  1. I'm not saying actions taken after the CB are being used to explain the CB. Jerdge is the leader of AHEAD. He has been supporting and helping LoFN, and receiving support and help from LoFN.

You go from wanting to get him peace to spewing out anything you can to justify your little war. This can be somewhat understandable in your situation but ultimately, it's contradicting. Furthermore, the above post, when read carefully, is incoherent. It sounds nice and all when read by someone just scrolling by but in the context of the reply it makes no since.

  2. Jerdge openly admits he has the skills to fake logs. And he most certainly has.

Are you openly admitting that you do not know how to use notepad, or do you like your Herrings cooked Red?

Grasping for straws earns you the 'worst spin of the evening' award.

Also, I openly admit to knowing how to copy and paste. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

  3. That is not how you use the phrase "begs the question." The wording you are looking for is "raises the question" or maybe "begs for the question", if you don't mind the graceless sound of it.

Begs the question has a technical meaning.

I normally don't bother correcting spelling/usage here (who has that kind of time?), but this one is particularly worth the effort.

See my post above yours. You've missed the real irony in his use of "begs the question", I would really suggest you go back and read the full conversation very carefully. Good stuff, full of unintended punfulness.

  4. As an IO, let me say that had the NPO done that, you would be the last person to know about it.

That aside, the NPO accepted information from a defector. Defectors are not spies. If you can't control the information your former members bring us, that sounds suspiciously like your problem.

That too aside, I fail to see how answering yes to the question "would you like to see my secret bloc?" makes you a spy, it just makes the person who invited him a fool, in particular when the allies of Boris were examined.

    Well, I guess I fail satire 101. :(

The point was supposed to be that we didn't send anyone to seek out the information and that it was just a casual IRC rant that took place in those logs and not really any secret information. Also it's not like we didn't have a clue that Vincent Xander wanted to destroy the Orders.

With what Lord Boris said it is clear that Barakady's side of the story was nothing but lies. What lord Boris did was not spying. What I wrote is irrelevant now because it was based on said lies. I should have known better than to take an opinion before hearing both sides of the story. I'm sorry Lord Boris, I think you did an excellent job handling this situation.

Barakady, please hurry up and quit Cybernations already!

  5. Keep in mind that I don not consider this spying but if this is truly the stance of the NPO explain to me the CB for The War of Retribution which is as follows. (source CN wiki)

Not long after the St. Patrick's Day War began, NPO claimed that GATO was spying on them as well as harboring intentions of hostility, as revealed by several leaked chat conversations between GATO's Assembly Chairman, Vincent Xander, and Legion's Foreign Minister, Sir Galahad. NPO also discovered and banned a spy from GATO on their forums

It was different when NPO sent an agent to GATO to falsely befriend and gain the trust one of the board admins through deception for access to their top secret vault of 100% non-casual IRC logs, including one between GATO's Assembly Cahirman and their closest allies Foreign Minister.

  6. Usually the spy would be posing as someone who has no other allegiance but to the alliance he is spying on while he is in fact working for another group. Since Boris was still a member of FEAR and never claimed otherwise he did nothing wrong.

look at it this way Weiss if before the war a member of TPF came up to you and was like "Hey I like you guys and I will think about joining you but I need to see your forums before I leave TPF" you would say no. If you said yes and that member of TPF found anti NPO plans on your forum it would be his responsibility to report it.

The New Pacific Order does not accept information from spies.

My point is that I do not believe that he was a spy.

The New Pacific Order does not accept secret information from or about other alliances in any form and we have a very strict policy against this. Call it what you want but if a member of the NPO went out on their own trying to get controversial information they would most likely be booted and ZIed for their "information gathering techniques".

And no, what Lord Boris did was not spying, but your hypothetical situations are not helping him.

  8. Since your declaration against LSF was in support of NoV, and you are currently still fighting that war in support of NoV, it would seem you are supporting an enemy of the Continuum. Which is extremely ill advised.

Before you point fingers at MRA, you might want to evaluate your own actions and choose them carefully.

Crohl, I don't mean to call you out, but this war was started via an LSF supported attack on both NoV and NV; NV's declaration is, and was, in support of no one but themselves.

  9. I would like to note that I am a little disturbed that this has been brought onto the alliance politics section of the BBs when it very easily could have been handled strictly behind closed doors. This seems quite pointless, when a pm or irc visit would have sufficed.

  10. Care to explain? Beyond that type of application or Google searching every member of the alliance how would any alliance keep tabs on all their members to be sure they do not hold undesirable RL views?
The satirical post crosses the bounds from hyperbole to fallacy through use of slippery slope, false cause, and over generalization. Furthermore what you imply in your retorical questions above are sweeping generalizations.
Your post before that is also far too IC for this discussion.
If the post was IC it would have been labeled as such; I C nothing IC about it.
  11. Indeed. We don't need to see this on recruitment threads:

Please start a new thread with this information filled out. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

  12. And I'd like to stress out, that only authority to take any action against racist or other illegal activity is the police and the justice department. No individual has the right to take law on their own hands. And this is where the planet bob and the planet earth share the same laws. It is not the duty of TPF or anyone else to start taking law on their own hands, it is only the official authorities that have this right.
THE NEW PACIFIC ORDER HAS JURISDICTION OVER THIS PLANET

  14. Oh my (Terry is) God Terry! I think i'm going to be ZIed again! Someone posed as my identity. I spent like 40 bucks in bulding that nation! :-O

I've had it! My wife and I have conntacted our lawyer. John Evans(our lawyer) has contacted the authorities in the green Bay area to conduct a complete IP search. They have recieved a lead in that it is comming from the UK.

My wife and i have contacted the Cybernations Staff and informed them of our potential law suit. They said that they will automaticly bann any members involved in this Identity Theft.

Not even a 13 year old would be that worried about $40, though he would be about his pixels. So who wants to sue me for Ad Hominem.
  15. I hadn't, so I looked it up.

The fact that there is a term for what I hate, doesn't make me hate it any less. It just makes it easier for me to focus my irritation.

Shakespeare made thousands of new words using anthimeria, ones that you use every day!

You should also look up metonymy "'insertWAE'2.0", periphrasis, meiosis "brilliant political move", Litotes "this will not end well", paralipsis "I need not remind you that you belong to alliance x", conceits -any of them in the OWF, especially if they include The NPO or its allies, aposiopesis -Fan pretending that they need not explain their unsupported arguments because, obviously, if FAN says it, it's true:Awesomesmileyhere:.

Don't even get me started on Antanaclasis and Paranomasia...(was that aposiopesis?) Zeugma can be quite insightful, witty, and amusing so "+1 to u" if you can use it well; but that also leads to my annoyance with people who feel like they must point it out and ruin the fun: no one is going to give you a cookie and, honestly, it makes you look even more elementary. Any use of antithesis to compare actions or alliances is just veiled ornateness and probably fallacious. Alliteration in war and treaty names "is phail" but if you can fit in assonance or consonance I'll be impressed. Don't use parenthesis if you can avoid it. Tl;drs should be full of ellipsis, leaving behind fluff; then again, all tl;drs should just be fake. If you want to be original you could write an entire treaty or declaration using anastrophe instead of a fake title. Also, in treaties, B) ="b)". Polysyndeton in sequences of events predicting the future evils of the NPO. Fragments.

TL;DR: Yes, I would like some caek.
