Dushan Prvovenchany
Well met members and players of CyberNations! One year back, maybe more, I had put up a question on the boards about the Yugoslav Flag. This time I would like all 20 nations (players) that fly that flag, to comment on this. And of course, all others, that want to participate in this delicate question are welcome to sound their thoughts. Historical Yugoslavia had gone through a couple of transformations during its existance and had always displayed such transformation onto its flag. There was the Monarchy of Yugoslavia 1918-1941, which represented all entities of south-slavs (but was despised by the Croats), the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 1945-1992, which also represented all entities of south-slavs (accepted by Croats as long as Tito, also a Croat, was alive) and then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 1992-2006, which only represented Serbs and Monte-Negrians (also genecial Serbs). Now I am a Yugoslav, born in the idea of Socialist Yugoslavia's brotherhood of nations, a child to a croatian mother and a serb father. And now that I am also participating in this game I love to display Yugoslavia's flag as my personal nations' flag... BUT I MISS THE RED STAR in the middle of it!!!! From all forms and historical transformations Yugoslavia had been living through, the most successful was Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the less successful was Federal Republic of Yugslavia... So again I ask the makers of this game, WHY DO YOU DISPLAY the less successful Yugoslavia's Flag as the Flag of Yugoslavia???? And I ask all players that fly just THAT pitysome FLAG (including myself) to petition against it and to cry out loudly for the ONE AND ORIGINAL Yugoslav flag with the embedded RED STAR to be implemented in this game, that is to replace that Yugoslav "Shame-Flag", that is NOT standing and NOT representing all entities of south-slavs. Thank you. With regards, Dushan Prvovenchany.

[/quote] Or, other people are aware of the Yugoslav past but simply don't care about your GLORIOUS PAST, because frankly Yugoslav nationalism isn't my favourite thing. The admin has used contemporary flags in every other case anyways, and the displayed Yugoslav flag is as contemporary as you can get with flag of a country that doesn't even exist anymore. And no, it's not the one and original Yugoslav flag, it's merely the one from the socialist period. Yugoslavia existed before that and used a similar flag to the one used by the FRY, making that the original one.

Ch33kY
While Yugoslavia is no longer a nation-state in the real world, you're welcome to try recreate it in Cyber Nations. Just make a nation and war everyone who wants to break away from you . Edited May 15, 2012 by Ch33kY
