It was decided to send a member of the executive triumvirate to Tikal and Governor Randall Crawford volunteered for the meeting. A chartered business jet would take him from Washington DC to the Tikal capital of Dusk and Dawn. After receiving clearance the plane would land and he would greet water party was awaiting him.

Foreign Minister Navarro had arrived in Cairo two nights past. His staff had taken the time to settle in to what would become the Kurdish embassy to the Egyptians, while he reviewed the situation and his objectives. Now he was standing before the Egyptian Foreign Minister, whom he had just exchanged greetings with. “Kurdistan”, he launched directly into business, “is interested in establishing formal relations with Egypt. There are several issues we wish to discuss. Firstly, we wish to secure free passage for our citizens to the holy sites of Christendom, Judaism, and Islam. Secondly, we wish to ensure that the regions of Western Asia remain free of imperialist aggression, and especially colonial interests. And finally, we wish to establish formal trade relations between our nations.”

Ambassador Sirin Diyar arrived in the Persian capital, having taken a coach from her home in Hewler. The trip had been long, far longer than the trips enjoyed by the counterparts she knew had been sent to Egypt and the Ottomans. Once she arrived, however, she knew that the wait had been worth it. The Persians were kin to the Kurds, and she took the chance to marvel at their architecture, garb, and food. She stopped to purchase some local food before making her way, at last, to the structure in which her meeting was to take place. Once within, flanked by two guards, she made her way to the meeting hall and greeted the Persian Foreign Minister in Farsi, “Peace be upon you, Minister Zarif. It's my pleasure, and my honour, to be here today.” She took a seat and settled a folder on the table before her. “Kurdistan has several issues which we would like to discuss with Persia. To begin with, Kurdistan would like to broach the idea of a rail line linking Kurdistan with Persia. The Kurdish National Rail Corporation is already at work constructing a rail line within Kurdistan, and connecting our nation to the Ottomans; with a basic investment from the Persian government we could ensure that the rail line also connects to the major Persian cities, or rail network.” She withdrew a paper and placed it on the table for the Foreign Minister to examine, which detailed the expected construction times and costs if such an endeavor were undertaken. “In addition to this, Kurdistan would like to negotiate an agreement on oil prices, as both Persia and Kurdistan control large portions of the world's oil supply, and are the largest suppliers that have drawn themselves out of the anarchy that has plagued the world. Rather than undercut one another's economies, Kurdistan would much rather have a friendly agreement with Persia in order to ensure that both our nations prosper and benefit from the development and sale of petrol products.”

Deputy Foreign Minister Ajelian stepped out of the carriage when it arrived at the palace in Istanbul. She glanced at it, appreciating the architecture, though wary of the ones who occupied it. Though the collapse, and subsequent rise of Kurdistan, had come before tensions could boil over, she was certain that Armenia's relationship with the Ottoman's would have soured rapidly if the chance had presented itself. Her guards stepped up to flank her as she made her way into the palace. She exchanged a polite greeting, in Turkish of course, with the local staff member sent to guide her to the meeting. She inclined her head politely to the Sultan when she arrived, “Peace be upon you, Sultan Sadik. Thank you for having me.”

OOC: Starting where we left off at South Orkney Islands IC: The diplomats from Antarctica, having just recently arrived, were staying in a small conference room in one of the buildings waiting for a Plains Federation ambassador to arrive to begin talks. The room was quiet while the team was patiently waiting. Not much later the sound of footsteps bean to grow louder when Governor Sparks entered the room.

A message was delivered to the Persian government, informing them of the creation of an embassy in Alexandria specifically for them. Should they choose to visit, the Bishop of Alexandria, Ioannes Palaiologos, would be willing to meet with them to discuss the future of the two nations and whether or not any mutually beneficial interactions between the two could take place. After word was sent to the Persian government, a private jet would make its way to their capitol to deliver their leadership to Alexandria.

It was an unusually hot, sunny afternoon in Belfast. People milled about in the streets, many carrying cones of ice cream in a variety of flavours, vanilla, strawberry, bubblegum... Young people could be seen everywhere, simply relaxing on the grass chatting with friends or browsing the latest selections of clothing stores. Mothers and fathers held tightly onto the hands of their children, lest they be lost in the throng of bodies that peppered the streets. Traffic moved slowly, drivers lolling in their seats as idle hands hung out the window or tapped the roof of the car to the beat of pop music. Seated in the back seat of a government car himself, as he took all this in, William Prescott glanced down at his watch. It wasn't an expensive Rolex or some other timepiece of Swiss magic. Just a simple digital thing his wife had purchased on his previous birthday. He didn't know why but there was just something about its simplicity and spartan look that made him prefer it over any other watch he could want. It read 12:40. Twenty minutes until a meeting began that would put two old countries on a new course of history.

Yayi Boni, President of the Union of Guinea, sat at his desk, alone, his hands upon his forehead in the typical stressed pose, eyes glued to the document he was reading. It was a struggle, this President thing, but he was beginning to grow used to it, and even beginning to enjoy it. His phone rang. Thankful for the break from the neverending droning of the language of this new bill, something about a new refinery in Lagos, he answered it. "I have the draft of the document to send to Sudan," a voice from the other side. "Very well, send it over," the president said, and hung up the phone. A man walked in the door, laid the draft on the President's desk, and waited for the President to review it before sending it out. The President handed it back to the man who brought it in, and gestured that it was okay for him to leave. He left, and the document would be delivered post-haste, while President Boni returned to reading about goat farmers.

OOC: I'm going to go ahead and set up the scene so you can just arrive and get right into it. I'll come to you for private meetings to discuss relations, you can come to one of my officials if they are currently in the ballroom if you wish to expedite this, as well as talk to any mayor of any city or governor of any region (easy enough to look up on a map the names) if you're really bored. IC: The ballroom was ready, many minor officials had already arrived and were mingling on the ballroom floor. Tables had been set up along the sides with refreshments and waiters walked among the crowd passing out finger foods. Additional tables had been set up in the back of the hall for party goers to rest and perhaps order a larger meal if they so desired. At the front of the room a long table had been set up for the upper members of Republica government. For now those chairs were empty as Leonardo and the others talked with the various mayors and governors of the country. The ballroom itself was fairly large, large enough to accommodate all the representatives expected. With a glass chandelier hanging from the middle of the roof about ten meters off the ground. It was well lit, and had a golden shine to it due to the pillars on the sides of the room and edges of the ceiling being painted in gold. The carpet was red with spectacular designs of assorted lines of different colors across it. The main entrance sat in the middle of the ballroom on the left from the front where Leonardo was currently talking. A private room had been set up behind the front of the ballroom for private meetings. The only thing missing was the invited guests from other nations. OOC: fancy clothes optional.

Near the city center Aedh Ó Conchobair paced quietly around the courtyard of the old college building. A book in one hand and a glass of water in the other. Earlier he had received word of the Irish Prime Ministers intent to meet with the Dáil. But being Taoiseach Aedh was chosen to represent the Dáil, and in extent the people of the Gaeltacht, in this meeting. And so he arrived at his most favorite spot in Galway City. He hoped the beauty of the old college building and its surroundings would put the Prime Minister in a good mood. As Aedh waited for the Prime Minister a car was sent to Galway Airport on the outskirts of the city. Once the Prime Minister arrived he would be driven to meet with him.
