  1. Cry more.

I doubt I can be accused of defending MI6's FA, or their taste in allies... but they actually went to great lenghts to defend their choice to treaty Sparta and offered extensive explanations about your worth as allies. This sounds a bit shallow, that's all. I don't know the details of your relationship and how/why it ended, obviously.

180 reversals are thought of highly there.

You must be new around these boards.
  2. No coalition has ever been built of only mid/low tier nations, so giving you an answer would be impossible.

I can tell you that the only reason the peace between Umb/TLR/Deinos and Fark in our little sideshow of the Dave War was worded the way it was (including the most awesome clause in any peace treaty every (wars may continue until they expire)) was because we are a mid/low tier alliance and they weren't equipped to force anything else on us without having to call in more of C&G.

Yet we still lost that war.

I do believe a victory by mid-tier dominance is theoretically possible, I don't discount that: just not in the present world.
  3. NpO tech deal policy will see them sky rocket in ns after this war is over and help with quickly rebuilding,

Soft NS based on infra, though. NS that will be shaved away in the first couple weeks on any meaningful nuclear war.

and since war is fought primarily in the mid and lower tier they now have experienced fighters that will have decent warchests when they have to fight again.

Name one single recent war that was won by a coalition possessing only low-and-mid-tier strength. The closest would be Equilibrium, probably, where you had the world versus 10 alliances (and where the upper tier fighting was intense).

not switching to the 9/100 deal will put your alliance at a disadvantage to those that do.

Politics will put your alliance at a disadvantage, certainly not the kind of techdeals you're doing.

You're ignoring the fact that mid tier nations can't afford 9/100 while still building an adequate warchest. Terrible thread.

And buying wonders as well, let's not forget that. When 4999 or 5999 infra tech buyers have to pay 9/100s AND buy wonders every 30 days AND build a warchest, well...

I respect the capabilities and warrior spirit of Doom Squad, but it would not win a war against a depressed Polar on its own.

We don't see 1 vs 1 wars very often, though.

I'd rather we all acknowledged different alliances have different needs and therefor different prices and methods will be appropriate.

    So much this.
  4. You know, after digesting this momentous piece of news I'm trying to figure out whether Sparta's choice to get rid of its former XX allies (my uninformed guess is that Polar cancelled in response to Sparta's own cancellations, but I might be wrong of course: haven't paid attention of late) is either a good one or bad one. On one hand they lose some allies that have stood with them through thick and thin, on the other hand the idea of getting rid of possible conflicting ties is a smart one realpolitik-wise.

The real question is another tho: does Sparta have a paved road already for its future moves, or is this a bet aimed at baiting the interest of potential allies? Either time will tell, or you can spill the truth on these boards right now >_>

  5. Reasonable terms, personally I'm glad all the "eternal war" talk was set aside for an arrangement that seems to satisfy all the signatories. This was a tough war, and the fact that Polar and allies gained the right to clause Nr. 3 is a testament to their prowess. Well fought, everyone

My war shout our is to  Saurion.... of the Nation Chile... because he was my hardest opponent, but also gave my [occ]RL tourist information[/ooc]... so it was fun.

    lol
  6. According to nation strength stats, the Civilized Coalition, which included your alliance, lost and/or is losing, but looking at a wider analysis involving assets and strategic positioning, the outcome is not yet determined. The No-CB coalition, captained by DBDC, has suffered internal dissent, and Aftermath received an easier peace than some in the No-CB Coalition wanted.

Our coalition is about to crumble.

    Just wait a few minutes.

    No really, we're almost there.
  7. yeah, it was all Polar's fault you decided at the last minute to switch sides.

You're so ignorant about last year's events it hurts.

Considering R&R and TIO(at the very least) were in the Polar coalition channel right up until the war actually happened, US was supposed to be either neutral or on the Polar side, but things didn't turn out that way. This of course still ignores that R&R offensively chained in on an RIA ally, while pretending as though RIA actually matters to R&R.

What coalition channel are you even talking about? Are you aware that TIO is not in the Usual Suspects bloc anymore, and isn't even allied to R&R anymore? I find it somehow hard to believe TIO has someone active enough to attend a coalition channel.

R&R leadership also knows that they effectively stopped communicating, and up until the war dec led RIA to believe that R&R was going to only follow defensive treaties, which is not the case. You can argue whatever you like, R&R $%&@ed up with RIA, which is disappointing.

Despite the mistake which undoubtedly falls under our responsibility you seem to quickly forget that communication goes both ways and RIA failed as badly as ourselves in that regard (I'm talking about ordinary comms here).

Pretty sure XX gave US a chance to be on the winning team last war, can't help that you decided defending NPO was more important.

I don't think you quite realize the irony in this statement of yours: "We are gonna fake a war target to have at NPO, but sure, feel free to jump on board and fight against one of your blocmates' oldest allies! Nevermind the fact that no detail of the war and coalition planning has been discussed with you guys, and that you were put aside as soon as TOP-Umbrella and related luggage were acquired! We still need good meatshields!"
