  1. This is without wasting my time digging up all the posts from berbers cheerleading against us. Do you guys need a minute to get on message?

After the lectures we got in your embassy on our boards, you shouldn't be surprised from our reactions, I think.

R&R went out of their way to attack Polaris, an RIA ally, to say that R&R is really going out of their way to do anything is a joke.

Who burned those bridges first? Us or XX? But yes, let's conveniently forget all that because it doesn't suit your narrative.
  2. Where does it stop IS a fair question. It is just one that happens to  have no singular answer. In this case, all of this was less than 11 months ago. In terms of history for planet Bob, it was practically yesterday. A simple "We can talk peace after you bring yy number of nations above 80K out of PM could have satisfied the retribution for last wars nonsense for this particular group of combatants. Regardless , the NOTHING peace is disgusting and it has been shown time and time again that it ALWAYS bites the peace-giver in the ass , while at the same time proving that !@#$% peace-giver "got away with one."

Giving terms is quite simply getting even. More people are more interested in warm and fuzzies, its why the political climate on Planet Bob is so Admin-Awful. Everyone wants to act like genuine dislike, grudges, vengeance are things to shy away from , I simply do no subscribe that philosophy.

Quite frankly, giving terms to Aftermath would achieve nothing that hasn't been achieved on the battlefield already.

I don't desire to piss on their war effort, but most Aftermath members have taken a thorough beating during this war without landing back many blows (apart for a few noticeable exceptions of course).

If you want a more pragmatic approach, the political cost for giving Aftermath terms would be much higher than the value of a few toptier nations (and before people spin my words, no: I don't support terms for anyone in this war, nor does R&R).
  3. Dozens? I've seen a couple of instances where he's mentioned that this will go on for ages. I think you're stretching the truth a little far to assume from those posts I've seen it is his desire vs his belief.
I believe that this war will likely go on for quite awhile yet as well. It's not my desire, but when you have the MoFA of one of the alliances keeping my ally at war stating things like this, "we'll take it, we are fully committed in it for the longest of hauls. The longer the war, the sweeter the victory." it's hard not to have that belief.

I understand going out of your way to support an ally, but to pretend NATO has any interest in keeping NpO at war is ridiculous. Feel free to paint NpO as a martyr all you wish, but you know very well they could get out of this war in no time, should they want to.

What Lenny said is nothing shocking, despite what seems to be fake outrage particularly given the double standards in regard to this and last war: as long as NpO desires to stay in, they will face opposition from the alliances lined up against them. The world is shocked and appalled by such a stance!

    Dajobo never said that.

I'm tempted to waste my time and prove you wrong with a quote, but then I would have wasted my time for you.

Yeah, regardless of whatever "nothing personal guys!" lines they want to toss out there, it's been pretty clear for a while now that R&R, NATO, and NPO have been particularly bitter over Disorder and looking for a way to get some revenge. It's 100% personal on their end. Whereas Doomshphere is just doing a great job of pitting our two sides against each other while they continue to grow.

    Cry me a river.

You guys in NpO did such a perfect job with the management of last war (including the building up to it and post-war diplomacy) that it doesn't surprise me to see the reactions your membership and leadership is having after finding out you had pissed off so many people.

You're welcome to keep ignoring all that happened in the past year and paint yourselves as victims, though. Someone will always buy such nonsense.
  4. It's good to know that NATO, who oA'd into this war, seems to be one of the alliances pushing for a continuation of this war against Polar and its allies.

I think you're missing the dozens of posts where Dajobo states his desire for the war to go on for ages. I also think you didn't read Lenny's post at all.
  5. Why not have a treaty with them? I mean, you want to throw around numbers, let's throw around some numbers shall we?

NATO has 121 members currently. TOP has 80 members currently. This means TOP has 2/3rds the membership of NATO.

NATO is currently doing 1,794,451.59 NS worth of damage. TOP is doing 1,551,409.66 NS worth of damage. That means TOP is doing 86% the damage that NATO is doing with 66% the membership.

But wait, you stated in the OP that around 72% of TOP is in PM. I mean giving PM cycling, we can what assume that 50% of TOP is in PM for this whole time? (not gonna go through and look but Berbers can since this is his whole schtick which is funny since iirc Berbers was the one defending NPO's use of PM in Disorder...) So that means 40 members (or 1/3rd the amount of NATO members) are doing roughly 86% the damage all of NATO are doing.

Frankly, if it takes 3 times the amount of members to do the damage TOP members are doing, why should anyone be allied to NATO?

Ehy dude, as long as you're happy burning alongside other TOP's allies while TOP watches the fireworks I'm be happy for you :P Makes our job easier, I'm sure you'll admit that at least.

I'm quoting this so I don't lose it later :D

That's a nice zinger there, kudos. Still doesn't provide a real answer, probably because you can't state the real one. I'm sure most of your coalition is happy to burn for you at these conditions, though. Must be as smart of a plan as allowing Sparta to hit NPO last war.

Does it matter? TOP is far better at war if it hides in PM and is able to still do almost as much damage as NATO. :P Though I will give you this, if TOP had gone balls to the wall, they would probably be doing far more damage than NATO could ever dream of doing.

No !@#$: an alliance with one of the best upper tiers on Bob could have done more damage than a mid-tier alliance. Such cunning, Doch |:
  6. This thread is bad and you should feel bad, berby.

Mate we're going to be at war and outnumbered for ages yet. I'd rather see TOP playing it smart as they are than some short blaze of glory.

I understand where you're coming from, but if that's the line you're towing wouldn't have it been better to keep them out entirely? TOP's strenght is their upper tier and the core of experienced fighters, or so I assume given their "elite" label: having those nations drop down and fight in the midtiers would have probably put a major strain on our coalition's limited resources there, just by looking at the damage output NpO's former upper tier is dishing. I do not mean to tease and I don't have coalition-planning experience unlike yourself, but that just does not seem a successful strategy so far.
  7. Let's be honest, downdeclares are one of the very few tactics which grant an advantage to the declaring nation: war is war, not a joust or a duel between knights in shining armor.

Most people fight to make their alliance win, not for some self-serving "honor" to be found on the battlefield: the hands of those who brought you in the mud are seldom clear of machination and scheming, be them on the losing or winning side. I never understood the "fair fight" concept so many like to trumpet around during wartime.

  8. When you have a lulzist echo chamber spewing "Tywin is bad" and "SNX is bad" and "MI6 is bad" and even "Dajobo is bad" it's not surprising that a large chunk of public opinion, lots of it being comprised of cowards and infra huggers, vote that way.

But for me, popularity among the irrelevant and especially the Enemy, is lesser than honor and glory. I accept this award with pride.

Admin forbid people have informed opinions on which they base their statements.

Ive been trying to tell people they are TRYING to be MK. Only the have not one personality or anyone charismatic enough to make it work.

Plenty of people who opposed MK wholeheartedly in MI6, let alone the fact that their gaming style doesn't remind me of MK at all.
  9. In a healthy Alliance like the New Polar Order, tech producers are offered 9 million for 100 tech if they have an FAC wonder.

NpO: self-imposing terms since 2014. Couldn't think of a worse way to use your aidslots, frankly: that's punitive enough.

I'm comfortable with a solid 3k-4k infrastructure though, don't really feel the need to build beyond that.

Anklebiter level is fun to be at, but strategically irrelevant unless you manage to gather ALL the anklebiters. Hint: you have not achieved that.

Again, I in no way represent Polar fiscal policy, but I've always viewed the mid-tier as 20k-50k NS or so, and anything above that as upper tier. I believe Polaris and any other alliance can be perfectly self sufficient without any 50k+ NS nations.

This is hilarious. We are not in 2010 anymore: > 50k is uppertier? :| Self-sufficient without >50k NS nations?

You note that an aid drop can quickly repair damage in the low tier (<20k NS), and while that is true that tells only half the story. First of all, that aid is quickly dissipated during wartime. In my nation's wars alone, your side has squandered countless tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, which I have quickly plundered, spied away or otherwise negated. And I'm only around 5k NS or less most of the time.

Problem: aiddrop by whom? If you refure to grow past 50k you won't be able to amass huge warchests, so that aid will be a bit harder to organize, long-term. Also, 50k is vague: how would you arrrange the necessary wonder growth by staying under that threshold? No WRCs? No EMPs? :|

Psychologically speaking, low tier and even mid-tier nations on your side are, on average, of lesser quality than Polar low tier nations

Oh yeah, explain how a third or so of your nations haven't declared a single war, then.
  10. You're not really trying to make the argument that Valhalla, instead of simply staying out of this war, should have done what you have done and openly plotted against rolling their own allies, are you? Your alliance is currently using Pacifica, C&G, NATO, and R&R as mere chess peices while AZTEC(you know, your allies you need to keep strong in order to have any hope of being on the winning side of the next war), takes very little damage, the largest of whom has not entered the war yet.

Or perhaps (just perhaps, mind) the slow pace at which Polar's coalition countered allowed for its own upper tier to be dismantled at ease with no sweat, making AZTEC's/Umbrella's contribution less necessary than expected. That, coupled with a lack of counters on them till now (apart for AB).

I personally would have expected this war to much more centered on AZTEC than what it turned out to be this far, and I'd say that sentiment was widespread. Polaris & Co. chose otherwise (as other "strange" choices happened), so the prediction proved to be false, and those uppertiers are doing less work than expected. Too bad.

Pre-emptive attacks on DS allies sounds a bit stupid in all honesty, but ultimately the whole "wait and see" approach was predicated on an enormous overestimation of the opposition coalition's capability of and desire for independent action and thought.  I argued that regardless your coalition will just oA as many times as they need to in order to chain who they want where, and your coalition would go along with this without question, and that waiting was pointless and counterproductive.  I have been vindicated once again as exactly what I said would happen is exactly what did in fact happen.

Eh, Ogaden: nothing that hasn't happened already in the past couple wars: after managing last war exactly that way I'd have expected Polar to know what they would face.
