Earlier in the week, Ioannes Palaiologos, Bishop of Alexandria, made the announcement that he had granted permission to a civilian organization, known as the Malachian Order of Aidenn, to form. Formal training, to ensure that the Malachians are well-versed in Aidennic scripture and teachings, will be given to them. Another section is being added to the Alexandrian Bethgan to make room for their studies. In addition, non-Malachians will be allowed entry, so that the everyday Alexandrian can further their understanding of Aidennism. 

 

The Head of the Order, Zubair Shadid, was quoted saying, "Malachians live their life humbly. Our only goal in life, is to bring the word of God to those who do not know of him. The name of our order, Malachian, represents this, for it means Messenger." 

 

The Malachian Order is to become the only approved-missionary organization by the Aidennic Church, as the Church does not like to formally preach to non-Aidennists, so as to respect their beliefs. As the Malachians are a civilian order, it is likely they will be at the forefront of missionary efforts throughout the known world. Malachians will also be trained in first-aid at the Bethgan, allowing them to serve with not only the Alexandrian army, but armies all around the world.

The Aidennic Church made an announcement today regarding one of the holy sites of the Pentatarchy: Constantinople. The famous Greek city has strong roots in Aidennism, specifically with Greek Orthodoxy. The nation of Greece and the Church have come to an agreement on the holy site for Aidennists. The Church would be allowed to begin the creation of a Bethgan in the city, allowing for Aidennists the world over to make their holy pilgrimage.

 

A theological university, created for the Malachian Order, would be included in the Bethgan to allow the Order to study Constantinople and the effects it's had on not only Aidennism, but Christianity and Islam as well. The Bethgan would be equipped to allow the completion sacraments sacred to the Aidennists when on their pilgrimage. Zubair Shadid will be attending the opening of the Bethgan, as well as spending a little of time there to preach during service hours. 

 

A second Bishop of the Church, Altaf Asghar, has been appointed to oversee the day-to-day affairs and standing of the Bethgan of Constantinople for the Aidennic Church. Though the Bishop of Alexandria, Ioannes Palaiologos, was not able to comment due to him being in Rome for religious reasons, the amount of travel to Greece from Alexandria have increased tenfold. A state-run ferry service was being created to legally give the Alexandrian citizens a means to make their pilgrimages.

"There were so many booms, all one right after the other, and the ground shook as if an earthquake had happened. All I can remember is running outside, as things were knocked off the shelves and onto the ground. I waited outside for about an hour after the initial shakes and tremors went away, and went inside to check if the phone was working. When I got back outside, off in the distance, it was like a thunderstorm was appearing out of no where, with deep dark clouds appearing over the horizon. It looked as if there were multiple ones, but they all kinda swirled around and joined into one big ominous cloud. An actual thunderstorm did manage to break through the clouds, but the rain that came down was black. I think it was carried over from the mushroom cloud smoke; by then though, I had been able to get back inside my house and turn on the news to hear about the blasts," described one Aidennic Alexandrian citizen, in reference to the nuclear blasts that rocked the Arabian peninsula only hours ago. 
 
The Alexandrian military jumped into action with humanitarian efforts in native Egypt and the Sinai peninsula. Their first order of business was to ensure that the communications and power was restored to the downed areas. Medical stations were set up throughout the cities, while military jeeps darted through the streets carrying injured people to them. A state of martial law was declared momentarily until power and communication infrastructure could be re-established in the downed regions.

We hope that you will back our claims, and would like to inquire as to whether or not we can be of assistance in helping to secure order on the rest of the Arabian peninsula. Our chief concern is Mecca, for religious reasons, however we would be more than willing to cooperate.

A few hours after the Alexandrian military had moved into the regions, Ioannes Palaiologos, Bishop of Alexandria, said the following words at a press event in regards to Egypt and the Sinai. "Our fellow Egyptians and our Muslim brothers have been rocked by a massive disaster. Aidennic Alexandria has moved its military into the regions to ensure stability and safety for the civilians there. Humanitarian efforts have already been underway for quite some hours. 

 

That being said, as the new administrators of the Suez Canal, we shall ensure that it remains open to civilian traffic. However, during this difficult time for the region, military vessels attempting to pass will be turned back for until the area has stabilized.

 

I would personally like to call upon New Babylon to meet with myself to discuss any prior agreements that it had with the Red Sea Republic and the future of the Suez itself."

With the recent releasing of Zubair Shadid, Head of the Malachian Order of Aidenn, from Muscovite prison, a celebratory parade was thrown in the capitol of Alexandria today as he made his return. Airforce jets swooped over head creating smoke patterns in the sky for the adoring crowds below while the army orchestra performed their latest piece. Ioannes Palaiologos gave a speech, calling Zubair a "modern Aidennic prophet" and applauding his safe return back to Alexandria. Recent polls conducted throughout the nation have shown a sharp spike in Aidennic converts, with Aidennism accounting for 43% of practiced religions in Alexandria, followed by Islam with 51%, and Eastern Orthodox with 6%. 

 

When pressed for his time in prison, Zubair declined to comment on his time in prison, instead thanking Ioannes and the rest of the Alexandrian State Government, for their timely arrive in Muscovy to free him from prison, and going on to express his hope for Aidennism in Europe. "I believe that, as it's been shown that most of Europe is accepting of Aidennism, or at the very least respecting of it, that I'll begin a tour soon. Though, I do wish to return to Muscovy someday, on better terms, and once again spread the word. It is my hope that the religious laws in Muscovy are repealed in favor of less restrictions on it, however, it is not up to me to decide the laws that govern other peoples."

El Alamein, Aidennic Alexandria

 

After talks with the Great Lakes Republic, Alexandria has announced the creation of a naval base on the coastline of El Alamein, a coast city bordering the Mediterranean. Construction of the supporting infrastructure has already gone underway, with the scheduled completion date to be reached in a couple of months.

 

In return for this port, the Republic has agreed to train Alexandrian naval specialists in the usage and maintenance of modern naval vessels. A special school has been set up within El Alamein for Alexandrian sailors to receive instruction and hands-on experience aboard Republic ships. Although Alexandria has no official navy, the Alexandrian Coast Guard branch of the armed forces is accepting applications for the sailors and service men-and-women who wish to further their knowledge of naval vessels. Class is scheduled to begin shortly after the renovations to the learning center are complete; there is expected to be a high turn out of ACG servicepeople. 

 

As the aftermath of the Red Sea Republic's implosion finally begins to turn into a distant memory, humanitarian efforts have all but ceased in the Sinai and Suez regions. Electricity, running water, and ease of access to food needs have been met. Alexandrian State Department of Labor and Education (the ASDLE) has begun setting up Employment Centers, aimed at helping those unemployed after the Fall of the Republic to get back on their feet and back into the workforce. The Alexandrian economy is predicted to have a small surge as the unemployment rates in the area drop below their record-breaking 30%, to a more stable 15%. Further drops are expected as the Sinai and Suez regions become fully integrated into Alexandria.

OOC: An Aidennist is someone that follows Aidennism, the religion. An Aidennic is a national of Aidennic Alexandria. 

 

A series of terror [url=http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/122675-liable-libyans/]attacks[/url] were carried out yesterday in five Libyan cities, targeted at Aidennist Bethgans. Two of the Bethgans, one in Tobruk, and one in Sabha, were burned down to the ground. In total, twenty people lost their lives to the flames and gunfire, with another two dozen injured. The Malachian Order, a civilian missionary movement, was spearheading peaceful missionary efforts in the disorganized state. An extremist Islamic faction, calling themselves the Sons of Allah, took credit for the attacks and denounced the Order and the Aidennist movement as a whole. 

 

Zubair Shadid, Head of the Malachian Order, released a statement denouncing the actions of the Sons. "Aidennism, and Islam, are both peaceful, benevolent, and tolerant religions. Our mutual shared past, both culturally and religiously, reinforces my belief that we are all brothers and sisters, regardless of which religion one chooses to follow. I implore the Sons of Allah to rethink their tactics, so that we can peacefully co-exist." 

 

Numerous protesters gathered around the Capitol in Alexandria, decrying the death of the six Aidennics in the attacks. Many of them demanded action from the government, to protect the citizens and their rights to practice their religion freely, as well as justice for the deceased. The State Department refused to comment when pressed.

During a press conference today, the State Department notified the public of a public donation given to the Malachian Order, designed to cover the costs of rebuilding the Bethgans in Sabh and Tobruk. When asked about the State Department's attitude towards the Aidennist terror attacks in eastern Libya, the State Department Head, Wajid Masih, only vaguely answering the question by saying "We're looking into it." 

 

Numerous fund raising events began throughout Alexandria, organized by the Malachian Order, to give aid relief to the families affected by the terror attacks. The website designed for the event, where people are encouraged to visit to generate traffic, and by extension, ad revenue, as well as to donate, aims for 5,000 LE (livre égyptienne, French for Egyptian Pounds) for each family affected by the terror attacks, with their grand goal being 100,000 LE.

With Eastern Libya placed under Alexandrian administration, revitalization efforts began in earnest. The first order of business was ensuring that the roads within Libya were up to the standard of the rest of Alexandria. For many months to come, constructions crews could be seen in the streets, filling in potholes and paving whole new roads. These crews would be hard at work elsewhere, as the highway system was expanded to include Libya. Recruitment for these construction crews were to be taken first by a pool of Libyan candidates, to allow those in the newly-gained regions to find employment and a means of living. 

 

Employment centers were set up in the cities, to assist the population with finding employment that matched up with their skills. Military bases and centers would be set up, and the new-Alexandrian citizens would be eligible to enter the Alexandrian military and receive the full gamut of benefits associated with that. State grants would be set up to encourage businesses to expand, either into Libya or from natively-Libyan firms.

After reports coming into the Economic Department of the government, a team of experts are being sent out into the Libyan sands to search for any oil deposits. Their current operation is set to only find areas that could be profitable for the nation; the actual equipment still needing to be purchased, most likely from the African League, in order to jumpstart the project. 

 

A national call went out to any certified engineers to apply for positions within the Economic Department to assist in creating the infrastructure necessary to support this new, immense, project.

Following the recent fall of the Babylonian government, Aidennic forces moved into the territory formerly consisting of Israel and Palestine, chiefly including Jerusalem, the Aidennic and Jewish Holy City. 

 

Efforts by the Aidennic government would be focused on ensuring stable running water and electricity for the newly-administered region. Current plans are to maintain the Babylonian infrastructure until the region is fully brought back to its potential. 

 

The Malachian Order would also send in its people, ensuring basic food and other sources of nutrients were there for the people.

Aidennic technicians have been sent out to the new administration region of Israel with the intent of working with former Babylonian officials to keep the current infrastructure running for as long as possible. To further speed the process along, guild-like institutions are being created to further concentrate the skilled laborers and ensure that they are able to move to areas of the region that need their skills.

 

In addition to all of this, a Persian naval and military base is being created on the coastline of Haifa. An Aidennic military base is being created a short ways away, with the intention of joint military exercises being conducted between the two nations.

With the Holy City of Jerusalem now being administered by Alexandria, a referendum was held amongst the local populace to determine whether or not they would allow the creation of an Aidennist Bethgan within the city's limits. Should the attempt fail, pilgrimage will still be allowed for Aidennists wishing to visit the city that has shaped so much of their distant history. 

 

The government of Alexandria has begun encouraging immigration policies into Israel. Skilled laborers would be in high demand in the new region. A new government institution was created, the Levant Regional Administration, to handle the future affairs until the area was brought fully into the Alexandrian fold. The LRA would take over the chief duty of maintaining infrastructure.

 

Not only that, however, but the LRA would be in charge of resuming educational studies for all students in the area. With the fall of Babylon, the LRA did their best to ensure that families were able to send their children to the same schools as before. In failing this, grants were set up to allow families to move to new areas in the country, to hopefully further their access to higher education. A new Aidennist Bethgan was being planned in Tel Aviv. It is planned for the Tel Aviv Bethgan to become the leading academic university in the Levant region.

Military recruitment stations are being set up in the Israel, so that the new citizens of Alexandria have the ability to serve and defend their country. All of the benefits that are currently apart of military membership are being extended to the new administrative region's citizens, as well. Construction on the naval portion of the Persian military base is being completed. After having received information from Persepolis, the Aidennic construction crews immediately set to creating a new harbor in Haifa, one that would be able to host the Persian navy. 

 

In addition to a naval base, an airforce base is being constructed on the same site. Runways and the necessary infrastructure to house and maintain aircraft are already underway.

 

Construction is already ahead of schedule. The estimated completion time, for the entire base, is set for a couple of months.

The plan was taken into consideration by the Alexandrian government; it was deemed mutually profitable, to both Alexandria and its oldest ally in the world. In cooperation with Republic engineers and capital, a new Alexandrian company was set up: The National Oil Corporation, or NOC for short. The NOC would be owned by the Alexandrian State Government. With initial Republic investment, the NOC was expected to grow massively and provide a nice boon to the Alexandrian treasury. 

 

Reports from the previous oil reconnaissance were sent to the NOC to begin the construction of drilling and refining sites. Numerous areas were selected within the Sirte Oil Basin. Soon, refining and drilling stations would dot the Libyan landscape. 

 

Further south, in Upper Egypt, Republic technicians were received and granted access to the area so that they could begin scouting for proper algae-petrol production sites.

Construction percentage of the base is about 85% done, with the main buildings already in place. Notices were sent out to the Persian government, letting them know they could begin to send staff and technicians to the new base. They would be allowed to set up shop in advance of any actual military hardware, so that the area was to Persian liking. 

 

In the city of Jerusalem, the referendum has come to pass that the local community is willing to allow the creation of an Aidennist Bethgan in the city limits. The LRA has begun the creation of a massive academic university in the city to assist in meeting educational criteria laid out after first being formed. The Jerusalem Bethgan-University is being designed to work in close association with the Tel Aviva Bethgan-University. It is expected that from the two, amazing and powerful research is to flow out. 

 

The finalization of plans by the LRA for the inclusion of the Levant into the Alexandrian Highway System were announced today. Construction is expected to begin post-haste, funded partially by the surplus capital from the Republic-NOC deal that recently went through.

The Persian Haifa military base has been completed. The Aidennic military base, only a short ways away, was also nearing completion. A classified communique would be sent to Persepolis, notifying them that their new base was fully operational and ready to accept ships. 

 

The LRA released a report to the Alexandrian government that the infrastructure and basic quality of life needs were being aptly met by the government, and that the local economy was on the way out of its slump. The highway system construction in the Levant region has only just begun, however. It is expected that the general state of the area will continue to improve, all the way up to and past the finish date of the highway.

The Aidennic military base near Haifa, only a short distance from the Persian coastal base, was completed for army usage. The airforce part of the base was still being constructed, with many of the runways still needing to be placed and paved into existence. 

 

The highway system has begun to be put into place, with border regions in Alexandria-proper having their side of the highway shut down in order to allow for expansion into the Levant region. It is estimated that in a few months, there will be an official highway connecting Alexandria, primarily, to Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, and Haifa.

The military base outside of Haifa has been completed. Military equipment, specifically aircraft and armored vehicles, have been moved into the Haifa base. With the barracks now ready to house soldiers, a brigade has been detached there to be permanently stationed, while another is set to begin combat training exercises. 

 

The highway system has been expanded to incorporate Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. It is expected that more cities are going to follow, as the highway system branches off from these main destinations now. 

 

The LRA is continuing to provide economic grants and welfare for the downtrodden of the new region, focusing on bringing them into the Alexandrian fold of prosperity.
