Biohazard
</Classified/Military/> Near the border of Fascist Italy, about 22 miles from it, fourteen battalions of the 9K37M1-2 SAM systems are being set up, complimented by three TEL (9A39M1-2) reloads. The 9K37M1-2 carries four 9M317 Missiles per TEL. Each battalion, in total, has 16 9M317 Missiles on defensive standby, for a grand total of 168 missiles ready. The SAM sites will be guarded by a light guard of soldiers (100), in the event that Fascist forces reach them. The force of 12,500 soldiers and 750 M1A2 Abrams Tanks are being reinforced by an additional 2,500 soldiers, bringing the numbers up to 15,000 guarding the border. The Kill-Zone's are being augmented by mortar emplacements, and anti-tank mines are being spread throughout the area within the kill-zones. Soldiers at the front were being given RPG-7s and M80 Zolja RPGs in order to be used against tanks. Small pill-boxes were authorized to be be built against places expected to have high-infantry low-armored battles and skirmishes. The Pillboxes would be armed with machine gun turrets and a small infantry garrison (10-15 men).
Biohazard
</Public/Military Update/> The Praetorian Guard. The protector of the Roman Emperor, and before that, Roman Generals. The Praetorian Guard are the Special Forces and Peacekeepers of Rome, within Imperium Romanum. They are called on, in place of SWAT and other para-military organizations to handle high-risk things. They are trained to the extreme. Recently, a new weapon for the Praetorian Guard has been added to the general-squad weaponry. The Auto-Assault 12 Shotgun. The Auto-Assault 12 Shotgun The clip and drum shown, can hold 8 and 20 shells, respectively. It has the capability to fire 300 shells per minute, at a rate of 5 shells per second. A link to weapon-testing of the AA-12 can be found below. It is gas-operated and has low-recoil. Not only that, but it is also capable of firing up-side down. For whatever reason that may be. That will also be demonstrated in the video, below.
Biohazard
<\Classified\Military\> As the fourteen 9K37M1-2 SAM battalions were prepared, new units, fresh from production, would be joining them. An additional five SAM battalions are being set up, 22-23miles from the Fascist border, complimented by three TEL reloads. Once more, the five newer SAMs are being outfitted 9M317 missiles. This is expected to be the last SAM movements until the end of the week, when more missiles and SAM TEL/TELAR units can be produced. Shipments from Singapore will be arriving within the day or so, and the soldiers at the front will be outfitted with SAR-21 & MATADORs. Testing and fire training for the SAR-21 will be done near the front-lines in pre-determined training grounds, farther away from the actual front, in order for the soldiers to get accustomed to the new weaponry. The SAR-21 will be used by the frontline soldiers, in place of the HK416. The HK416 will continue to be the main weapon of the Roman army, for the time being. Not only that, but sniper-units from across Rome are being called in in order to defend the front-lines in case of attack. The snipers are being outfitted with the MSG90A1 Sniper Rifle, essentially the same thing as the PSG-1 sniper rifle, of fame. There has been a recent estimate of some hundred sniper units present at the frontlines, concealed amongst the terrain and within the infantry ranks. The M1A2 tanks, not designed for hilly and mountainous terrain as Italy is, are aimed to be replaced by the K1A1, a rather public model MBT. Research is going into it, but with the M1A2 tanks being a more advanced version, minus some obvious things, the research should not take long, and by the end of the month. (RP Tiem: 1 Week = 3 months. I go by 1month=1year) Production will not begin for some time, as the systems are perfected for use. Once production has begun, the K1A1 will enter service alongside the M1A2, with the K1A1 being the 'majority' tank, with the M1A2 being the 'minority'. More to come as more field testing is done with the K1A1 and such. K1A1 Tank Edited June 16, 2009 by Biohazard

Lynneth
OOC: Where'd you get M1A2's? OOC: Everyone and their mother uses M1A2 when they don't have a custom tank.
Biohazard
OOC: M1A2s are standard pretty much for any first world nation, pal. Besides, it's not like they're going to be replaced by the K1A1. The K1A1 won't even be a presence for about a week, anyways. So. Yeah. Biohazard
<\Classified\Military\> In response to the recent movements of the world, and the possibility of a Fascist attack, Roman war generals have authorized an additional 20,000 Soldiers to move up to the front-lines, as soon as possible. Production is being hurried, with an additional SAM battalion being deployed, without any TEL reloads. All forces are to be prepared to shoot any-incoming Fascist/Nordic infantry on-sight. The Praetorian Guard are also being put on high in the event that the Emperor must be evacuated from Rome. A pre-determined route has been taken, where they will rendezvous with a plane scheduled to take them to a safer portion of Italy.
Biohazard
<\Public\> The Imperium Romanum recognizes a state of war between the two Italian states. More forces are being called up from reserves, to make the total Roman deployments up to 50,000 Soldiers. More to come later. <\Classified\Military\> A prototype of the K1A1 tank has been created. Testing has begun straight away, now that war has approached the Imperium. It will still take some time before the K1A1 tank can begin active service, however. Once it enters production, 75% of the tanks in the IRM (Imperial Roman Military) will be the K1A1, and the other 25% will be the M1A2 Abrams tank. Biohazard
OOC: A state of war? What'd I miss? OOC: Repubblica Italia. Old war is old. I've been gone for a few days so I haven't been able to post properly. IC: <\Public\> Full production of the K1A1 has begun. It will take some time to fully introduce it into the IRM, however. So far, only 9 K1A1s are in service, with more to be expected in the upcoming days and weeks. Field testing within Italy has been denied, on account of a cessation of hostilities between Repubblica Italia and Rome. More to come on the K1A1 Situation...
