Sir Keshav IV
"Our base is not built in Douala but more or less little away. Where we are sitting is an old city and to make sure no heritage is lost we decided to build the base 15 kilometres outside Douala and move it more west towards the first of military living space Limbe. We have made sure that there is passage from Douala to Limbe and built our base in that area. If its ok we should continue building it that way as it has cost us millions of Chinese Rupees to just stop now. We have infact brought the equipment and just going into the last leg of building." SpacingOutMan
"I am more so talking about all of the unused land, such as northeast of Douala and due north of Kribi. Would it be possible to tighten the belt? There are fairly major population centers we are talking about here... just trying to reduce as little chaos as possible when informing people they are coming under a SAR." Sir Keshav IV
"Probably too late, it'll be hard for us to change our plans suddenly. We can relocate these people to Kribi and pay for their housing there if needed. We can't change course with over 40% of the project over. " "
SpacingOutMan
"Hmmm. I completely understand. Do you happen to have a map of what has been completed so far? As I said earlier, this is a lot of land for a military base... practically 300 kilometers in diameter in fact. Most bases pale in comparison to that." Sir Keshav IV
"The Aqua region is what we have completed, we will go all the way to the coast and western boundary. "
SpacingOutMan
"Would it be acceptable, then, to shorten the SAR from the south, moving it from Kribi to the river due north? And also moving the east border due west approximately 25 kilometers. This would allow your base due north of Douala to have a lot of wiggle room, but at the same time keep Kumba and Edea sovereign under USM royalties instead instilling more chaos." Sir Keshav IV
"We will not enter Edea or Kumba but a little confused, do you want us to relocate completely to Kribi?"
SpacingOutMan
"No. Just talking about reducing the border of the SAR is all." OOC: Car accident irl, sorry for delayed response.
Sir Keshav IV
OOC: No problem, hope you recover soon IC: "That we can possible do. We shall talk with our superiors and come back to you on that."
SpacingOutMan
"Alright, thank you. We by no means want to hinder the already constructed regions as we understand the plight in costs and upkeep. It's our citizenship we are talking about here, however, and their best interests must be represented by myself... and that would be to limit exposure to a SAR region." Sir Keshav IV
"We know, and that is why we shall speak with the military command and financial department and come back to you. Shall we announce the NAP in mean time?"
SpacingOutMan
"Aye, that we should. We shall announce it momentarily. It has been forwarded to my Envoys back in Sandoria."
Sir Keshav IV
The building of the base continued as planned. It was decided to continue with the said plans as, after looking at the numbers financialy it could be a major loss to build southwards instead of the said blueprint, as there was much to do in the south and it would hinder the base. A message was sent to UMS- "After looking at moving our base more south and reducing our boundaries from a financial point of view, we see it to be to much cost for this sudden change of building. As such we cannot change the plan we started on as nearly half the base is completed and the other half just needs to be installed as the heavy work was more or less done. If we moved south it meant more heavy work and it could lead to substancial loss of money and time for the government who seem pretty angry about the time this has taken to build and doesn't wish to move away from the projected plan. We shall respect UMS sovereignty over Edea and Kumba and shall have a 10 kilometre buffer zone between the military installation and the cities to show our good will. We are sorry for not respecting your wishes, but at this point of time, we cannot hinder our project anymore. Regards, Wing Commander Lalit Bhatia," Once the message was sent the lunch bell rang and the workers moved into the canteen for their lunch before restarting their work at 3:30 to finish the day's work, once ended it would mean at least 49% of the base was complete. SpacingOutMan
Perfectly understandable. "Alright then, I shall draft up the final treaty and we can call this a day."
Sir Keshav IV
The Crane lifted the final segment for the ATC tower and pushed it into place. Now only the interior of this tower was left. Close by, more crane's were working on brining up the Hangar's. Once this is done mostly in a year or two, then only the barracks were remaining and this place would be fully functional and probably one of the most modern air bases in the world.
