Voodoo Nova
The Iberian Peninsula has seen a rise in North-African immigrants since the day their governments fell to war, coup d'états, complete economic failure or other reasons lost to history. Many of them have taken up residence in Andalucía, Murcia, and Communidad Valenciana, where their Moorish ancestors ruled centuries before. Iberian citizens, those who came from Spanish and other European ancestry, were accepting of the new residents. The discrimination they faced, despite the façade put on by those in power, was evident to anyone who paid close enough attention to their surroundings. These sentiments, felt by the youth and elderly alike, were seen in the punishing defeat of the Socialist Alliance in the Iberian elections. As citizens felt their livelihood could be threatened with the rise in African immigration, so did their desire for leadership who believes they could combat against the tidal wave coming across the Strait. Those elected sought to encourage natural citizens to become active in the arts, in literature, in music in order to become cultural combatants. This would ensure the survival of the Spanish and Portuguese cultures. Those who believed institutional discrimination were welcomed, but kept their desires private for the time being. They would fight for typical causes, such as tax reform and infrastructure upgrades. Mariano Rajoy, the leader of the Party of Iberia and the newly elected Imperial Administrator of Iberia, enforced that rule ruthlessly. Allowing public discrimination would bring the Athenian government in to Iberian affairs. Imperial Administrator Rajoy would begin his term seeking to improve immigration legislation and meet with national leaders. The ideals of the Party of Iberia could be disseminated and supported with proper planning and action. In time, Athens will be a different country, a better country. Centurius
The rise of the Party of Iberia was nothing but a headache to the Imperial government in Athens, by many it was seen as a rise of old politics and something that could in the future threaten the very nature of the Athenian Federation. Despite all of this however so far it seemed they were set to play nice, as such political advisers were quick to recommend an outreach to the new Iberian administration. The Imperial Administrator would receive a formal invitation on the day of his election inviting him to the Imperial Palace for a meet and greet with the Megale Autokrateira. Centurius
As confirmation was obtained the High Guard at the Imperial Palace would make sure to coordinate with the Hispanic department to make sure the two coordinated well. Upon arrival in Athens the Imperial Administrator would be escorted to the Imperial Palace.
