Centurius
The Xia class Battleships HNS Kalimata, HNS Venice, HNS Rome and HNS Alexandria would take positions near the territory previously held by the Kamborians. With their weapons ready at all times they would be able to provide support if needed. In addition the carriers HNS Aphrodite and HNS Poseidon would be kept in the region to launch aircraft if needed.
Kankou
Why was it that there were always those ready to sell their souls for so-called peace and prosperity under the very hypocritical beings that had tried to exterminate them? Perhaps it was human weakness, perhaps it was just a lack of an independent will. The Papua New Guinea Restoration Movement began splintering with the offer from the Republic of Papua, as two main camps formed: one for full reunification, the other for non-acceptance. But reality was unfortunate for those that wanted a truly independent New Guinea. The Eurasian Fascists continued to aim their weapons at Oceania, and it was certain they would do anything to enforce their will, even if they needed to commit genocide. For now, the dictatorial Eurasia had the upper hand over the liberal Oceania. Then, one would have to fit the circumstances. Out of all the regions of the island of New Guinea, the Oceanic Union controlled parts were the least damaged and most populated. Although there were the nuclear attacks, those were not as effective in mass murder as the Kamborian attacks on the other parts of the island. Large numbers of anti-Eurasian Grand Papuans started to seek refugee in their Oceanic Union allies, who would accept the asylum seekers. Of course, possible war criminals among the people were detained for further processing, but in general there were no problems, unless certain elements would attempt to pick off people based on ethnicity. Tyranny might be temporarily successful, but freedom would ultimately be triumphant.
iKrolm
The Selenarctos White Cross would provide assistance to civilian refugees from New Guinea to reach and resettle in the greater Indonesian Oceanic Union protectorate region. A very few were admitted to Selenarctos, while others were provided with transportation to countries who would accept and help the refugees. Lavo
We thank Tianxia for it's continued support of the Republic and it's predecessors throughout this crisis. With the end of operations against the Kamborians we are confidant that full out conflict is, hopefully, unlikely to occur at this stage.
New equipment would be quickly integrated into the Republic's growing arsenal. The helicopter fleets provided would prove to be particularly useful, as they would be geared towards supporting the ongoing search and rescue operations throughout the island. Further, the new troops sent in by Tianxia would immediately be deployed to the frontlines; which were currently in the process of having a fair chunk of their forces removed, being shifted towards rebuilding the nation, providing basic services, and searching for the wounded, alongside the members of the White Cross whom were aiding the injured. While the armed forces would remain on alert, there was a general feeling of calm throughout, that the worst was past, and most likely that the war was over. The Republic would continue full steam ahead, building a new legal and government system for the nation, with elections set for around a year in the future, assuming the war-torn nation stabilize itself by that time. With the Republic having the largest population of the various camps, and by the hand of it's determined and unyielding populous, the future seemed bright, even if the present time was bleak. Kankou
The split in the Papua New Guinea Restoration Movement had resulted in West Papua becoming fully pro-reunification, leaving only the off-shore islands as still anti-reunification. A short message was sent off to the Republic of Papua.
We, the Papua New Guinea Restoration Movement, accept the proposal set forth by the Republic of Papua
Soon, all of the island of New Guinea would become one. Lavo
With news of this announcement came great joy to all peoples across the RoP. For it meant a peaceful unification of the entity of the islands, now posed to march towards the future, together. The military of the RoP would oversee the de-arming of all military forces in the former PNGRM region, in addition to maintaining the various searches and filters for Kamborians that were previously in place. It is expected that a more formal announcement will be made in the near future, though everything was proceeding regardless. Triyun
Tianxia would like to invite the Republic of Papua to join the Sovereign Initiative and setup a joint Pacific Command to coordinate strategic defense.
Kankou
Somewhere in Oceania "Operation Stardust complete. To the next step." OOC: *Slow clap* Sure there were no OOC motives to jump from the Pacific Harmony whatever to the TSI. Triyun, you just topped yourself. Triyun
OOC: Your reaching for straws here. The Sovereign Initiative has a good record of reliable fighting and has never limited itself by geographic region. I'm not exactly going to say no if he wants to join the PHA either. TSI allies tend to be the most active and have the best infrastructure for cooperating. Go be bitter elsewhere, just because you don't get along with others doesn't mean others cannot. Lavo
With the arrival of the Secretary, and the usual formalities, the Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs would sit down with him, and explain the reason behind the summit. "Throughout the horrifying war, and until this very day, Selenactos has been by the side of the innocent and hardworking Papuans, those who wished to have a stable life and existance, those who wished to simply survive and be able to raise their families, and pursue their various life goals and desires. For this, we are humbly in your debt, and feel that there is a great and unshakable bond between our two nations. For these reasons, we, the Republic of Papua, propose the signing and ratification of a Mutual Defense Pact between our two nations." Before going on, the Minister stopped to let Valdés get a word in.
iKrolm
"Thank you for your kind words, Minister. Selenarctos has always striven to support the Guinean people and I hope to continue to foster the relation between out people. The President and I believe that an agreement of mutual trade and defense between our two nations would be an excellent step to move regional partnerships forward after the demise of the OU."
