  1. LIVINGSTONE OCTOBER 11, 2013 Afrikaner Solidariteit (Afrikaner Solidarity) is a Rhodesian trade union within the Christian tradition of unionism. This differentiates it from the majority of other trade unions that have socialist ideologies. The main task of Afrikaner Solidariteit is to give voice to the Afrikaner minority of Rhodesia Nyasaland whose members have long served in the institutions of the former Republic of Transvaal, setting up the institutional and political basis for the establishment of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland. Therefore, the recent reforms and rise to power of the Afrikaner minority have triggered a renewed sense of duty towards the new Federal Republic that many afrikaners see as their true and last homeland in South Africa. After a number of initiatives, meetings and demonstrations in support of afrikaner pride and rule, the General Secretary of Afrikaner Solidariteit announced that a sum of 9.000.000 Rhodesian Pounds has been collected and donated to the government of Rhodesia Nyasaland. Afrikaner Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd expressed strong gratitude to Afrikaner Solidariteit and promised to defend the interests of afrikaners and Rhodesia Nyasaland as a whole. "We cannot ignore, or deny, the role of Afrikaners in the establishment of this Republic. Many of us, including myself, came from the territories of our dear Transvaaler homeland. But today we are here, we are united by our common afrikaner and christian heritage. Our tasks, as i have stated before, are unity, prosperity and happiness to Rhodesia and none of these tasks can be achieved unless we look into our past and use it as a source to shape our future. We must not forget where we came from, we will always pursue the enlightened views of Staatspresident Botha, and we will protect his legacy and the legacy of Transvaal, as far as humanly possible. Rhodesië-Njassaland ewig voorwarts!" said Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd in a public address during the official ceremony. Shortly after the speech, a military band played the instrumental version "Die Stem van Suid-Afrika", the National Anthem of the former Republic of Transvaal. Political analysts consider this event as the first step of "The Afrikaner tide".
  2. OCTOBER 10, 2013 DECREE #6) National Holidays Act - The secular holidays of Rhodesia Nyasaland are compiled and reorganized as follows: February 5 - Staatspresident Botha Memorial Day September 22 - Rhodesia Nyasaland Independence Day September 26 - Rhodesia Nyasaland National Security Forces Day October 3 - Rhodesia Nyasaland Environment Day December 26 - Transvaal Afrikaners Republiek Memorial
  3. BREAKING NEWS - Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd has been spotted all alone by himself near the southern border of Rhodesia. Border patrol officers who spotted the Prime Minister said they clearly heard him screaming and shouting "HALLO!! IS DAAR IEMAND?" ("Hello, is there anybody out there?"). After a two hours negotiation, the Prime Minister walked down his tree and asked if any of the officers had biltong.
  4. The Federal Government of Rhodesia Nyasaland approved Decree #5 which consists of the First Addendum and the Second Addendum merged into the "National Symbols Act", approved on October 8, 2013. DECREE #5) National Symbols Act - The national flag of Rhodesia Nyasaland consists of three horizontal blue-white-orange stripes bearing the superimposed Rhodesian Coat of Arms. The national Coat of Arms of Rhodesia Nyasaland consists of the historical Rhodesian seal (Republic of Rhodesia 1969-1979; 2009-2010) with the Voortrekkers Ox-wagon Shield in the center. (1) In absence of the aforementioned Flag and Coat of Arms, the national flag of South Africa shall represent both National Symbols.
  5. Indeed! ^_^ The Prinsenvlag represents the history of Rhodesia under Transvaal. The Voortrekkers Wagon Shield represents the role of the Afrikaner and Anglo-British people in South Africa as a whole, while the Coat of Arms is the coat of arms of Rhodesia (1965-1979) modified to fit in the Wagon Shield and represents Rhodesians and Indigenous alike (the last ones are represented by the "Zimbabwe Bird").
  6. Pursuing the effort to give Rhodesia Nyasaland a proper constitution, the Federal Government presided by Hendrik Verwoerd formed the Rhodesian National Constitution Committee with the task of registering and compiling all federal decrees into one unified chart. The Federal Assembly hereby approved the following decrees, setting up the basic laws to draft the constitution in the future: OCTOBER 7, 2013 DECREE #1) The Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland is a Federal Parliamentary Republic and its politics work in the frameworks of a multiparty state. DECREE #2) The Official Languages of Rhodesia Nyasaland are English and Afrikaans. (1) All citizens irrespective of color and race can take part to political activities provided they can fluently speak and write in English or Afrikaans. (2) The official long-form name of Rhodesia Nyasaland shall be displayed both in English (Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland) and Afrikaans (Federale Republiek van Rhodesië-Njassaland) DECREE #3) The State President of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland has the authority to declare Martial Law and exercise full authoritative power over the Nation. DECREE #4) The laws of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland protect the rights of all ethnical and racial groups in Rhodesia Nyasaland and firmly prohibit the application of apartheid or any racial segregation policies. [MERGED IN DECREE #5] First Addendum) The current Flag of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland is replaced by the Prinsenvlag consisting of three horizontal bands: orange, white and blue and the superimposed Coat of Arms. OCTOBER 10, 2013 DECREE #6) National Holidays Act - The secular holidays of Rhodesia Nyasaland are compiled and reorganized as follows: February 5 - Staatspresident Botha Memorial Day September 22 - Rhodesia Nyasaland Independence Day September 26 - Rhodesia Nyasaland National Security Forces Day October 3 - Rhodesia Nyasaland Environment Day December 26 - Transvaal Afrikaners Republiek Memorial Signed in Livingstone, State President Ian Smith Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd Speaker of the Federal Assembly Balthazar Vorster
  7. The Government of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland is deeply disturbed by the news coming from Australia and hopes the International Community's efforts will successfully restore peace and order.
  8. LIVINGSTONE OCTOBER 7, Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd, Afrikaner Nasionale Party After a two hours meeting with all representatives of Rhodesia Nyasaland's political parties, State President Ian Smith accepted the offer of Afrikaner National Party's leader, Hendrik Verwoerd, who rapidly secured the 33 seats majority in the Federal Assembly. "By the authority vested in me, i hereby appoint Hendrik Verwoerd the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland." said State President Ian Smith during the speech, broadcasted on RADIO-RHODESIA NYASALAND. Hendrik Verwoerd will give up the office of the Speaker of the Federal Assembly, due to the conflicting nature with the office of Prime Minister, but will keep the office of the Interim Governor of Nyasaland for the time being. The new Speaker of the Federal Assembly is Balthazar Vorster, a former Rhodesian Front MP who merged into the Afrikaner National Party. "What is our future? Now i want to make quite sure, that i will not be misunderstood. I am not using this occasion as a platform for putting forward ideas other than unity, prosperity and happiness to Rhodesia. I see our Republic, the Republic of the Afrikaners, British Rhodesians and indigenous alike. Governing what is the heritage of the Federal Repubic of Transvaal is big responsibility, so let us join in this effort to maintain a high standard of civilization, and guarantee the well being of our people." said Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd in his speech to the Federal Assembly.
  9. Pieter van Der Byl Of all the delegates, Pieter van Der Byl probably looks like the most embarassing and most uncapable. He is followed by a functionary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who carefully instructed him upon setting foot on Athenian soil. "No drugs, no smuggling, no human trafficking, no abuse of alcohol and ANY.. i said ANY illegal or legal substances. You will stay away from brothels, you will stay away from anything that vaguely relates to prostitution. No nightclubs, no strip clubs, and no casinos. Orders of the State President, Mr van Der Byl." While carefully listening to these words, Minister van Der Byl steps out the 40 years old Air Rhodesia Vickers Viscount airplane and is quickly escorted to the meeting. He seems to be astonished by all the pieces of arts and cultures around him. Hell.. he shared offices with everyone back in Rhodesia before the completion of the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, he is barely conscious of his sorroundings. He slowly takes a seat in the Central Room, looking at the ceiling and the walls like a kid watching fireworks for the first time. He politely nods "Pieter van Der Byl, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland, at your service."
  10. LIVINGSTONE In the aftermath of the vote of no confidence the scenario in the Federal Assembly has changed. The once 40 seats strong Rhodesian Front now holds only 17 seats out of 65, while the newly formed Afrikaner Nasionale Party van Federal Republiek van Rhodesië-Njassaland obtained a total of 33 seats. A scenario that potentially gives Hendrik Verwoerd the majority to form a new executive cabiner. As for the seats reserved for the indigenous, the Rhodesia African National Council still holds all 15 seats. Its leaders confirmed they will support the actions of the next government, as long as they will pursue the interests of the black minority as much as the interests of whites.
  11. LIVINGSTONE OCTOBER 6, 2013 RADIO-RHODESIA NYASALAND interrupts this broadcast to bring you an important announcement. Few minutes ago the Government presided by Prime Minister John Wrathall (Rhodesian Front) lost the majority in the Federal Assembly as Hendrik Verwoerd's Afrikaner National Party and the Rhodesia African National Congress overwhelmed the Rhodesian Front during the vote of no confidence. After the voting, the remnants of the Rhodesian Front insulted and attacked the Ministers and the MPs who "betrayed" the Rhodesian Front and merged into the Afrikaner National Party. Security staff had to break up the fight, while reports confirm insults were directed to Hendrik van Verwoerd, who is also the Speaker of the Federal Assembly. According to the official transcript, the fight erupted in the seats of the now shattered Rhodesian Front, between loyalist and separatists who merged into the Afrikaner National Party. Speaker of the Federal Assembly Hendrik Verwoerd then interrupted the debate and asked the security staff to restore order and decency in the room. Now, with the government officially beaten and deprived of its parliamentary majority, it's up to the State President. State President Ian Smith can now call elections, or meet all the leaders of Rhodesia Nyasaland's political parties and figure out if anyone has the will, and the numbers, to form a new executive cabinet.
  12. LIVINGSTONE OCTOBER 6, 2013 Rhodesian Front's government in Rhodesia Nyasaland is at stake as Hendrik Verwoerd, Speaker of the Federal Assembly and Interim Governor General of Nyasaland, announced the formation of a new political party. The formation of the Afrikaner National Party of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland led the Rhodesian Front to face an unprecedented schism, undermining their overwhelming majority in the 65 seats Federal Assembly. The Rhodesian Front currently holds 40 seats as opposed to the 15 seats of the Rhodesia African National Congress and 10 seats of the Afrikaner National Party. To undermine the government majority, the opposition seeks to obtain 33 votes in the Federal Assembly. With an unexpected move the Rhodesia National African Congress decided to support the Afrikaner National Party and force the State President to dissolve the Federal Assembly and call for new elections. At least 17 deputies of the Rhodesian Front have expressed their will to merge into the Afrikaner National Party, altering the political balance of the Rhodesian legislative assembly. The new scenario predicts an Afrikaner National Party with 27 seats, a Rhodesia African National Congress with 15 seats and, for the first time, a weakened Rhodesian Front with only 23 MPs. In the following hours, the Federal Assembly will vote for the very survival of the Rhodesian Front-led executive.
  13. LIVINGSTONE OCTOBER 6, 2013 Hendrik Verwoerd, Speaker of the Federal Assembly, Interim Governor General of Nyasaland and President of the Afrikaner Nasionale Party van Federale Republiek van Rhodesië-Njassaland Rumors of the merge of the Rhodesya-Nyasaland Action Party with the Nyasaland United Front have been confirmed by the words of the Speaker of the Federal Assembly and Interim Governor of Nyasaland Hendrik Verwoerd, who announced the formation of a new political party to represent the Afrikaner minority (1548 according to the last census data, 23.9% of the total population) in the country. The new movement will be known as Afrikaner Nasionale Party van Federale Republiek van Rhodesië-Njassaland or Afrikaner National Party of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia-Nyasaland and is expected to gain at least 10 seats out of 65 given the current situation in the Federal Assembly. The Federal Government presided by Prime Minister John Wrathall, leader of the Rhodesian Front (which currently holds 40 seats in the Federal Assembly) believes the new Afrikaner National Party will never come to terms with the Rhodesia African National Congress (15 seats) to undermine the executive led by the Rhodesian Front. However, at least three Ministers and several Rhodesian Front deputies have expressed the will to leave the majority and join the National Party. Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Henrik Hertzog, and Minister of Interior and State Security, Phillip van Heerden, have confirmed the decision, leading to a de-facto schism in the Rhodesian Front. Minister of Foreign Affairs Pieter van der Byl during the diplomatic mission in Athens said "no comment". He recently recovered from an overdose of barbiturates and alcohol. 15. Speaker of the Federal Assembly and Interim Governor General of Nyasaland, Hendrik Verwoerd The incorruptible bureaucrat. The stern administrator. According to the separation of powers, Verwoerd is the third most powerful man of the Federal Republic. But his dual-role makes him the second most influential character of Rhodesia Nyasaland, after State President Ian Smith. He assumed the dual-role on September 22, 2013, thanks to his long experience in politics and bureaucracy. Therefore, he has no voters to satisfy and this aspect gives him a fair autonomy and independence from political and idelogical barriers. While he considers himself a national conservative, he never clearly expressed support for any of the political parties of Rhodesia. On October 6, 2013, Verwoerd announced the formation of a new political party from the ashes of the Rhodesia-Nyasaland Action Party and the Nyasaland United Front. The new political movement is known as Afrikaner Nasionale Party van Federale Republiek Rhodesië-Njassaland.
  16. Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Henrik Hertzog released today the most recent census results, which shows the complex and intricated multi-racial society of Rhodesia Nyasaland. 2013 CENSUS DATA - as of October 5, 2013 TOTAL POPULATION: 6,451 WHITE RHODESIANS = 3,309 (51.3%) 1725 Anglo-British Rhodesians (26,7%) 1548 Afrikaaners (23,9%) BLACK RHODESIANS = 3142 (48,7%) 1066 Shona (16,5%) 832 Ndele (12,8%) 789 Coloureds (12,2%) 455 Malawians (7,1%)

While we fully recognize the protection duties and efforts of the Athenian Federation over South Africa, we would like to claim the jurisdiction and authority on the region formerly known as "Southern Rhodesia" (Zimbabwe) as it represents one of the three national and historical cores of our nation with the other two being Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland. 18. Victoria Falls, one of Rhodesia's most famous sights. RADIO RHODESIA NYASALAND - The Federal Government passed a bill to reduce CO2 emissions a few days after the completion of three new heavy industry complexes by foreign construction firms. The bill sets limits and regulations to heavy industry in order to reduce the impact on Rhodesia Nyasaland's ecosystem. Many environmentalist groups sent letters of protest against the heavy industrialization of the country and the Federal Assembly agreed with the Government to set new rules in order to limit the impact on the environment and pollution. "We must preserve our environment in order to guarantee a healthy and pollution-free existance to our citizens and our children. The logics of unregulated exploitation of soil and natural resources will never be supported or encouraged by the Rhodesian administration. Therefore we welcome the suggestions of environmentalist groups and commit ourself to the protection of Rhodesia's environment." Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Edward Dawson said in a statement. The Federal Assembly declared October 3 a national holiday as "Rhodesia Nyasaland Environment Day" The Federal Government also established the Federal Aid Commission in order to attract foreign investors and guarantee social and economic developments for the benefit of the people and the country as a whole.

  22. The coat of arms of the Rhodesian Security Forces LIVINGSTONE The Federal Government officially created the military of Rhodesia-Nyasaland under the name "Rhodesian Security Forces". At the moment, the only branch of the rhodesian military is the "Rhodesian Army", consisting of the 1st Rhodesian African Rifles regiment. 23. You forgot to add southern Mawali in the map :3, that's province 11 and 12 here, i have permission to claim those aswell.
  24. State President of the Federal Republic of Rhodesia Nyasaland, Ian Douglas Smith Ian Smith is the heart and mind of Rhodesia. Rhodesia is an idea. The idea of Rhodesia is a dream. Smith dreams of an efficient and democratic country where everyone has the same opportunities, irrespective of color and ideas. He has been criticized for his "mostly white" government cabinet and therefore accused of racism against the black population of Rhodesia Nyasaland. His ancestors were british settlers who moved in Northern Rhodesia from Transvaal in the late 19th Century. He considers himself a stern conservative and a well educated gentleman. He rarely appears in public and his announcements are broadcasted trought RADIO-RHODESIA NYASALAND. However, he represents the soul of the nation, the man behind the idea. He is Rhodesia and Rhodesia is him. "I certainly don't consider myself a racist. I live so close to the problem of racialism that I think am conscious of the need to ensure that I'm not racist. And as a pragmatic person I can assure you that I am not a racist, it would be impossible for me to go on and live in this country I believe, due to the part I am playing, if I was a racist. All that we say is let's have some standards of decency, of behavior. Whatever your color is: you will be able to participate." [...] "We have standards, you see? I think we must continue to strife for the best government in Rhodesia. And this is the system in Rhodesia: it is possible for anybody to come in and participate. We want the best Government, not necessarily a black government, not necessarily a white government. The voting is exactly the same for the black man as for the white man. Anyone can come into parliament provided he has the abilities, provided he can earn the position, irrespective of color." The foreign press may question the State President at any time in this space.
  25. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends the best wishes to the Paraguayan government on behalf of Rhodesia Nyasaland and will send Christian Coetzee as ambassador of the Federal Republic in Paraguay. Signed, Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
