Heresies abound in the holy land, with lowly men claiming themselves gods, and Romanians pretending to be Emperors. Persecuted and disgusted with what had happened to their homeland, they were ready to abandon the so-called "holy land" for land where they could worship without fear.They would find this El Dorado through General Supreme of the Grünreich Wilhelm von Hofenheimer. Himself a converted Muslim immigrant from the Balkans region, he saw need to aid the Muslims in their plight. He opened up the doors to immigrants from Turkey, the Balkans, and the Levant. Hundreds of thousands of skilled and unskilled laborers poured into the country, causing a massive population and economic boom. The nation itself was a statue of liberty, built on the ruins of Baghdad and glued together with good will.With over 2 million persons in the country, and a quarter of them Muslims, the artistic styles of the Muslims influenced and synergized with modern Germanic culture. Combined with the traditions of the Icelanders and native Greenlanders, the Grünreich truly was an Empire of cultures.
