The first round of elections for the 19th High Council of the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance have concluded, with six of the seven contested positions being decided. The six members indicated in bold below will join sitting Chancellors NeuralLink and mcp13 on the High Council for the coming two months.
The race for the Minister of Defense position, led between Jrkee and Obadiah Hendrix, shall proceed into a runoff election over the next 48 hours after a single write-in ballot prevented either candidate from exceeding the 50% threshold necessary for victory. This scenario has caused some members in the alliance to voice concerns over the specifics of the electoral process, and it is likely that some changes to voting procedures will be made as a result. After nearly six hours of voting in this runoff election, both Jrkee and Obadiah Hendrix are tied with 50% of the vote.
