my knees hurt!!!!

emily

I fell over and skinned both my knees today. It REALLY hurt!!!!

lol @ the i'm so mature because i'm 20 comment. Come back in 15 years after years in and out of psychiatric hospitals seeing friends kill themselves, die of their medication, or be murdered because of biggoted attitudes like your own and then I may listen.

i get the feeling from posts her the CN community is saying act weak and people will make you a victim.

YOU should change/reroll. We as a community will not sanction the biggots who are bullying you.

However, there is another side many of you are unable to see. Thats the PMs from people saying they agree with me, or are in a similar posiiton but, are just to afraid to come out in public.

It makes me so sad to see that in this day and age, people [including some of YOUR closest friends] are still afraid to admit to even a basic depression for fear they will be treated like.... me.

Excuse me, question. Why must you bring your real life in at every opportunity?

I have no problem with you talking about your knees hurting, but accusing someone of fighting you just because of a mental problem is quite asinine.

Your problem with the CN community is not your (presumably) clinical depression.

It is your complete disregard for social dynamics and how they work. Either you do not care or you deliberately do the wrong thing (according to your own professed goals) to get the exact negative attention you then wail against. I know your usual response to this is to deny and bring up irrelevant examples of people being mean to you for absolutely no reason. This is false. The reason is your conduct. You are either completely clueless or you are working to get exactly that response from people.

Either way it falls on your shoulders, because no one else is getting !@#$ on like you are.

Well given that I don't even know these people and they are going out of thieir way to attack me at times when say I am happily chatting away about completely unrelated subjects I would beg to differ....

So really what I must do is shut up and reroll. Unfortunately, though this is a game, life isn't always like that. I fail to see how giving CONSTANT examples of people being mean to me for no reason other than my perceived illness can be anything but relevant.

Clearly the ill/different deserve to be attacked? You could even say "she's asking for it - eh?"

Actually, what he said has nothing to do with your illness. It's your unwillingness to talk to people and grasp what they're so frustrated with you about, and instead complain and somehow draw a line between their anger and your illness.

They might be "attacking" you because you've said something asinine. You should ask around. Really, if you can't handle it, though, there's an ignore button for a reason.

You have never offered proof that the things done to you is from a bigoted attitude.Exactly how are those actions by others against you, not coming from your own doing. And continuing in the same behavior expecting different results is clearly not the path you should pursue.

A mental illness and losing friends does not justify reprehensible behavior.

I altruistically feel for your pain with you condition and suggest that if this game is contributing to it,you might decide in your interest to leave.Using a metaphor, if you throw your own excrement, society will not continue to let you get away with it, whatever the mental condition.

So when I say your usual response is to deny and bring up examples, you do exactly that... And then refuse that I could be right in the rest of my post?

I didn't say you must shut up and reroll. You don't have to do anything. If you want people to treat you decently and not take a huge dump on you, all you have to do is change the way you approach social relations. For instance, that someone bans you from a channel is not the end of the world and they likely forget about it about 15 seconds after doing it. Unless you cry. Then it's fun. That behavior will be repeated!

Now I realize you don't make a fuzz out of every incident, but you make a fuzz out of enough that this is what people associate with emily. Crying loudly about issues no one else would raise an eyebrow over. That makes you a target, it makes you exploitable for entertainment. That is a very strong part of the online social dynamic, because most people have no personal relation to you and are only looking for entertainment of some kind. Making quasi-people on the internet cry is very entertaining for a large portion of us.

Arguing that it isn't right does nothing. It is what it is, either you learn to deal with it the way it works or you will continue to be poked and prodded at to garner some amusing response.

In your position, I would simply start talking publically about completely different things, not related to myself or my issues with people or alliances. I'd stop blowing up over nothing, like nasty queries or random IRC bans. I'd stop admitting to crying over "mean" things done to me.

The less you talk about you and your problems, the less people will harass you for you and your problems.

Really.

Again, the examples you will bring mean nothing, because you DID provoke those "random" queries. They are a long-term result of your long-term behavior. Following my advice they will go away in time.
