  1. Indeed, admin is right in saying it is an exploit. When in peace mode, you cannot do harm to other nations, nor can they do harm to you (try spying away nukes or killing tanks while someone is in peace mode). The same should apply to sanctioning as well, as it is an offensive actions that causes harm to other nations.

I'm glad to see the change, and even would welcome it immediately.

Then nations in peace mode should be unsanctionable, correct?

  2. And why was I "removed" from an OOC channel, Z'ha'dum? Surely not over my entirely IC actions and because I walked out in protest to the person you're defending, the channel administrator, sitting there and allowing you to repeatedly sling insults in a towering rage? In fact I was removed by none other than yourself, the only one in the channel who had a problem with me, because any time I was around you couldn't seem to control yourself. And yet you have the gall to sit there and accuse me of misconduct for getting angry -- against my better judgment, I confess -- that someone I thought of as a friend outside this game would actually blame me for your stone-casting.

I was in fact removed from the same IRC channel, despite never having any open conflicts in there. When I asked why, I received a response essentially along the lines of "joining Polaris = supporting OOC attacks", an assessment which was clearly wrong in my opinion based on my standards of self-conduct. However, I was not told to die, and was allowed to return to the channel, despite the fact that I'm pretty much convinced that Z'ha'dum despises me. I don't agree with what he said to you in the least, but I do think there's more to the story than you're willing to admit.

  3. Okay just my two pence on this ... many of the standards of conduct you were expecting from this "alliance" are established by none other than beacon of culture itself, the New Pacific Order. In the same sense, the definition of honour is also essentially defined by the NPO beyond these "OOC attacks" and the like which are probably against the ToS. From an objective position, I would say that it's not unreasonable for a group such as Vox Populi, with its terrorist and anarchist philosophy, to violate those standards.

  4. On behalf of the People's Republic of Chokan, Comrade Protector Kimura Katsumi would like to express our most heartfelt sympathy to the people of Zaine and all of Viridia. This truly is a tragic turn of events and a symbol of an increasingly frightening world.

  5. Okay, when I saw this I just needed to post here before you left.

I find it completely ironic and amusing that someone who is now sporting a Vox Populi alliance affiliation was the same person who said this to me:

I am as much a Pacifican with a mask, as without. Someone once said that one's true colors are visible to friends. Well it is apparent that, while we did, Katsumi did not believe us to be friends. I am ashamed to have called you a friend, when all along you deemed our finest ‘unworthy’.

    Very nice. :awesome:

Well good bye and good luck anyway. Oh and the obligatory "you'll be back they all come back" too.

  6. I am,I was there when he did it. You backed him to the hilt.

I was told that I backed him when he was doing it as well, despite being completely silent at that time (my usual "lurking" habit), and the fact that I never have or will support what Sponge did by releasing that conversation. I can't speak for Random or how he felt about it, but it does seem that people's memory of past events conveniently depart from reality sometimes, so I have my doubts here.

  7. Since Dilber was gone from GWII (Moo basically led us through that conflict) through spring 2007, you start by giving me credit for that. Ask someone who mattered during that time.

My involvement tapered off after the FAN War and creation of Ring Cycle/BLEU.

Which essentially admits to having little part in NPO's current diplomatic situation. The Continuum was officially formed in December if I remember correctly. Most other direct allies of NPO became such after the cessation of the Unjust War. So what are you taking credit for exactly just out of curiousity?

  8. For somebody who is still masked as NpO on the NPO forums instead of banned. You really should take your own advice and stop insulting those in Pacifica who you should be calling your comrades. Just sayin.

I fail to see how pointing out that the Orders going to war on opposing sides, which will inevitably weaken the Order as a whole, as previously stated by Ivan Moldavi, is insulting those in Pacifica. Furthermore, much of what I've said is based in analysis and not on who my friends or enemies are.

  9. This is very painful to read. I respect the opinions of a great deal of NPO members. However, this does not include Philosopher.

These wars are intristically linked whether you would like to admit to it or not. The timing is far too convenient to be a mere accident, and in fact knowing the methods in which alliance leaders communicate and the repeated preemptive strikes as well as Pacifica sitting in wait for Mushroom Kingdom's declaration, would not unreasonably lead to the presumption that these events were all in fact planned in coordination and in advance.

Instead you pretend this is nothing, especially not the largest war in terms of total nation strength in the history of the Cyberverse as well as the beginning of the destruction of the institution that is the Order as the result of our own doing. It's not just propaganda, it's bad propaganda, insulting to those in Polaris who you should be calling your comrades. This is something you should be ashamed of, and I hope one day you will realise that.

  10. Have you asked for our help or are you just looking for more ammunition. Also you are asking us to betray other allies to do this...lets see, what will happen if we do that...oh we would stop getting flack over the polar situation but we would still be the backstabbers...it solves nothing.

Pacifica has been called backstabbers multiple times. Remember FAN and their complaints about the peace treaty? Or GOONS and \m/ over the Initiative? Speaking from a purely objective position, those situations would be on the same level of obligation as the result of the one I proposed, whether or not that is inherently right or wrong.

However, Pacifica and Polaris were to be united under law into perpetuity, as I note from the text of the Ordinance of Order which has remained in my signature for nearly two months. One could theoretically "cancel" the Ordinance of Order but it is the eternal obligation of the Orders to work together for our mutual objective of peace, strength and prosperity, in defiance of the costs, and above mere treaties with alliances, which in fact renders the claim of "it solves nothing" to be quite untrue.

It would then seem to me that only lip service is being paid to Order unity at this time, without action, although beyond the scene is always a different story so I will not presume to know.

Of course, as a person who was called a traitor multiple times by several figures in Pacifican leadership for expressing verbal support for not mere allies but the entirety of the Order itself, this does not surprise me in the least.

  11. Actually many pacificans mourn the fact that we are not on Polar's side...however we did not have a treaty with them...

If given the option I would fight in defense of NpO as well as take on our current enemies in MK...but we dont have that option, our treaty obligations were there first, and while it is just a piece of paper instead of a bond of brotherhood, if we had defended polar now instead of honoring our treaties you would be yelling at us for that instead...

I have noticed that trend with all those that speak out against Pacifica...either way you will whine and complain about our politics...but one of these days you will find you cant have your cake and eat it to.

    See here's what you do:

    1. Announce you're leaving the Continuum and One Vision. Tell them that those who support Pacifica will do the same.

    2. Cancel treaties with MCXA

    3. Resign Ordinance of Order

    4. Declare war on MCXA

    5. ???

    6. Profit

The only thing stopping NPO from doing this is excuses really, considering they have more than enough power to enforce it and make it successful.

  12. Yes good luck in getting all your ghosts to fight, the mighty Monos Archein war machine marches on.

I'm sure that STA's twice as large nuke stock pile is going to hurt a lot you worse, especially in a war in which they are outnumbered.

  13. If you think someone is cheating then report them to the moderators. This is the second or third time that nation has been brought up in this thread and to be honest I think that before you go and pronounce sentence you should let the people whose job it is to take care of these things look into it. You aren't a mod and you don't know if that nation is a multi or not, so stop pretending like you do.

Also, Corinan - do you think that your being let back into the fold has anything to do with your nearly five years with NPO? I don't think that the average rank and file member would get the same consideration you do.

Not to mention Z'ha'dum and other Imperial Officers explicitly said that if it was up to them, he would not have been allowed to return to NPO ever again. I fear for the possibility that Bakunin's Dream ever becomes Emperor of the NPO, although it will be amusing and ironic to see an "anarchist" OOC and supposedly IC, in charge of a centralised power structure.

Also it's funny to see Speer speaking in support of the NPO so fervently, when a large number of us were actively looking for an excuse privately to Article III him for supposedly being a RL Nazi.

  14. Second, I am not speaking of "playing by the rules." Play by whatever rules you damn well please. However, I find the strategies of Vox Populi ineffective. You could probably accomplish much more by playing more traditionally...rising up to alliance leadership positions, signing MDPs, etc.

You're kidding right? Regardless of whether they're ultimately right or wrong in their notions, if they were playing that way, they would be Ephie clones running Andromeda look alikes.

  15. Do you even know wtf you are talking about? Don't go with the flow "amigo", learn to have your own thoughts and arguments.

I don't mean to pick on one of my Pacifican comrades, but hearing this coming from you of all people is hilarious. The same MariMassa who tells people to follow orders without question or explanation, and has stated multiple times it's because the NPO is a dictatorship, is telling someone to have their own thoughts and arguments.
