  1. Because no other video game console in history is composed of "computer components" right?

Oh but these are "enhanced" whatever that's supposed to mean.

Tell me one reason why I should get a PS4 over a Steam Box, a new PC, or, hell, even a Wii U - At least Nintendo is doing something interesting with the new console instead of just pumping as much juice as they can into an old formula. At least it does stuff that I can't do better and cheaper on a PC (at least until their fancy new controller gets hacked). You're telling me that Sony learned nothing from the PS3?

No I am telling you that nothing, even some of todays top computers compare to the PS4, from a marketing and in some cases, graphics standpoint. The enhanced components of the PS4 are simply that. Better Componets = Better System.

As for buying this over a PC, Steam or WiiU is because those are either more expensive or not comparable graphics wise.

Lets take the PC first, OK IF you have a good amount of cash, lets say $600, you take that, you go buy a reall good computer. OK, then, in many cases, you have to get attachments, add ons and upgrades immediatelly. For the sake of this arguement, you get $100 in add ons and the such. Now you have to get High speed internet, Lets say $40 a month.

So your INITIAL PC cost is $740.

Now lets take the PS4. The console price is $300. Now lets add in 3 games, 60 dollars each, we are only up to $540. You then purchase a second controller, adding on tot he one you got witht he console. You are now up to only $600, the price of the PC alone. Then lets add in the $40 for the Internet. So $640 dollars. AND that is if you want the internet AND a Second Controller AND 3 games.

AND I didnt even factor in updates and new accesories OR games for the PC. PLUS you get a more quality product with the PS4.

  2. First of all, Halo wasn't a very good game at all. The majority of the popularity from Halo stemmed from how connected it was to online play in Halo 2. Voice messages, private games with some customization (later expanded to Forge in Halo 3), and superior matchmaking. All of the features surrounding the game surpassed the norm at the time, while I found the game itself quite average.

Also, the trailer didn't really tell anything besides the typical spiel designed to excite with little actual substance. Meh, I'm keeping neutral until I actually see something. That was just 4 minutes of developers talking vaguely (as they usually do) about how revolutionary and uncharted their game is, and how they want their game to be fun (no duh). I almost never form my opinion on trailers anymore, it's just too misleading.

    My depressing 2 cents :P

I kinda have to agree. Halo though is one of the greatest selling franchises of ALL TIME. Apparently Bungie knows something about making games.

  3. My xbox has a 320GB hard drive

Yeah well, the 720 will have a ridiculous 1 TB HD. I dont think anyone will ever run out of memory. Except everyone who decides to install there games to their console.

That is another thing they may leave out of the 720. In case you didnt know, you can install games to your 360 HD and take them anywhere. They may leave it off this time because people could just rent a game for 5 bucks, install the game onto there console and have gotten the game for $5 instead of $60. Personally, I want them to bring it back because I bring my HD over to some of my friends house because I have like 20 games ont here they dont have so it is very useful.

  4. I seriously hope you are referring to the last 2 video games and not the series as a whole right there because if so you should just delete this blog, unplug your internet, and never EVER come back.

I am referring to the alst two games, in particular Warfighter. It really was a cheap knock off of the game. The games before that where good not great and where why FPS games became huge.

  5. Medal of Honor was really good in the beginning, at least I found it to be enjoyable, but it seems like they quickly began losing momentum and couldn't quite keep up.

BF3 was ok, however I am still somewhat of a stickler for good single player missions. A bit off topic, but I'd love to see the Red Dead series continue.

If you like Red Dead, go get Farcry 3. It has the Open World Expierence and you have the ability to hunt, fight and craft along with many other side missions, plus the storyline.

  6. Woah, look out guys, the 720 has a one terabyte hard drive and wireless controller recharger.

Meanwhile, system building just gets better and better, the core components (GPU/CPU) more and more powerful for less and less money.

I dont hear of computers featuring a graphic engine that not only is lifelike, has a customization level, from a development standpoint, matched by nothing. I dont hear of computer games featuring lifelike graphics. A leaked video of the 720, when zoomed in on, you can clearly see hair folicles, each eyelash and every bead of sweat. I dont think the PC does that.
