Zoot Zoot
Blue Heaven diplomat Whitney Azuma approached General Lewis and shook hands with him. "I'm sure that New Canada will be welcome into the CAN!" she said. She then leaned into Lewis and whispered "How would you like your military to have better technology, like around when the United States of America still existed?" "We thankyou for your offer, however the 7.762mm bullet does more damage than 5.56, if you could provide us with new aircraft, vehciles and equiptment, we can handle our weaponry, a weapons plant is currently being planned for construction"
kitex
"We can bring you Humvees, M113 Gavins, Apaches, and Blackhawks if you'd like. How many do you want?"
Californian
"What is your government and economy structure, what are your main exports, and how do you plan to handle foreign affairs?" the NR CAN representative asked quietly. Pikachurin
<post> "Eh...yes, I do have a question. Several questions, actually." said the Disparuean representative who was just wearing civilian clothing. "Let's say, theoretically, that you didn't like what another nation has said. If that happened, theoretically, will you immediately send an invasion force to pulverize said nation to the ground? Second question: will you be willing to contribute to the CAN Military Force if you became a member? And last, but not the least: if you became a member, what's in it for us, the current CAN members? Will we, as a whole, benefit from your membership?"
Zoot Zoot
The government is run by the Prime Minister, who has to get permission from Parliament to make laws etc etc, general day to day running of the show. Our economy is curretly focussed on trade and internal sales obviously, our Annual GDP at the moment is 123.228 Billion Canadian Dollars per year. Our main exports are fish, lumber, wheat, wine and steel, oil and uranium. Although Uranium is NOT currently an export unless it is part of a secure agreement between a Nation we are very close with. kitex
Why were none of these questions asked when we joined the CAN? thought BH CAN representative Whitney Azuma.
Zoot Zoot
In answer to the Disparu representative: "No we wouldnt certainly not, diplomacy must be utterly worn out before military action is taken, and even then the chances of that happeneing after diplomatic talks etc are virtually nill, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Secondly, we wbe willing to provide soldiers for the CAN military forces. Thirdly, you would benefit by having another nation with a strong economic backbone, excellent land ties with Blue Heaven, a small stretch of ocean for trade, increased radar coverage, faster response times in crisis. You also gain more firepower for the CAN military forces including the usage of our satelights on the chance yours are occupied elsewhere. You gain more airpower and even some battle abrges for better, faster bay coverage. Moreover, you have one more nation you can count on to break their backs to help an ally." Pikachurin
"We'll have two polls, then." said the Disparuean representative as he pointed a remote towards the debate chamber's screens. "The first poll will be for New Canada's membership into the CAN, which will require four "Yes" votes to pass. The second poll will be about who should be the Operations Commander of the CANJSF." Pikachurin
OoC: Operations Commander of the CANJSF: Yes You have to vote for someone. OOC: I am having General Nina Ski nominated as the CANJSF Chairman, not the Ops Commander. Sorry about that. But we don't have to vote for the Chairman, since it automatically goes to you, according to the Arctic Defense Doctrine. IC: "Due to a rather embarrassing mistake on my part." said the Disparuean representative. "General Nina Ski has been withdrawn from the Operations Commander ballot and has been automatically installed as the CANJSF's Chairman. Major General Yerkes, meanwhile, hereby wins by default and is now the Operations Commander of the CANJSF. COngratulations. And since the other ballot has now received four yes votes, New Canada is now an official member of the CAN. Welcome." I propose that we all send one company (200 soldiers) to one another's nations. For example, Blue Heaven would send a company to each CAN member nation to learn more about the other's culture. I think that this would create better bonds on all scales, military, economic, diplomatic, and civilian." OOC: Nina's a girl, btw. Californian
//URGENT MESSAGE TO CAN NATIONS AND CHAIRMAN SKI FR: NORTHERN REPUBLIC MINISTRY OF WAR RE: MONBASSA INACTIVITY The CAN member nation of Monbassa has not sent any communications for almost a year and we fear they may have entered into anarchy for some unknown reason. We believe a CANJSF force should be sent to Monbassa territory to determine its fate and secure it from anarchy if necessary. We have 100 men loaded onto transports and ready to fly to Monbassa at a minute's notice should they receive orders from the CAN high command.
