It's nice to think your membership had different reasons, but your government was still your government. That's the decision making body in your alliance. If they say that's their intent, then that's what the alliance's intention as a whole is.

That's because regardless of how many times you keep repeating it, the proof still exists that it did happen. When I've seen MI6 actually address that in some way that isn't just "pfft, everyone does that and it's totally normal", then fine. We can start building trust that doesn't exist right now.

So by that same line of logic, Petro spying on MI6 reflects upon all of Seppuku right? Even if Petro leaves gov, goes to another alliance, Seppeku is still the alliance to be held responsible since Petro was in gov.

Does that make sense to you?

  2.

This probably isn't a question for this thread, but why do the likes of New Polar Order and all those other alliances remain in that sphere. I know why the current power remain in their spheres, for fear of getting rolled. However if you're getting rolled every year and you exist in the same sphere, idk it seems kinda repetitive.

Other than that, the general theme of the arguments in this thread seems to be MI6's response to everything. Now MI6 is getting rolled and they know they're getting rolled and probably for the same reasons they got rolled before.

On an ending note, CN is a horrible broken mess.

I can't and wont presume to speak for Polar but I can assume it is because Polar, MI6 and so on are deliberately kept outside the power structure so as to provide a "target" allowing certain alliances to create coalitions with a common purposes. I am sure retired daj (best daj) will be along shortly to expand upon why Polar remains where it remains but I would guess because Polar appear to be one of the more "principled" AAs in this realm along with their traditional allies.

The only time it really changes is when the main power structure fractures and former allies turned enemies start looking for new allies to potentially defend against and attack their former allies. Or if an alliance decides to dramatically change its FA direction and reaches out to a previously untapped part of the web so as to improve its own standing against a potential threat.

It has happened a few times and the cycle always repeats.

  3. The likelyhood is the problem though, raiding anyone besides Pax leads to major diplomatic issues, whether immediately or in a few months once we've beaten down Polar or MI6 or whoever the $%&@.

Starters first with the main course to come later I presume.

  4.

There were multiple issues and the one he's referring was just the last one.

We haven't really needed to spread anything as plenty has come out that was even corroborated in this topic.

You might want to reflect on why your former allies keep "undermining" you. The thing is, even though they're not well-liked in many quarters they at least don't have the victim attitude your posts exhibits here.

Multiple issues..correct. MI6 on multiple occasions called you and umbrella out for openly favouring Aztec over TOP and MI6 (who you were still allied to at the time). Indeed, you actively plotted to bring about a series of events which would see yourself and your new allies in Aztec benefit directly at the expense of both TOP and MI6.

Or better yet, in your own words

14:29 Charles_Stuart if you were worried about both sets of allies being conflicted and past the point of no return, why oppose a treaty that would have cooled things down?
    14:30 Charles_Stuart im genuinely curious
14:30 Roquentin the intent of top-sparta/NPO was questionable and seen as potentially aggressive towards AZTEC due to what sparta had done along with other hints of it
14:31 Roquentin so AZTEC lost faith in relations with XX/TOP
14:31 Roquentin and more with TOP after that
14:31 Charles_Stuart last I checked, MI6 and TOP were allied to you, umbrella
    14:31 Charles_Stuart not Aztec
14:31 Charles_Stuart yet you opposed the treaty to placate aztec?
    14:31 Charles_Stuart or did I misread it?
14:32 Charles_Stuart and aztec had lost faith in relations with TOP long before that
14:33 Charles_Stuart my point stands, why did umbrella oppose a treaty that would have seen our entire sphere at that time benefit? because based on what you just said, you deliberately favoured relations with aztec over both MI6 and TOP
14:33 Roquentin we opposed the treaty at first because sparta-top hadn't been signed and there was concern about that   and then when it went ahead anyway in terms of the two offering, we opposed it because we knew it'd create an arms race scenario where you wouldn't win
14:34 Charles_Stuart you wouldnt win, who are you referring to as you?
    14:34 Roquentin well
    14:34 Roquentin your corner top/sparta/mi6

we knew it'd create an arms race scenario where you wouldn't win

So instead you deliberately ensured that TOP, sparta and MI6 would never and could never win so as to make sure that Aztec and by extension umbrella would be on the winning side.

So, still want to scoff at the notion that MI6 were "undermined"? Or want to raise the stakes higher and do a "logs are fake" response?

  5. I think I'll just stick to accusing people of unidentified spy attacks like everyone else.

I was going to say, if the spy attack was a failure then you need to look at Petro. That is his area of expertise.

And no one is accusing Petro of an unidentified spy op without credible evidence or suspicion. He was busted for a failed spy op and openly alluded to performing others. The reasons for suspecting Petro's involvement are far more credible than any suspicions you have in regards to the spy op you just suffered.

  6. If you want a contrast between MI6's actions in this thread and a reaction that actually takes more spine, Non Grata is currently fighting a rogue that we know is from a certain well-known alliance that has not posted in this thread. Did we make a OWF callout thread and start throwing out accusations and insults everywhere? No, we informed one ally that we were fighting a rogue that they are peripherally tied to and we are taking care of it ourselves without whining to the community at large (besides this but I'm the whiner diner).

Why? Because we aren't scared to do our business. MI6 is trying to get the community to take action when they are afraid to. No one is going to take care of this for you MI6. Grow up and stand on your own two feet.

To be frank, I didn't take the OP as a whine. More of a call out to be honest and I certainly didn't see MI6 asking for community action, I would assume they know only too well it would be a futile and lost cause.

  7. TBF, I think MI6 is well deserving of the attention. Some late karma for all their poached eggs.

But even if Sengoku is in the wrong in this situation, MI6 is a dead trend. If I were MI6, I'd simply leave and find an alliance that isn't entirely !@#$.

Clearly all of MI6 should join IRON.

  8.

I'm starting to see why Petro could find no intelligence in his spy op.

The question was has Mi6 ever tried to ally an alliance while planning to roll them.  That you failed to achieve your duplicitous goal doesn't make your alliance less of a shady honor-less character, just one without skill as well.

Do tell, enlighten everyone who is failing to understand exactly what you are attempting to refer to.

  9.

Is grammar this hard for mi6?

Just to be clear, at no time in Sengoku's history have we offered a treaty to an alliance to make it easier to roll their bloc mates.

It is pretty amazing that such bright FA minds cannot understand the pronouns *their* versus what would have to be *our* based upon your inability to understand.

It is ok, Seppuku doesn't seem to understand the use of plural nouns so it evens itself out. We, guys, warchests etc.

    Don't fret.

  10.

This would be a really interesting criticism if it wasn't coming from someone who entered last war late and left early. Also I was there for something a lot like Equilibrium. It was called Equilibrium.

Yes, I remember a certain log involving you if I remember correctly. It was rather entertaining.

Who MI6 allows on their AA isn't anyone else's business.. until it is. Allowing someone to sit on your AA as an approved member unfortunately means that their actions reflect on your alliance as long as they are there. It is what it is and as far as everyone else is concerned, myth is a member of MI6.

By this same logic, do the actions of Petro reflect upon Seppuku? Petro who is a member of Seppuku's executive government last I checked.

  11. Tbh it's pretty easy to make an assumption of what is happening here already. Also it's easy to know that I don't take words of people accusing others without substantial proof. So yeah I will keep making a point of it. If you don't like by all means don't listen or respond it's not exactly hard. No one is forcing you to reply.

Let me actually try to understand this, you are accusing one of the most hated AAs in Bob who are most likely going to curbstomped sometime in the next month or two (who also have spent most of this year trying to prevent mentioned rolling) of not only fabricating a log and claiming it comes from a Seppeku gov member but also then creating a public call out thread using the fabricated log as the basis for the call out?

And that makes logical sense to you? So in the absence of substantial proof you will then instead believe a totally moronic and illogical chain of events.

Please tell me whose Kool-Aid you have been sipping. You need to stop and put the Kool-Aid down.

  12. Okay so what we know here just so I'm all caught up and stuff.

    1. Sengoku mainly petro spy chaunce
    2. Myth spies sengoku back mainly petro.
    3. MI6 accuse sengoku of multiple attacks with no evidence.
    4. MI6 moan on owf and claim to have evidence.
    5. Asked by peanut gallery to produce evidence.
    6. Proceed to type a random log of whatever they want into a owf post and expect it to be taken as evidence.

I believe that is me being correct right? Now the only facts we have here people are petro spied chaunce followed by myth spying petro. I hate to be the guy that bursts your bubble but the 'post' random log that could be easily typed and faked, tends to not really fly. Just a tip you want people to believe you come here with strong evidence and actually have screenshots of stuff that back up your claims.

I hope I got that right because it seems that pretty straight forward. Good day.

Why didn't you just type "I don't like MI6 therefore log is fake"?

Would have saved yourself a couple of minutes instead of wasting your time writing some faux justification.

  13. You've found out, for it is I who am the inactive husk. I am the dead weight of which you speak. But despite all your effort, you are simply not strong enough to push me off. Nor shall I move of my own accord. I shall bury you in my useless girth. I am this world's bane, and I do it through giving a lick.

So I suggest you do something about it, because I sure won't.

I wish we had a like this post function.

  14. I feel like the obvious way to prove those logs are real is for MI6 to post all their war chests and we as a community can come to an agreement as to whether they're nice or not. If they are indeed nice, then you got us, Petro did it. If they're not, it's clearly fake logs.

Or Petro and friends could just keep spying.

  15.

So, wait, mi6 is the one with no honor?  These topics turn fast.

And while, that matches interactions with their old government, I had high hopes for this one after our great discussion last night.

<Petro> we wanted to see warchests, you guys have them

    <Petro> nice ones btw

    Plurals ftw.

You were saying? I didn't hear you before over the sound of fecal matter dripping from that orifice you label a mouth.

    Edit: damn you merger. :P
