    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=28756 (GATO no reps)

    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=16985 (10k to NPO 70k total)

    http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/GW3_Leg...Surrender_terms (800mil)

    Totals:

800mil, 85k Tech (145k if you count all of continuum)

This is what NPO has gotten in terms of Monetary Reps from the wars its been in (after GWIII) Not sure the reps gotten from GATO. But at the time the legions was the steepest ever. So Basically (if you take the NPO counter offer) it is 10x the sum of the cash (I know there is more from past but nothing like that) and 3.5x(2.0x if you count NPO for the entire continuum) the sum of tech.

  2. I thought they were broke? Most NPOers in this thread claim those in peace mode have been beaten down and dont have that much left..which is it?

There are many that have basically no money left, and they are in peace but not banks. Then there are banks. I guess you can always look at the stats chart and see which have changed very little in infra to determine which are banks if you were so inclined. But it isnt anywhere near the 250 I have been hearing. If I had slipped into peace mode last week (yes I could have). I would have still lost over 3k tech, 1 billion and 11k infra, I wouldnt label me as a bank.

  3. I think better terms could've been devised. Demanding no monetary reparations at all and getting rid of the two weeks out of peace mode requirement, but forcing them to spend all their remaining money on land and tech (to be verified by spy ops), and forcing them to self-ZI any of their nations which still have infrastructure, then giving them peace on the condition that all of their nations maintain certain minimal navy levels, based on their size, for the duration of the terms (with minimums on the number of naval improvements they need to maintain for a given number of citizens... say, every third improvement, until they have them all), would certainly slow them down to a crawl when it comes to rebuilding. The tech terms could perhaps stay the same, or could be open to negotiation (preferably with a certain amount of mandatory tech dealing at a terrible rate, like 3/150, taking their place). If they accepted and then violated those terms, they'd have plenty of land and tech which could be raided, and if they were to abide by the terms for the duration, they'd end up selling tons of their tech off, once any tech reparations are paid off, just so they can rebuild more quickly. If they're really as bankrupt as they claim, then they should jump at the chance to accept terms like those; they'd have no room for excuses.

You know that puts everyone in bill lock?

  4. This fear of regrowing and coming to knock down your door is interesting.

    1. It assumes that we are vastly superior in diplomacy, nation building, and war (and I mean vastly)

    and

    2. You will either lose all your members or you will be stupid in building your nations.

This game does have numbers involved. Right now it is probably still like 80mil + against us. How is it even remotely possible for us to gain 80mil in order to beat you guys down at all?

  5. Alright,

I have probably given the most (inter NPO) during this war. As it stands I have sent 90mil out and no I was and am not a bank, I just basically retired and did nothing but log in every 15 days to collect taxes. In 14 days I will probably not even have 1000 tech. So guess what I wont be able to help pay reps. More than likely I would use my 6 slots to pay reps at a rate of 18mil/300 tech, but given the 2 weeks of extra war I probably wont be able to. So in 6 months I could send 324mil and 5400 Tech but I wont be able to cause of having both of these restrictions in place. I think this is bogus. Oh yah it is me that is doing the damage, not someone in peace mode.

  6. That Second Alliance Council was a group of handsome fellows.

A friend of mine told me a story about how his parents caught him smoking cigarettes when he was a teenager so they made him sit there and smoke the entire pack in one sitting. That gave me an idea. I think NPO should be forced to keep max military and sit in DEFCON 1 for a long time, that would be a novel approach at punishing them if that's what you're looking for. Make them have 50 cruise missiles, enough soldiers to make their citizens uncomfortable, and a bunch of tanks sitting there as well. They won't dig themselves out of that anytime soon.

Of course then people don't get to profit from their victory. As if all the tech you've scored raiding the enemy nations isn't enough. I dunno, I just think reparations are way, way overused.

This would be funny, you would have some people come on IRC saying OMFG NPO is ready for war and laughs would be had all around.

  7. So you expected your enemies in the GATO-1V war to have 100% out of Peace Mode?

This is something that has been quoted time and time again as one of the reasons for this war. I know the Karma is the new Hegemony has been played and played again. But does 10% really make a huge difference? Also if I am wrong if they didnt come out of peace mode under that then their nation was on the hook not the entire alliance.

  8. At the moment there are 177 nations that would be responsible for the reps (if I read it right anyone above 1000 tech at the time of terms is on the hook for the reps) and anyone that joins after or crosses 1000 tech isnt responsible. Correct me if I am wrong.

If there was the 14 days of war and the attackers are coordinated then you can do 100 tech damage a day (80 from nuke 1.5 from CM and 2 from each ground). That would mean that there are only 52 nations that could pay off reps.

Basically it could be seen as a time value of money. Obviously if there is no 2 weeks of war then you have 3x as many nations that could pay reps and thus 3x the amount coming in every month.

This is all based on the assumption that as soon as terms are signed those nations are on the hook for the full amount.

  9. I'm sorry, I believe we do actually have a level of equality in what people can say now. I'm sorry to tell you that things change and that I am not merely an onlooker as TFO is still in the war, and I have fought (although now anyone I could have fought is now in peace mode).

How you came to the conclusion that I was merely an onlooker and therefore have no say baffles me and leads me to think you haven't thought this through properly...

I apologize, I was not aware that TFO was involved in this war. For that I rescind my statement and offer you an apology.

My statement was based on own personal experience and what I recall. I have not fought any TFO nor do I recall a declaration (although it was a month ago)

  10. Also I do not blame Londo as "the greedy bad man" although he is not simply a messenger, I still say the saying keeps pace.

Jens, since you are not directly involved in this war and merely an onlooker I ask that, even though you are allowed to speak your mind as you please, do not use wording such that looks like you have a significant say in the matter. It was merely a question as obviously not having me as part of NPO would hurt them possibly for an indefinite amount of time.
