The fall of the Nords saw a rise of German immigration to Argentina. Tens of thousands of former citizens of Germany, unsure of what their future would entail under the various governments claiming to be from the shackles of the Nords, would begin arriving to Argentina with next-to-nothing. Their homes, left behind. Their friends either remain in the lands of uncertainty or join the rest of the migrants heading to the beacon of South America. Their lives would begin anew in small communities within Buenos Aires, in the outskirts of Cordoba, in Puerto Argentino and in pockets across the country.

President Kirchner issued an Executive Order, permitting the former citizens to obtain legal residency status within the nation. This allows immigrants to share all of the rights Argentinian citizens enjoy, which angered the nativists who have been seeking to make citizenship more difficult to obtain. Undeterred from this vocal minority, Kirchner did not back down on the order. The Germans were welcomed as Argentinians when they arrived, even if some would continue calling themselves Nord.

Of the twenty-five thousand Germans that came, there were many who sought to identify with the Nord identity. These feelings led to meetings in ex-pat communities across the country, to bring more familiarity to their lives. Their old lives in Germany are no more, yet that was all they wished for in their discussions. The way of life, the equality, and the culture was all missed, which made assimilation in to Argentinian culture difficult. As they talked, they wished for a return to their old lives through the only way they know they can: by recreating Nordland in Argentina.

Corrientes – A new political party has requested access to the ballot for the gubernatorial and mayoral elections later this year. The Argentinian Nordic Socialist Party, a recently formed party of legal residents and some Argentinian citizens, was registered earlier this week. A spokesman of the party detailed the ideology in a speech today, which included basic tenets of: equality for all and the superiority of the Argentinian person and culture. Their current goal is to field national candidates for the next presidential and legislative election.

The founding of the ANSP has prompted other expat groups to create their own local chapter of the new party, with the second registration coming from Puerto Argentino in the Malvinas. Political commentators believe with the lack of citizen support, the ANSP will be a short lived party. When Mayor Carlos Espínola was asked about the party, he had no comment. Local residents of Corrientes, the surrounding towns and the Malvinas, are not concerned about the party.

Córdoba – The Ministry of Defense has begun a procuration program to help encourage the use of small-business manufacturing plants to create small arms, gear and other personnel supplies. The program will require procurement officials to consider these small manufacturers for long-term contracts before large corporation contracts and foreign purchases.

The Ministry released a report regarding the program, which states the program will increase the amount of better-paying manufacturing jobs in poorer provinces across the country, will aid in increasing national security efforts and begin decreasing the need for foreign purchases.

The program comes on top of a recent surge in military spending by the Kirchner government. With recent regional instability, the Ministry of Defense has requested the legislature to pass the bill requiring those of military age to register for a possible draft. Failure to do so, after the grace period, will prevent those citizens from obtaining government jobs and receiving government benefits. The military has stated a draft will rarely be called, and will require the approval of the legislature and the President. Critics of this registry cites a lack of concern for conscientious objectors who would oppose participating in a war and for citizens receiving government benefits losing them should they not register in time.

The military has been responding to possible threats in the region, which include the hyper-aggressive neighbor, Paraguay. Upon notification of possible war-games from Paraguay in SAO Headquarters, the Argentine government issued a brief statement recommending against such actions at this time. A spokesperson for the Pink House has stated the reason for the recommendation is placed in the history of Paraguayan expansion and roles in bringing conflict to South America.

**Classified**

After being notified of possible military movements from Paraguay, surveillance drones would be launched. The drones would maintain a patrol along the border. Soldiers and air forces stationed on bases near the border of Paraguay would be placed on high alert.

Buenos Aires – The Ministry of Interior and Transportation has released its report detailing the progress of the new highway project. The report has shown the project is behind schedule and has seen a much higher construction cost than initially planned. Productivity on the project is not high, but wages paid are as they should be if the project were on schedule. Inspections indicate contractors are not following regulations, resulting in falsified documents. The contracts have been annulled and the government is seeking action to retrieve payments made to the contractors.

The project has resulted in a 20% increase in paved roads across the country, with some rural regions seeing over half of their roads paved. There has been a decrease in unemployment since the project began, but projections indicate that it will return to previous levels after the roads are finished being built.

Ushuaia – The Department of the Malvinas has improved since the founding of the nation, after the devastating rule of previous rulers. The Islands history is wrought with destruction, death, economic turmoil and fantasy dreams that never saw fruition. In recent history, the number of citizens has increased to around 5,000, with roughly 60% of them living in Puerto Argentino. A poll conducted by the local government saw a high favorability rate for the Argentine rule, as opposed to the unfavorable rates given to the previous rulers, such as Umbrella and the former independent national government.

The Malvinas has been an increase in job creation with businesses adding tourism and technology jobs. TÉLAM has announced it will be opening a small office on the island to provide localized news and Telefónica has begun laying improved communication lines to the Islands. Flash Internet has stated it will provide internet services to Puerto Argentino and Puerto Mitre.

Governor Fabiana Rios has passed a budget which will provide logistical infrastructure and business incentives to the island economy. After the devastation seen on the island in its history, The Head of the Malvinas Department, Luis Gallo Porras, has stated the Island is above the population and economic situation prior to the independent Malvinas nation. In time, he hopes, Stanley will become a major tourist destination in Argentina.

In the northwest of the nation, NordSoc leaders held a summit to discuss their agenda and short-term goals.  The Argentine government had recently placed them on a domestic watch-list after a number of incidents related to members committing acts “in the name of Nordic Socialism”. These rogue believers were hurting the movement, yet there wasn’t a proactive way to prevent them internally.  There had to be structure and order. The power of the party over its members had to be absolute.

The first day of the summit led to the creation of a 5-person executive council, allowing for a central group of leaders to formulate internal policy as well as act as spokesmen for the Argentine Nordic Socialism Party.  The first chairman elected was José Batlle, who helped form the party in Corrientes.

The following days of the summit continued with Batlle mediating the discussion amongst the new Council and the party leaders as a whole. The leadership had decided to rebuild the foundation of the Germanic Nordsoc Party. The members had to be educated about the accomplishments, the people and the advancements made under the original Party. The Council ordered each Provincial Headquarters, and the Malvinas Headquarters, of the NordSoc Party to create a curriculum of education for the newly created NordSoc Education Division.

The creation of the Education Division had led to the formation of other program ideas, including a paramilitary arm to help protect the leaders, their homes, their families, Party buildings and the Party’s ability to exist. The Council would be in charge of this Division and would seek the most dedicated recruits to fill the ranks.

Cordobá – The Argentine NordSoc Party has begun construction on a new headquarters building in Villa General Belgrano. This comes on the heel of a recent summit in the city of Catamarca, where José Batlle was elected their first Chairman.

Sr. Batlle was one of the original founders of the ANSP in Corrientes. He is elected at a time where the Party has seen a rise in violence, arrests and other issues stemming from affiliates. These problems resulted in the Ministry of Justice declaring the ANSP a domestic terrorist group. Sr. Batlle has spoken out against the claim of terrorism from the ANSP and has vowed to help law enforcement investigate acts perpetrated by claimed members. The Chairman reiterated the Party’s goal of helping all of Argentina through their ideology.

Puerto Argentino – Construction has begun on a new private school, The ANSP Institute, in Puerto Mitre. The educational institute was founded by the NordSoc Party and will be staffed with solely NordSoc members. The school is expected to be open for the start of the typical public education school year. The ANSP is seeking qualified members to hire for all positions and encourages local members to apply.

The ANSP announced more schools will be opened across the country. The schools will have to follow the appropriate process for accreditation, which is a requirement for educational institutions to operate and to award diplomas to students. The ANSP has not commented on the accreditation requirements.

The rise of Nordic Socialism in private life had made many young people wary of the real intentions of the party. The inaction at the federal level for many of the issues since the foundation has led to protests across the country. The drivers of the protests were younger students, people born into the protectorate region and saw the new nation as an opportunity to build a better future beyond the abuse of previous regimes. The protests began over the small things, like tuition rates, transportation costs and lack of many well-paying entry-level positions after secondary and tertiary education. Eventually the protests were fueled by the inept Peronist government, or so they called it.

In Europe rose the inspiration for their movement: Hellenic Socialism and the group behind it, Liber8. For years, the HelSoc manifesto was spread amongst various activist groups throughout the nations universities. Students discussed the theories, created plans, had a leadership in place, but were powerless at the moment. The young nation still has the backing of the people.

“Your time will come” was a statement heard by many of these budding students from their mentor. It would be their time to suffer through the failures of the present generation power. That was what they hoped to prevent, but there had to be preparations. They had to educate people, build the movement and ultimately take control.

Buenos Aires – The Justicialist Party has seen better days since the election of Fernandez and her government. The Party has discussed many key issues, but has not passed a bill. The administration has threatened to begin taking action through executive order. This prompted some members of the right-wing faction of the party to condemn the threats as tyrannical. Others in parliament have called the threat meaningless, citing inaction against the wave of immigrants and the rise of a declared terrorist organization.

Thousands have protested the inability of the government to pass meaningful legislation in the nation’s first legislative session in decades. Fringe parties, usually numbering in the hundreds, are rapidly gaining members as the coalition parties fail to live up to their promises. The ANSP has built up in strength to roughly 20,000 members. The leftist mainstream parties, such as the Radical Civic Union, have seen an increase in their rosters over the last year.

Two gubernatorial elections occur within the next few years in Corrientes and Santiago del Estero, which the PJ hopes to win to improve its control at the provincial level. The UCR won’t have an easy challenge ahead, with support for the Justicialist Party still high across the country. Corrientes and Santiago del Estero voted overwhelmingly for Fernandez in the presidential elections, 68% and 82% respectfully. The UCR has seen a decline at the national level, but they have hopes local and state-level elections will yield victories they can use to rebound in 2015.

Cordoba – The Advanced Air Defense Program, which began last year to replace the aging aircraft used during the Democratic-Ubersteinian era. The goals of the program are to retrofit newly acquired Luchadors and Interceptadors, while also determining an appropriate replacement for both aircraft.

Alfredo Dato, the Chair of the National Defense Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, stressed the need to have a strong, modern military to maintain regional dominance in light of expanding neighbors, the fall of the Paraguayan government and turmoil in Uruguay.

“It is time Argentina modernizes and advances its military to be able to defend her interests in South America and abroad. Our military has served as a defensive and peace-keeping force in the past, but those days are over. We need to expand our navy, our air capabilities and ground defenses“

Dato, in his speech, stated the need for Argentina to greatly increase the defense budget in order to meet the needs of the other two military programs: the Advanced Naval Defense Program and the Advanced Ground Defense Program, and the increase in military personnel required to meet new recruiting quotas.

The Army and Navy each have their own modernization programs as well, which are designed to improve Argentina's ability to defend the mainland and the Malvinas. Bids for various projects within the programs have started, with the goal of receiving at least a dozen bids per project.

**Classified**

Research and development would begin immediately to create an air superiority and multi-role fighter, designed to replace the interceptor-class and the aging Rafale-inspired multi-role currently in use. The goals of the sub-program would be simple:

• Be able to establish air dominance in South America and the waters around the continent.
• Create an aircraft that can serve interchangeably between the Air Force and Navy.
• Be suitable replacements for the Luchador and Interceptador

Bids will begin immediately to find the best option for the goals of the Argentine Air Force.

Despite their attempts at indoctrinating people in to their ideology through protest, educational facilities and election campaigns, the leadership of the NordSoc Party could not break in to the political landscape. Their schools did not receive students beyond party members, which resulted in the closure of 3/4ths of the facilities. The rest were converted in to standard charter schools, to be run without the ideological components.

The Fernandez Administration, in an attempt to stamp out the troublesome organization, has called the ANSP an illegal guerilla movement. Military raids began against the provincial headquarters across the nation. Local leadership would face military trials, while national leaders managed to escape to the Chilean territory.

Christina would inform the SAO of her intentions to pursue the leaders of the NordSoc party in the Chilean territory. Aerial surveillance across the Andes would begin shortly after, using AWACS and lightly-armed reconnaissance drones.  With concerns over possible Chilean assistance to the ANSP, she would begin asserting jurisdiction over local authorities to begin rooting out NordSoc support.

On the intelligence side, S.I. discovered their support was the highest in Valparaíso, Punta Arenas, Concepción and Aricas, with possible bases throughout the Andes Mountains. Three mountain regiments would be sent to hunt down the ANSP leaders, while light infantry battalions would be sent to lead the search within the cities.

Buenos Aires – A strong shift in the administrations attitude regarding the Nordic Socialist Party occurred earlier today when the Ministry of Justice declared the organization an illegal paramilitary movement and will treat it in the same vein as previous groups who sought to topple the Peron government. Local leaders have been arrested on charges including conspiracy, arson, and damage to private property. Warrants have been issued for national and provincial party leaders on various federal charges. Police were fired upon on a few occasions while attempting to serve the warrants.

It has been suspected the ANSP has been targeted for the violent acts of its members and the brainwashing of young students in their educational facilities. The Ministry of Education has revoked the entire systems accreditation, effectively shutting down the institutions permanently. Some of the facilities were re-purposed by local school systems, while the rest are slated to be torn down. The unfinished headquarters building in central Argentina has been ordered to halt construction.

The rise and fall of the Argentine Nordic Socialist Party has been swift and unfruitful. In search of glory, the leadership could not obtain victory in an election or participate in local debates and discussions. Their violent members could not be controlled, many of which, this news team has discovered, have criminal records in Argentina or in their home country. In the short few years of their existence, their call for change and revolution has failed, but not without consequence.

The Argentine government has announced its intentions to pursue the leadership as criminals across the continent to the SAO. The military believes the ANSP has a base of support within Chile, as well as safe houses throughout the Andes. There has been no evidence proving such support or locations exist inside the territory.

The Argentine military maintained control of the cities where the bases of operation for the ANSP were thought to exist. The territory, in order to root out supporters, would fall under martial law. The mainland of Chile, and the islands off its coast, would have curfews, random road checkpoints and other measures designed to keep citizens under control as the military operates within the cities. Citizens would begin protesting to the Argentine government and to their local governments. Regional leaders would raise questions with the Argentinians, while lodging official complaints and protests to the SAO.

In the skies over Chile, all unauthorized air travel was shut down and reconnaissance planes would search the skies for movements in the mountains and the valleys. Electronic warfare aircraft would jam radio signals, while the AWACs would monitor movements where possible. Air superiority aircraft would prevent passenger and other aircraft from entering the skies.

Off the coasts would sit 10 submarines patrolling the oceans. A flotilla would make their way to the Juan Fernandez Islands and another to Isla Salas off the coast, which would be claimed under the Republic. They would not block trade to the nation, but they would assist naval assets in the southern cone of ships that could be carrying supporters.

In the Pink Palace, Christina was preparing a short statement to the Argentinian public, to the Chileans and to her allies in the world.

“In the last week, we have been on the hunt for the leaders of the ANSP, who have conspired, encouraged and allowed members of their group to target and attack the people of Argentina. This has brought us to Chile, where many still hide in the cities and in the Andes. We have pushed in to the region with a small part of our military force to root out these criminals and bring them to justice back home. Major cities are currently under martial law, with the aid of local law enforcement and citizens, to ensure we find those supporting these national criminals. We have closed air space over Chile, placed patrols the Chilean coasts and islands, and placed checkpoints at every road crossing on the border. These terrorists will be caught.

Until every leader is found, Chile, the Juan Fernandez Islands, and Isla Salas will be under Argentinian jurisdiction and rule of law. The regional government will cease to function and in its place will be an autonomous government which will be elected in the coming months. Until that day, General Leopoldo Galtieri will govern the territory.

This is a new day for Chileans and Argentinians. We will work with you to destroy our common enemy. We will continue working for the good of our people, as one. You are our brothers and we will not allow harm to come to you.”

In the last month, Bolivia has acted against all SAO directives in their invasion of Peru. They have set up a force in Southern Peru, while claiming to be for the people. President Kirchner has made a public statement regarding the actions of their neighbor.

“The actions of Bolivia go against the principles of the SAO and against democracy. You cannot send in a military force, saying you are seeking to follow the will of the people, and claim you won’t leave until they vote about it. Those actions are contradictory, destabilizing and horrifying. We are giving Bolivia 24 hours to cease their actions, remove their military, or face the consequences.”

Four Argentine ground divisions would begin preparation for the taking of South Peru and possible action in to the Bolivian nation. Three air squadrons began preparing for their respective missions as well.
