  1. I need a tech seller who is willing to receive 3 million and then give two installments of 50 tech over 30 days (from the time of accepting the money)

Edit: I will also accept one more person tomorrow

    Anyone up for it?

  2. The problem with both these improvements is that they really don't seem to add any real tactical depth, except perhaps by middle range nations who still lack improvement slots. In my case I would get the Naval Construction Yard when I need ships quickly and then scrap them afterwards, while the Academy I would simply buy and then forget about

Now if these were wonders, then things would be drastically different, as you would have to balance them on the cost/benefit of getting another wonder

  3. In all honesty the guns vs butter dilemma seems to get considerably higher when nations get big. Wonders and Navies are where it most stands out. Right now my economic growth is slowed because I opt to purchase less economic wonders then what I could have, for example right now I'm planning to build a WRC, which is going to be a very expensive undertaking (at least in terms of what I could get if I decided on economic wonders instead). Navies are the same, building a full navy would help your nation considerably at wartime but is horrendously disastrous to economic growth.

So yeah there is a strategy to preparing your nation for war that forgoes economic progress, and so hard choices do have to be made

Interestingly a thing that I thought of a little while ago is the value of land, thanks to the Agricultural Development Program land can rake in a considerable income (still less then infrastructure in most circumstances though). But another thing that makes it valuable is the fact that it generates income and is less vulnerable to being destroyed in war. In conventional war cruise missiles, ground attacks (both successful and defeat alerts) and air attacks can destroy infrastructure whereas land is immune to being destroyed by those means. So in a conventional war successful ground attacks (even defeat alerts don't destroy your land) are the only way your land can be touched (in nuclear war investment in land is not quite as valuable due to nuclear anarchy and the land destruction of nukes). So war preparation might see some nations going for a land based economy instead of an infrastructure based economy

  4. I think it is only when you have two nations login on the same network multiple times within a short time frame that you risk deletion. Once or twice logging in on the same network while having large time periods apart will simply set it so that those nations can't interact with each other ever again. At least that's how I understand it

  5. Pontbridge has officially begun the development of a Blue Water Navy. Pontbridge wishes to assure the rest of the world that this navy will be used exclusively for the protection of Pontbridge and it's allies, in the prevention of blockades, the creation of blockades on nations that pose a threat, supporting of land and sea operations and the general protection of Pontbridge's waters from hostile foreign powers and that we do not intend to use this navy to threaten other nations unjustly or to disturb the current international peace

We would like to invite other nations to help us name our new naval vessels. Currently we have built 5 Aircraft Carriers, and soon we shall build 5 submarines, 5 destroyers and 9 corvettes once they have finished production.

We would like 5 names for the carriers and 5 names for the submarines in particular, the corvettes and destroyers will be given generalized names

And may we all prosper in peace. Peace through power is what it's all about

Edit: On second thought I have decided to opt to get as many Frigates as I can build instead, the upkeep scared the bejeebus out of the Pontbridge Finance Department, and I don't want to stunt my nation growth too much

  6. FAN is undead? This dialogue should help you understand the situation

FAN: Gaaarrrgghhh NPO brains! Brains! Brains!

    NPO: FAN zombie!

    *Fires shotgun*

    *FAN pauses*

FAN: Gaaarrrgghhh NPO brains! Brains! Brains!

    *Fires again*

    *FAN pauses*

FAN: Gaaarrrgghhh NPO brains! Brains! Brains!

    NPO: Meh

*NPO puts down shotgun and gets a drink*

  7. It's the nature of the leader of each Nation to pride them selfs on their individual work. This is why Pacifica will fall.

They've been here since nearly the start of Cybernations. Throughout their entire stay they haven't even come close to being a situation where they would potentially 'Fall', unless you define fall as having loads of allies, crushing every enemy in their path to the point they can no longer do anything but publicly taunt (notably FAN), having an active and loyal membership and having one of the most powerful military machines the Cyberverse has ever seen, then congratulations, the New Pacific Order has finally fallen, perhaps it is now safe to exit peace mode

  8. Congrats on your achievement, it's certainly a sign of doin' it right when you get a higher average then many top alliances

Also, has anyone ever told you guys that this character ä is difficult to track down and use? I had to go to the character map to get it

  9. If I were quitting, I would rogue on someone who didn't get rogue attacks all the time. But hey, you're quitting, have fun with it. It's just a game at the end of the day, there is no requirement for originality

Edit: Now those are some impressive stats

  10. Well at this time it has dropped to slightly below 18 million, but you'll all bounce back. Onward to 20 million! And onward to beating the unaligned menace too

Edit: Wait none is only at 3 million strength and 500 average strength. Yet they have 5000 nations :awesome:
