admin needs to update the site to keep up to date with times.
With the diverse user base of a game like this there will be lots of certificate chain issues which means lots of whining from users which means
extra headaches - plus it costs dollars to have a real certificate, plus it adds to the server load ( which already has dismal response time at certain
points of the day )...
Or ignore the completely useless extra burden since there is nothing here to secure. It is like putting a padlock on a portajohn...

Comically Balin has been a tech dealer for nearly 1000 days - all the way back to his days with TCSS - with many deals done between him and Old Guard. It appears he only took on new tech buyers when Old Guard shut down our deals. And it looks like they were straight up money for tech deals - all started before any war declared. Simple tech repayment - easily identified.

Being top of the mountain is fine and all but at some point the mountain becomes a hill, then a heap, they something akin to a mound.
And even if you do all of this wonderment, at what point will you decide you all no longer want to share ( seems like a bunch of folks who willingly broke one treaty would have no problem just abandoning others ).

As a token of our friendship and gratitude for all of the recent kindness Old Guard would like to offer up one of our ancient recipes to help fire up this new endeavor of yours. May these bring you as much joy as they have brought us.
Best Cocoa Brownies
10 tablespoons (140 grams) unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups (250 grams) granulated sugar
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (65 grams, may vary by brands) unsweetened cocoa powder (natural or Dutch-process)
1/4 teaspoon salt (or a heaping 1/4 teaspoon flaky salt, as I used)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs, cold
1/2 cup (65 grams) all-purpose flour
2/3 cup (75 grams) walnut or pecan pieces (optional)
Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat the oven to 325°F. Line the bottom and sides of an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang on two opposite sides.Combine the butter, sugar, cocoa, and salt in a medium heatproof bowl and melt the butter with the cocoa in a microwave ( 15 seconds at a time ). Stir from time to time until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth and hot enough that you want to remove your finger fairly quickly after dipping it in to test.
Set the bowl aside briefly until the mixture is only warm, not hot. It looks fairly gritty at this point, but don’t fret — it smooths out once the eggs and flour are added.
Stir in the vanilla with a wooden spoon. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring vigorously after each one. When the batter looks thick, shiny, and well blended, add the flour and stir until you cannot see it any longer, then beat vigorously for 40 strokes with the wooden spoon or a rubber spatula. Stir in the nuts, if using. Spread evenly in the lined pan.
Bake until a toothpick plunged into the center emerges slightly moist with batter, 30 to 35 minutes.
Let cool completely on a rack. (I go further and throw mine in the fridge or freezer for a while; it’s the only way I can get them to cut with clean lines.)
Lift up the ends of the parchment or foil liner, and transfer the brownies to a cutting board. Cut into 16 or 25 squares.

You still have over 30k tech. At that stage, I was also mainly doing damage with nukes (and aircraft), whilst my damage output from ground attacks was relatively small (although I didn't turtle during this war at all). The situation gradually changed as my tech level dropped. During the last 9 months I have been fighting in the middle tier and conventional damage contributes a lot to my damage output.
No offense, Bones was a raging headcase, but I have a lot of respect for the commitment you folks have shown for your cause. I wonder if we will be able to show that same commitment.
I am doing the modified turtle now - nuke, air, cm and naval attacks for XP - spy attacks I kill as many generals and screw with as many collections as possible. I wonder how much XP I have removed from the game so far, between assassinations and folks selling off their generals before I get them. I really take minimal tech damage every day so I suspect I as I fall through the tiers I will be able to sustain my tech a bit longer and I can reach easier spy targets as my range gets to softer targets. In some respects it is quite liberating now that the uppers can no longer do a thing to me. Is just another side of the card.

No, Old Guard does not have a program of pumping up their upper tier nations through tech slaves nor have we built up our nations with land farming our own nations, we have been quite pedestrian in our nation building - fair tech deals with allies and others - putting our money and tech into the hands of friends in need. We don't raid nor do we involve ourselves in color politics.
As far as our war ability...I suspect you really haven't looked at the damage many of our nations have done. Yes, you will, due to your massive numbers, beat us down to cinders - that takes no skill or cunning - and if that bring you joy, then enjoy.
What you simply do not understand is there is no winning nor losing in this game. If you could say anyone won, that would be the doombirds years ago. From my perspective however, we have lost. Our desire in this political simulator was to work out issues without conflict where possible, and in this instance, we were unable to do so.
But, we did stick with our friends, knowing the future and knowing you and Umbrella were coming and if that is losing, then I will proudly carry the moniker.

As far as KoRT - I know nothing about them - I simply had a tech deal with one nation. That is the entirety of what I know about them. I know even less about you folks - honestly I already know where this conflict ends and it simply is and I am okay with it.
However, when you have had that chance to self reflect later, I am serious in the offer to help. Look me up.

Perhaps it is an overinflated sense of meaningfulness. Not everything is entirely rigid and stiff, black and white. There is flexibility and hues to the colors. There is always context to life, what 'must be' does not necessarily mean 'must be always now and forever'.
On one hand that sense of responsibility and accountability seems like something to strive for, but on the other hand it also seems like you are completely unimaginative, unthinking and unable to formulate a decision on your own without guidance.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step, so good for you. I suspect with some perspective you can find yourself clear of all of this. It is important to come to terms with why you are this way - recognizing the why might help you understand how to change. I would be happy to help anyway I can.

You are assuming that anyone even noticed the tech deal besides some overly intense dude watching every move that anyone makes like some creepy stalker type. Obviously I didn't notice, I doubt KoRT noticed and quite frankly you folks didn't notice for 13 days ( or you spent 13 days planning your retribution or 12 days planning and one day writing the DOW which was itself nicely written ).
If that was the crack in the armor you were waiting for to get to KoRT, it makes you folks seem all the more sad.

Seems like a good arrangement - a couple of quick wars that don't really hurt the uppers and then with everyone out of range they can just sit it out and keep growing their tech and land. No need to worry about peace as leadership is never really in jeopardy.
So in essence it is all good as long as the upper tier keeps the tech flowing and the lower tiers handle the brunt of the conflict.
It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Eventually, that might be true, but it also becomes true that the lower tier gets completely harassed. I am not doing serious damage except for killing generals and chunks of tech/infra/land from nukes but am also doing so without any real additional damage to my nation. I can understand why some folks can war for years without qualm.
If you create an entire lower tier of over wondered over monied opponents with nothing left to do but harass your lower tier, eventually your lower tier will have to rise up ( stop feeding your alliance tech ) or leave ( stop feeding your alliance tech ) in which case you will no longer be able to prosecute the war. However the precious upper tier will be completely safe.
That is assuming a term of time less than the end of game - which we all are assuming is around the corner anyway - and great enough to make any chance of recovery impossible. It appears there are two long wars already at that point and there is no indication this current conflict will end any differently.
