A fine line exists between socialism and communism.
Until very recently, Great Britain was a nation that you described. Yet you accepted billions our our pounds in an effort to keep the legitimate Government of your Nation in power.

The days of communism being associated with the great evils of this world are long gone. In this age, it is a working ideology. Perhaps your people and your newspapers should begin researching communism in this era before publishing such articles Mr President.

Vice President Robert laughed at the reply when he saw it from Great Britain and said to David, "I think the 705 women, 407 children, and 1,753 dead men and soldiers would disagree with his Majesty." David shook his head, "They can have their opinion Robert. Besides, public statements mean a lot. You need to think from his perspective." Robert sat quietly for a few moments, "Can I still keep that copy you gave me? The lounge ran out..." David chuckled, "Sure Robert."

The Kingdom of Ireland would send a notice to the U.S.I. protesting the outright banning of communism. After all, there were a number of stable communist nations in the world that don't have the list of offenses like the former North had.
In reply to the Kingdom of Ireland, "A newspaper submitted a simple add saying that. The government has not banned any type of government in the British Isles. If a nation has a communist economic system we will be willing to trade with them, as long as they do not infringe on the rights we mentioned to Great Britain earlier."

3. EDIT
Susan looked at her papers and then began to speak in a private video message. "Thousands were murdered by the North. Surely you can't blame a newspaper for having an opinion against communism when the author had relatives executed for fighting for a union? The United States simply made a new Foreign Affairs statement saying, 'Any communist nation that infringes on God given rights to Freedom of Religion, an innocent life, or Freedom of speech will not be allowed to conduct trade with the United States.' Our people and government just exited the bloodiest war that has ever set forth on this tiny Island of ours. The United States is a Republic, we are bound by our constitution to follow the will of the people and with the new congressmen and women from the North that are newly elected, they decided this would be best to make sure ideas of bloody revolution enter our nation again."

What of Socialist nations? are those prohibited a swell from the British Isles?
If so, please explain how the USI plans to enforce these measures.

OOC: That was a post by the Islands Post. It is a interdependent news paper that does not operate under the government however I will make my government have a statement because I like you Zoot B-)

IC:

David looked down at the Islands Post Newspaper and gave a happy smile to the newspapers final add at the bottom denouncing communism. He had his Island United. Thank God.
Later that day he saw a respectful public question from Great Britain so he made a simple statement back instead of bother Susan.

"The Islands Post is not under the government of the United States. However, they must hold the opinion of many Islanders because this was the most sold newspaper issue in United States history. I myself had a few framed.
The United States, because of the evils it went through with the north, has a new strict foreign policy. The United States of The Islands will not conduct trade with any communist nation that infringes on individual rights of citizens such as freedom to religion, freedom of speech, or the right to an innocent life. (OOC: It means a military soldiers can't shoot you if he suspects you of something) (IC) Furthermore, the United States is a Capitalist Republic. However we do not care or mind if anyone is socialist.
You have the right to be what you want, friend. The United States of The Islands does not have a negative view towards socialist in a domestic since. In conclusion, we have no problem with you and we hope we can have a bright future together."

5. The United States of The Islands
All United

The Civil War is now over. Fighting has ceased and it is time to rebuild. With the citizens of the north on the side of the south this will take no time at all to accomplish. Thanks to our boys in the military, the United States has captured every major leader in a matter of three days.
With the Western Isles joining the United States, it was crucial to keep the Island united to keep it stable there. As you all know, our troops are currently in the Western Isles establishing government and order in a peaceful manner.

With all of these exciting things happening, a gloomy question is left. What will we do with the communist tyrants that oppressed the nation and forced troops, men, women, and children to fight under a cause they did not support?
According to the President they are all going to get a fair trial with a jury in place. The death sentence almost seems definite with these chargers (not all included):

Violation of Human Rights
Violation of Civil and Military Rights
Treason Against State Governments
High Treason Against The United States of The Islands
Attempted Religious Genocide
The Destruction of God Given Rights
Capital Crimes Against A Religious Organization

The criminals will either get 700 years in prison or the death sentence three times. Either way, they are now under the authority of the United States.

Banba's House

"I am here to give you some information on why... Well why I am here." Anu looked at her daughter who was shyly sitting down and waiting to see how she would react, "Sure Private. Take a seat." Noah took a seat on a modest chair that was oppisate of the two on the sofa, "Recently, the Western Isles took a vote to see who what nation they would reside under or if they would become independent. An overwelming majority of the population decided to join the United States of The Islands and so the President signed off and so you are now on United States soil - Ireland is no longer the owner of these lands."
Banba gave an akward look at her mother who seemed a little agitated but was hiding it very well from Noah.

"And we, the United States Marines, are here to help establish state and local governments and law and order. Lewis Islands is where we have landed first and we are going to move on to the other Islands later but this one seemed the best to get this Island first."

Noah looked at his watch like he needed to be somewhere but before he could speak Anu said, "Stay for supper Noah. I insist."

7. Thousands of National Guardsmen and Marines rushed to the capital of the north. Black smock puffed in the air as fighter jets zoomed over the under-technological north and dropped missiles from the sky.

After killing several commandos the men went into the dictators quarters and found the ringmaster holding a double baral shotgun. The three National Guardsmen shot the man before he could inflict any harm to them. It is now time to rebuild the north, finally, one nation under one flag.

8.
The following answers were given by President David himself

On The Matter of Democracy

The United States of The Islands is a functioning Republic that lets it's people freely elect representatives which include members of an executive, legislative, and judicial branches. It is the right of every citizen above the age of 17 to vote in national elections - local elections may very from 17-21 years of age.

On The Matter of Rule of Law

The Rule of Law is vital to the founding principals if not the entire cultural society of the United States of The Islands. No politician or citizen is above the rule of law. Anyone from any corner of the globe that commits a crime in the United States will be prostituted for doing so. However, per the request of said nation, the death sentence can be overturned but they will still spend life in prison.

On The Matter of Human Rights

Human Rights is one of the Founding Principals of the United States of The Islands. When the north declared a civil war the south came together as one nation under one flag. The communist north is being taken back, with a majority of the military of the rebels decimated. The leaders of the north will most likely face Crimes Against Humanity charges in court and have a fair trial.
In order for Human Rights to be taken away from the Islands, you would need to over throw the government.

On The Matter of a Stable Government

The United States of The Islands does have a stable Republican government. With the north now being taken back into the union we are happy to say that we will be holding a constitutional convention. A current document does exist that protects individual freedoms and the current economic system of the United States which is a Free Enterprise one. The United States has a stable military, and a loyal one at that.

On The Matter of Responsibilities

We accept all of the articles. We recognize the sovereignty of each nation that has signed. We are willing to contribute.

11. Public Question From Chief Ambassador Susan of The USI

"The United States of The Islands is almost completely, if not totally a Catholic nation (by choice and not by force). A large portion of the islands are Irish and Scots that have been loyal Catholics for generations.
The religion of Catholicism is a peaceful one. The United States of The Islands does not impose an official religion on its people however everyone in the executive branch is Irish Catholic, everyone in the Legislative Branch is Catholic, and an overwhelming majority of the Judicial Branch is Catholic with all being Christians.

The United States of The Islands does not impose any type of radical or harmful laws to its people. It believes in freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the right to the pursuit of happiness of every Islander.

My question to you is this. Do you find the United States of The Island's government a threat to you? Do you find our way of living a threat to you? Do you find our beliefs a threat to you? Do you find our Catholic cultural distinction a threat to you?

If you do, what are your intentions towards the USI, our government, our people, our way of life, and our way of thinking?"

12. The United States of The Island supports the current government of Alaska. With a large number of unstable communist nations around the globe, the economic and political stability around the planet is very uncertain.

The United States, although we are far away, would like to know what we can do to help Alaska.

13. The Western Isles
Lewis Island - Port Nis
St. Anthony Catholic Church

General Kinsman stood in front of the alter as the mayor, the boy in the Minutemen division, and other Lewis Island leaders came to here what was going on. Everyone was inside, including Private Noah.
Noah was sitting in the second row of pews. Only about ten soldiers, including Noah, were inside the church. The other forty that came into the city were outside. The other 950 men were outside of the settlement in a grassy plain. Noah watched as the genera cleared his throat. There wasn't a microphone like in the church back home but then again the church wasn't huge like the cathedral back home either. Either way, a church this size was more then a little village like this needed - the people there thought of it as their crown jewel.

"I would like to thank all of you for taking time out of your schedules to come listen to me. My name is General Lewis Kinsman. My men and I come from The Island in the Irish Sea." A few mumbles were heard between the crowd. Was this who they hoped for? Were these the men that were going to annex them into a new country? "An overwhelming majority of the people not only on Lewis Island but the rest of the Western Isles decided they wanted to join the United States. President David O'Reilly sent my men and I here to establish law, order, justice, and a recognizable form of government. I see that you already have a since of law here with your minutemen. From the other three squadrons I heard they are doing a very good job of keeping order peacefully around here." Again people began to whisper to one another, More squadrons? they were asking each other.

"Ah I see.." the general said quietly to himself. "I forget that communications are down or non-existent.. My division of 1,000 men are not the only ones on the Island. I came to the north, there is another one in the southwest, and there is a third at the east. We are all here for the same reason. I can tell you right now that you are no longer in Irish land. The Western Isles are now a territory of the United States. Congratulations for sticking out so long ladies and gentlemen. We would have gotten here earlier but there was a bit of bad weather." Everyone looked to the mayor, who had guided them through anarchy until.
Mayor West stood up, looked at the general and his men.. And started to clap.
The room was dead silent except for his two experienced hands slapping together. One by one the rest of the room began to clap and cheer so loud that the bell tower began to hum.

Private Noah knew they wouldn't have to spend much time here since they did such a good job so he decided to go take a little walk. The address was 25 Soul Street. David stepped out of the warm church and looked down the long road that most of the village consisted itself on. There were a few gravel roads that lead off the main one to either larger homes or larger farms. He had been lucky enough to pick Banba's street and walked about a mile to her home. Before knocking on the door he fixed his hair and zipped up his jacket, his side arm easily visible. He knocked twice and looked for a doorbell but there wasn't one.

Noah knew he was being watched but couldn't tell by whom. Someone came up to the door, "Who is it?" Noah didn't really know how to reply. "Private Noah uh- United States Marines." He could hear light thumps of several feet of at least two individuals going up the stairs but didn't know what to think of it. A few moments later Banba opened the door. Noah stepped in and looked around, "A very nice home you have darlin- er ma'am." Banba smiled and told him to take a seat. "So where are your folks Ms. Banba?" the sixteen year old hesitated a little so he rephrased his question, "Where are your guardians?" Banba gulped. She didn't know what to say and if she should say it. "They are um-" a loud voice yelled, "Comming!" a clamper of several, not just two, feet was heard upstairs. A red haired woman in either her late twenties or early thirties came down the stairs. Banba looked surprised to see her, but only for a second. "The um.. animals got out the back darling.. No need to take them out."

Banba gave a sigh of relief while her mother stole the attention from her, "I am Anu. I am Banba's mother. Very nice to meet you...?" Noah finished her sentence, "Private Noah, Noah Gardner." Anu smiled and took a seat, "What brings you to my home Sir Noah?" Anu's Irish accent seemed much older then Banba's. It was not common but then again he was in a very isolated place on the planet.

14. The Western Isles
Lewis Island

Thousands of Marines glided from the large aircraft their feet once called home. All were armed with their traditional M1 Grands that had bayonets attached to them. The settlements were very small on Lewis so it was decided there would be three divisions to land on the island. One in the far north, one in the east, and one in the south west. Each division had a leader and there was one head general that oversaw everything.

About 1,000 men landed on a grassy plain in between two small wheat forms. They were the northern division and were lucky enough to have General Lewis Kinsman with them. Once on the ground, the soldiers quickly gathered their para shoots and formed a straight line. The general made a headcount and decided everyone was there when he got to about 752. "Ok boys, lets move out!" With the general and a few other Marines in the front, the soldiers quietly made their way to the small village they were aiming for, Port Nis. The village was small and unusual. The building of settlements here seemed to be one main rode and everyone home and small buisness was along it, no neighborhoods or segregated buisness districts. One of the men, with only a pistol to defend himself, pulled out the four foot metal pole and put the small sections together. He then took out then took out the United States flag and stepped next to general has he proudly bared it.

As the men got closer to the settlement farmers began to take notice and hide in their farm houses - a few even grabbed their guns although the general knew they wouldn't use them unless they were provoked. A sixteen year old girl noticed the large group of men and walked out of her moderately sized, one story farm house. She was dressed in modern clothes and had a pair of blue jeans on. Her perfect red hair moved itself to her left as the wind blew. She seemed seemingly harmless at first until the general noticed the revolver in a holster on her left side.

"Young lady can I help you?" General Lewis said. The girl stopped in her tracks, "What are you doing here?" Her hand was firmly gripped on her side arm while the cocky flag bearer had his hand on his pistol. After a pause she said, "I asked you a question Lewis." All of the men that could hear the conversation shifted uncomfortably. They knew the general's first name was Lewis however they had never heard anyone call him that before. The general, now wondering how she knows his name, asked, "What is your name again sweetheart?" the red headed girl seemed to be getting activated, "My name is Banba and your walking threw my friend's wheat field. Unless you want to ignore my question again, what are you doing here?"

The general snapped back an answer, "We are here to establish order and government in these Islands. Your people voted to become part of the United States of The Islands. These are the United States Marines." Many of the young men were eying the teenager as she moved her eyes over them, "Your from the United States...? Do you know my sisters?" the general was puzzled by this question because there were at least 90,000 other people on the Island including military personnel. He figured the girl was either very confused or playing dumb with him. He looked around and grabbed one of his intelligence officers, "I need to get to your village over there young lady but if you need to talk to anyone about anything else you can speak to Private Noah.

Noah, only seventeen himself, stepped up to the stunningly beautiful girl and swallowed his male hormones, "How may I help you miss?" The general and his followers started to move cautiously, a few stilled had their eyes on the girl's hand and her pistol. More people started coming up to ask questions so the general gave more of his intelligence officers out to explain the situation like he was instructed. Banba gave a warm smile to the handsome young man. He didn't tower over her however he was taller. His orange/red hair was short and his maturing beard was shaved. "Hi Mr. Noah. My name is Banba." Noah gave a relaxed smile, "I am Noah, Noah Gardner. I know everything the general knows about this situation, what is it that you would like to know?"
Banba sighed, "I suppose I am not on Irish land anymore am I?" Noah shook his head softly, "No ma'am. You are now on territory of the United States. I am not sure how aware you are of your politics but I can assure you that Ireland is the best ally of the US." Banba gave a soft smile and said, "That is alright.." she then murdered to herself, "I am still on Celtic land." Before Noah could ask if she had any further questions she leaned in and gave him a warm hug. Although it was Spring the weather was still nice and cool so her warmth must have been very refreshing. He didn't know what to do at first but eventually slowly patted her on the back. Suddenly he felt so relaxed, so calm. He felt like his knees were going to give way because he was so relaxed.

Banba slowly backed up and gave him and address, "Come pass by tonight. Maybe you can help explain to a few of us what is going on, Private Noah." Noah smiled and stuffed the piece of paper in his pocket, "I surely will ma'am." One minute Banba was there, standing in the modern clothes that fit her perfectly; Noah turned around at another soldier telling him to move along and then looked back - she was gone. He was standing in a large wheat farm with seeds loosely planted in the ground. However, when he looked down, a perfect circle of soft winter grass was around his feet. He stepped out of it carefully and made a mental picture of it in his mind.

15. The United States of The Island

Once in the air, it wasn't long before the helicopter made its way to Douglas. A designated amount of area around the Capital and the Orange House was a no fly zone however the President had special privileges so they could take a detour that brought them right over the capital and to its emergency landing pad. David rushed out with Susan and held on to his stereotypical buisness man's suitcase. Rushing into the capital David finally made his way to his seat as all the congressmen were making their way. Robert was already there and he luckily didn't notice Susan came in with him because he would be the first to ask where they both were.

Once everyone sat Robert gave a short speech on how the South was winning the war with the North. In fact, they were. Large portions of North Front were rebelling against their oppressors and it would just take one blow to finish them off. With that, David stood up.

"I know that you are all aware that the Irish have handed over the Western Isles to us. Because an overwhelming majority of you have agreed to accept the Islands, I don't see why we shouldn't." Everyone in the chamber stood and started clapping and cheering to David except for the high generals who usually stayed neutral when it came to clapping or cheering. "I am going to have the newest division of the military, the United State Marines. These are the boys that will be the first ones in and the last ones out of any situation. We are going to send 3,000 of them to Lewis Island by para shoot to establish order." David sat down with that short of a speech but the congress, including the generals, seemed to approve.

The main reason why he didn't over speak was because Susan kept crossing and recrossing her legs wich was breaking his chain of thought.

Off to Lewis we go.

16. The United States of The Island
David's Island

Susan stretched her limbs as the morning sun hit her face. They both were undressed and in their underwear that early morning and seemed to be quite comfortable. Susan cuddled close to David and held herself from laughing because she remembered from that night the "I love my Island" boxers he was wearing.
His hand was against her soft, flat stomach and he said in a tired voice, "Good morning darlin." Susan let out a small yawn and said, "I am happy to know the leader of many island's." David observed the papers that were set on the bed rest with his signature on it, "I do feel pretty good. After all, that revolution is dieing down too.. I think one more blow and everything will be over with." Susan smiled until she noticed the time on the clock, "David.. I think it is around the time when I should be calling you Mr. President...."

David looked at the digital clock on his bed rest and saw it read 6:45AM. "Oh sh-" David cut his own words off because he had the firm belief it was very rude to curse in front of women, especially beautiful ones like her.

They both took one last breath - this would be the most comfortable time they would have for the nest week probably - and got out of bed searching for their clothes. David laughed at Susan, "People are going to think I am a pervert with a young lady like you wearing so much pink." Susan threw his shirt at him and laughed, "Whatever 'I love my Island'." David tried to hide his blushing but couldn't do it so he threw her jacket at her, "We are even now.." Susan smiled at her Romeo as they got dressed to run a nation.

17. The United States of The Island
David's Island

David smiled while he sat in a comfortable chair in the main living room of the small two story house. The helicopter came within the ten seconds he guessed it would. The blades chopped the air while Susan climbed down the rope later that went to the roof of the home. Once she touched the roof with her casual shoes, she gave a thumbs up at the helicopter pilot for him to pick up the latter and fly back to the main Island. Susan tiptoed - as if she thought he didn't hear the helicopter - to the roof door and used her key to unlock it.

She slowly made her way down the stairs and into the small kitchen where she could see David sitting on a comfortable chair, looking through the glass wall at the beautiful Irish Sea that lay in front of him, "Isn't it beautiful?" he quietly said. Susan slipped off her shoes and walked with her pinks socks to David, "I couldn't think of a more beautiful thing." She stood next to David for a moment while they both observed the remainder of the sun set.
David stood from his chair and grabbed one of Susan's hands, "I can think of something hundreds of times more beautiful." He leaned down and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. Her white cheeks then changed to a rosy red color while she smiled at the powerful young man in front of her.
Susan hugged her lover and he gently ran a few fingers through her beautiful brown hair while he held her dearly. It wouldn't look too professional if anyone saw the President and newly chosen Chief Ambassador acting romantically.

Susan began to give into her emotions and tried pulling David down for a kiss but David chuckled, "We are here on buisness aren't we darlin?" Susan blushed and said, "Well, I suppose I wouldn't have let the entire office know I was coming here to spend time with you. But.. if you insist I think I can take time out of my busy schedule for the President of The United States of The Island!" David smiled and offered her the seat he was previously in, he would take one next to her. "Did the King call? Or was it more of an official statement?" Susan took the hot chocolate David had recently been drinking it and picked up the cup to take a sip. "There was a vote and Scotland wanted to be independent. The Western Isles voted to overwhelmingly join our little nation."

Susan crossed her legs, which David found amazing because it seemed that the jeans she was wearing would not allow her to move yet her perfect figure let her move with ease. David caught his eyes drifting from her face down to her now crossed legs and quickly raised them back up, "Well obviously I would accept the Isles. I know much about their rural people however there should be some formal way that we do this. Shouldn't there?" Susan was starting to get annoyed that David could sit there while she tried to distract him, "I have the papers with me.. I got a pin too. Wana sign them?" David, who was like a puppy hearing the crumbling of a treat bag, quickly said, "Yes where are they?"

Susan got up and slowly made her way to David's bedroom, "You can have them if you find them.. Mr. President."

18. The United States of The Island
David's Island

President David was sitting in a rocking chair on his private island that lied south of the Island itself. He was enjoying a cup of hot chocolate while the sun was setting. The moment was perfect... Until his iPhone started wringing. David rattled his hand through his pocket and felt for the buzzing iPhone until his hand clinched it. Upon pulling it out he noticed it was his Chief Ambassador Susan, "Hey darlin how are you doing?" Susan gave a small giggle over the phone but kept a professional voice because she was using a phone in a more public space at her office. "Hello, Mr. President" she said seductively. David smiled while she continued. It was always nice to hear from her, they had so much in common, "Apparently Ireland has held elections in Scotland and the people there are going to become independent and make their own country." David took a sip of his coffee, "That is outstanding. The Irish are really that generous to their own people I suppose."

Susan twirled the cord that connected the phone to the base and said, "I have even better news.. The Irish are much more generous then you think. You are aware of the existence of the Western Isles off of Scotland right?" David was partially asleep because of the relaxing environment around him but managed to say, "Mhmm." Susan joyfully continued, "Robert told me he would let me surprise you... They voted to join our country - the United States. Many members of Congress called Vice President Robert and gave a formal vote to him that they would accept them joining. 84% were for them joining our nation, 6% were against, and 10% didn't cast a vote to stay neutral. All you have to do is sign a few papers when you get back from the island. Isn't that great.... David?"
David had spilled hot chocolate on himself when he had jolted up out of his rocker and was trying not to let Susan hear his yells. He eventually came back to the phone when he stepped inside the small, but magnificent, home and started to wipe the hot drink off his jeans.

The President then put the phone back to his ear, "Sorry about that.. I.. dropped something. Did the King of Ireland already sign it over to us?" Susan, who was happy to know that she was bringing joy to the President, smiled, "Yes sir. It is ours." David yelled in joy. "This is great! Look do we have any communication links to them?" Susan sighed a little, "Alas no Mr. President. There are really no major cities on the Islands. The biggest one, Lewis Island, has a population of only 19,000 people. Almost all of the Western Isles's inhabitants live on small scale farms or rural areas. Some live in villages but I wold put that at around 10% of the population. Mr. President, these island's are our Siberia - Our jule.

With that said, I am going to come to your island to talk with you a little more.. Privately." David laughed while he started searching for wine, "I can't wait darlin."
