It was a bit of refactoring, so if you see anything obviously wrong, please point it out. Pretty sure it's a script that collects the data. Not quite. What I do is log in to CN, and turn on something that records the web pages I surf to. I surf to the Team Statistics page, the World Demographics page, and then the All Alliances page. From there, I command-click (open in a new tab) the 5 or 6 pages of alliances. Then I command click all the alliances linked on pages 1 and 2 (the top 80 alliances by score). On all the alliance links go to the 'alliance list' view. I click on the details button for the summary of the alliance (which has data not on the alliance list) and close each tab in sequence. It sounds involved, but using keyboard shortcuts I can do it in 3-6 minutes. When I'm done, I stop the program that recorded the .html files, and then the scripts run. My script (parser) looks for the tables and grabs out the alliance info, and generates queries to insert it into my MySQL database. It finishes in ~10 seconds. When that's done, I fire up my stats scripts; they all query against the MySQL database. One generates some CSV files I have Excel spreadsheets based on (the D2D, R and RS charts use these). Everything else is made by one of the other scripts. These scripts are hilariously unoptimized and slow, and takes quite a bit longer to run than it did to record the data in the first place. Also great job with all this. Keep up the amazing work. Thanks for the info, I've altered the database to reflect the changes. I'll re-run the last few days' bloc statistics to fix up things. I re-ran bloc statistics for June 1 to July 2 (I haven't done today's run yet), so they should all be "current". I noticed that if I didn't have data for a bloc one week prior, it has lots of silly "N,one" fields that I need to fix up. Since the 27th or so, everything looks right. I'm not sure why the old queries return NULL (causing the Python "None"), I might look into it eventually. Some of the others might be messed up too. The bloc nations percent change seem very unusual. Beat you in my edit. I think it's fixed now. It was counting a few alliances double (when there were two data points for the same alliance on the same day). I'm going to do some spot checks and then re-run the bloc stats for the last week or two to fix the old ones. Edit: The week-to-week bloc stats I think are fixed, I forgot to fix the big one at the top. Let me do that now... Edit2: Much easier to fix when you know the solution. Ought to be right again.
