    *Broadcasting live from California*

"Today is a glorious day for the Network! We've defeated our enemies, and we shall rise, rise strong, and prosperous. No longer shall we be held down by corporate California, we shall open our fields to cannabis, our industry shall thrive! We've broken the shackles that have burdened us for so long, gone are the days of oppression brothers, gone are the days of persecution! Today. We re-open the Network. we lay claim to all that is California, Nevada, the southwest shall be ours. Viva La New Horizon! I will now take questions"

  2. The text, alliances, and surrounding thread are all incredibly boring.

It's not funny. It's not anything. It's just... there.

    Hope you're having fun?

I didn't happen to read the text, so I can't fault you for thinking it's boring!

I'm not sure how you can say the including alliances are boring, but hey, maybe you're just so unique and un-boring that anything remotely close to being "un-boring" is just plain, and boring. I mean Lacender is in the middle of this whole Rota thing, which is why he's here posting, and posting more than the members of this thing are. I do agree with you the thread is slightly boring, even if Rota is basically the only one keeping it alive.

On your third point, if you're not having fun, why are you even here?

It's a bloc. Only DH gets to pull that.

It's a suicide pact, not a bloc. Get it right, nerd.

    The Mens Recovery Project

    Preamble

Greetings, my fine fellows! We are the Men’s Recovery Project, a group of likeminded alliances who take great delight in each other’s company. As a result, we decided to put pen to paper and declare our great enjoyment of our time together. We shall assist in building each other and will thus further the links which bind us.

    1) Every signatory of this document will do what they can to protect their fellow comrades yet are not mandated to fully offer military support. This also extends to liberation confrontations on other parties where the fellow parties are given the option to join if they decide to but are not required to do so. We love each other very much so.

    2) In the likelihood that information deemed interesting to any of the parties’ surface, then this shall be shared between all signatories in such a way that will allow for them to be able to fully disseminate the information under the guidelines of Fair Game.

    3) Signatories will do what they can to support their fellow brethren by offering assistance in the form of monetary aid along with technological advances in such a way that a mutually beneficial relationship can be thrashed out and used to destroy the underhanded hordes of the rogue menace.

    4) Sovereignty and autonomy of the signatories shall be respected yet at the same time disregarded when it is deemed worthwhile to offer up a unified front in case anything major happens such as an undisclosed threat deemed OPSEC by the signatories. We are a force to be reckoned with, considering we have a dedicated set of skills which complement each other in such a way that makes resistance futile.

    5) Membership to this most prestigious institute requires for the prospective alliance to submit an application in order to be able to be considered for membership. The great minds currently within the group will then review the past, present and future of the applicant and make a decision, maybe requesting relevant questions to be answered to gouge their worthiness to our cause. If they get approved, they shall be welcomed with open arms. Principals only, recruiters please do not contact this project. Do not contact us about unsolicited services or offers unless they are of great benefit to us such as natural enhancers to boost our respectable egos.

    6) It is possible to withdraw from this organisation however it is deemed bad form and will be considered to be a great disgrace and probably undertaken by some evil watchdog group which we will probably whack. The same rules apply to any signatory which gets expelled which won’t happen unless they are really idiotic, and in both cases the amount of time until they are no longer held by the terms of this document are mandatorily generated using a random seed number generator.

    7) Amendments can be made arbitrarily at any time. Each signatory will be undergo the necessary groupthink action which needs to be undertaken in order to solidify the status quo and to free the glorious leader of the free people and liberator of the chosen.

    8) Men's Recovery Project has never supported the use of homosexuals for slave labor.

  4.

I honestly don't have the time, energy, or patience to decipher the hidden meanings behind everyone's announcements.

No, I know. I've just been getting a few queries of people trying to get us to merge into them, and asking why we were merging. Most of them said it was because of the ASR, so I had to troll through posts to see what they were talking about! Just wanted to clear up some of the confusion!

  5.

So what am I trying to say? I am here to encourage the small, interesting, daring alliances to keep doing what you're doing. Even if the big guys upstairs don't appreciate it, I do. And what else are you playing this game for if not for my entertainment? Just don't be my tards about it, that's all. And I'm not here to attack anyone in particular, I don't know the difference between most of you. If the shoe fits though go ahead and wear it.

Once upon a time, I was known as an alliance hopper, because I left a lot of the AA's I joined within 2-3 weeks of joining. I was in MHA, when they were the largest alliance in the game in numbers, two man AA's, middle sized AAs, semi-large, sanctioned alliances, and inactive shell alliances. No matter the size of the alliance, i've always felt that smaller AA's were so much better suited to my game play. This is not a game that I want to sit out, and plan 6 months to a year later, like some AA's seem want to do. I just don't find that enjoyable, and I find that "micro's" just seem to play the game that I do, not that micro's don't plan for the future, or for a year in advance, because I don't know every micro, and how they play. I'm just saying, if that they played like that, I wouldn't be in that micro.

I've just found micro's to have more fun with their membership, not an old-mens club, and have more one-on-one communication with members.

Micro's will never go away, because large alliances don't play the game like some people want to play.

  6. I hope everyone follows your lead and makes a topic every time a tech seller backs out of a deal.  Then we can all read an extra 100 worthless topics each day.

This thread is like a blunt pencil

    Pointless

You missed the point entirely. He didn't back out of the deal, far from it. If you actually had contextual reading down, you would be able to discern that said nation was in bill lock, and was looking for help from his alliance. He said to us that he wasn't able to pay us after two weeks after the missed deal, then in two weeks, he said he wasn't going to pay us, because he was in bill lock, and couldn't send out aid. We then contacted NSF gov, they ignored us, so this thread was made. They in turn contacted us, so what you see as pointless, was in fact not that pointless. We helped a nation get out of bill lock, and helped him complete his deals, as well as getting the original tech. Just because you don't think it has a point, the point was gotten by the people it was intended to get get, and it was taken care of. So, in fact, it was not at all pointless.

So i'm oh so sorry that you think people using the CNForums to actually contact people, and or get something done is pointless.

I also find it funny that the community says this place is dying around here, but when people actually use the CNForums for game related topics such as these, they get berated, and made fun of for using the CNForums. Before you say, you can use forums, and irc to get this done. No alliance needs a forum to play this game or irc to play this game. We have in-game announcements which take away the need for forums, and irc. We have the CNForums for global communication, which it has been used since inception.

  7.

Pretty sure CRV told him to sell off his military so he would lower his bills.....That's what I got out of the message. Sure sending him aid is a quick fix but the kid only learns that if he's in trouble he can get bailed out......I for one never liked that logic.

Yea, he said the same thing on irc, but he also said, he had to send out all his tech to lower the bills as well. The kid has been waiting a month or so for help, and judging by his PMs to his buyer, he's been asking for it for awhile, and he just got it. Also, I don't believe it was his fault he got sent into bill lock (we can argue it was since he wasn't prepared for war, but that ultimately lands on the AA's government) he was either attacking FAN in the short war, or was attacked by FAN. So it wasn't really his fault he was sent into bill lock, in my eyes. But I can see where it was his fault for not having a warchest, but I digress. I agree with you that helping someone who doesn't deserve to be bailed out, because of his own mistakes, and faults, just helps to replicate the behavior again, and again. Though, I don't think it was his fault, by being in bill-lock, or staying in bill-lock.

Because let's be real, how negligible would the reduction in his bills have really been? 40k? If he's been in bill lock for a month or so, that would not have helped in the slightest. But hey, NSF our your allies, so I get you defending them, but I hope you can see the selling off of military, which maybe would have saved 40k in bills, and telling him to send out his tech before he got money (which the game wouldn't have allowed him to do) is a sad reason to kick someone off the AA, especially who was active. Yes, auctor, we've extended our help to eric4500, and if he wants to join there is no one stoping him from joining us.

  8.

    Or what?

Don't really see what's inherently wrong with dumping nations that are a net drain on alliance resources.

He was an active kid, who was looking for help. Sure, I agree with you that you should kick nations who are noobs from your AA. I can get behind that. But they kicked him for not following orders, which was if you want our help, lower your bills, and send the 200 tech your nation has to lower your bills. How on earth, if he is bill locked, can he send that aid to lower his bills? I get kicking people for not following orders, if they wont follow orders, off you go. But the game wouldn't allow him to do what they were asking him to do.

We sent him aid to get out of bill lock, and crv said we can get our tech from him, and NSF wouldn't pay it. Which is all fine and dandy, i'm just glad that we all came to a conclusion of said matter. The nation is getting the help he needs, and we will be getting our tech.

I want to thank NSF for the help they've been tonight, 11 days later.

  9.

So he got offered economic advice...went noob and proved he had no clue....NSF kicked him out.....

I'm fine with it. If you're that worked up over the tech the guy now has no protection so you can hit him if you want.

Again I wont drop logs, but what they wanted him to do, the game would not have allowed for him to do that. They wanted him to send out the 200 tech before they helped him. He was in bill-lock, so he could not send out any aid, he could only receive. Kick out a nation for being a noob, I can get behind that reasoning for other circumstances, but don't tell the kid to do something that the game wont allow him to do, then kick him out for not doing it.

  10. If you had shown logs of a convo regarding tech to Empirical and Saxplayer then who did you initailly talk to about getting it sent? Because again to my knowledge, Sax and Empirical have recieved nothing on the issue. Considering I have no pms about it on here and neither does my nation, it doesn't seem like much effort was taken to contact us.

I queried Saxplayer about it, and showed empirical logs of what I said to saxplayer. I can PM you the same logs, which I will do in a second. I'm waiting on Mistrals logs, to show you who he talked to. I can show you logs of where I said, hey let me query Saxplayer since, they ignored you. I can also show you the PMs I had with Empirical (screen shots) of our PM conversation last night, where I started the conversation. Which will be sent in a second. No one in NSF has tried to get back to be sans, Empirical.
