn't be the last time, if that were the case. It was time to send a message.

We explored other avenues, and we came down to paying reps after talking directly to SHIELD. We went back on saying we would not give reps, and we did. We said from the beginning that it was wrong, and that it was not endorsed.

A month ago, exactly. Maybe it wasn't their leader, but it was BlackEyedBilly (?) he may have said he was the leader at one point in time. If not, my bad.
SaS top nation was already raided by RIOT, and dropped 40k with only attacking once or twice, it was his first attacks ever, we even got a PM from gambona congratulating us on getting him to actually attack, and not just hide during a fight. He is also a war defector from Ai, or from another AA that merged into Ai, that refused to fight, and he's their Security chancellor? They'll need you guys to nuke anyone who attacks...
