PD- that rule you just suggested would kill warfare in cnrp, I know personally if I was to be warred on by SMH that I would refuse so yeah it would kill war

Oh good idea, now people can hoarde land easier by never being attacked!

No, rogue nuking and sneak attacks make this game more interesting. :/
It wouldn't kill war. It just means if you want to go to war with someone you need a nation to invade them. I didn't know we had people who RP armies traveling the world and playing Alexander the Great.

2. I suppose this is a noobish question but I am going to ask it anyway. You can not RP a revolution in someone's nation without their permission. You can't RP anybody's citizen or anyone that is from their nation without their permission.

Those are respectful and understandable rules. Shouldn't just make these two things rules:

1. In order to invade or attack a nation (this includes with weapons of mass destruction), one must have a nation or have permission from the defending nation to do so.

Instead of making all of these rules or regulations why not just do that as far as lolnuking without a nation goes.

Also, I like how this is no option three that says keep the rule how it is, that should always be taken into consideration.

3. President David successfully made it back to The Island without a hitch, the people were happy to have their president back. Áine, on the other hand, would need to try to stay calm in the environment she was going to be in for now. A very unfamiliar one at that.

OOC: I will send the email soon

4. David nodded at what the King said about the Navy, "Very well. By the way" David looked at the advisers, "I tend to speak from the heart when I am upset, which is a good thing to do, although I could also use my brain a little when doing so." David adjusted his tie and stood, "By the way your Majesty, Áine is in the room just outside. She will be a very humble guest, I can assure you of that. Thank you gentlemen for your time, I am most grateful for that and the assistance you are providing to me and my people."

5. The following story involves the lives of Áine and Badb in a school situation. Reader discretion is advised.

6. David was very happy that his friend stood up to him in his time of need. He feared that he would have to get up and leave but the King proved his fears wrong. David nodded, "I understand that you want air support and might want a naval presence. I can understand where you are coming from your Majesty.
Luckily, the majority of the air force's presence is in the South so the North has the low side on that front. I have plenty of stealths that the North would never see coming. I would be honored to have your Majesty's air force to help us however one thing that I need to tell you about is that we need to be very careful with civilian areas. The majority of northern civilians are on our side and I do not want that to change. When I am on my way home today I can send an email with locations that we will need bombed immediately. If you can guarantee that you can send bombers today then I can also send mine.

Furthermore, a small naval presence could be understood and until we are ready for the full scale attack it could be docked in Douglas or New Dublin for the time being. Your opinion?"

Luis laughed at his friend's joke, "Ok ok listen, my wife is about fifty times worse. Last night, I got home.. You ready? She made me mashed potatoes for dinner. I was like 'Really?' she was actually surprised I was mad at her ok? And then-"

The three huge monitors that reached from the floor to the ceiling started to light up. The automated voice system started up, "The following message is not in any way a drill..." The screen started running big red words along it while the automated voice red them allowed, "Nuclear Launch detected... Searching relative location... Searching relative locatio- Nuclear launch detected... Sear- Nuclear Launch detected. Searching Relative location. Searching relative location... Stand by..." The operators, who mostly took this job because they didn't ever expect much to happen, looked up at the large monitors as a huge map of the Atlantic, American Eastern Sea-bored, and Europe popped up.

"Total launches: three. Relative launch location of all total launches located... Verifying... Northern Atlantic Ocean." The monitors showed the small dots. They slowly started to move to the west but the operators couldn't tell yet. One of the men stood up and spoke loudly, "Voice command. Identify final destination of total launches." The voice didn't reply for a few moments, "Relative Location: New England." Every one sat back and sighed. "Someone call the Vice President!"

The Orange House

Vice President David started writing,

The United States is very sorry for what has happened. We condemn these terrible attacks against your nation and hope those evil ones who did this are brought to justice. If you need anything, anything at all, call me or President David on the secure line.

My God have mercy on their souls.

8. David's eye vision wasn't to bad. He was a little far sited, which meant he couldn't see up close to well, which was uncommon for a young man like himself. After listening to the respectful arguments from the King's advisers he took off his reading glasses, sat them on the table in front of him and folded his hands, "Why can't my civilian police agencies handle the south... The United States Department of Civil Defense was being set up right before the war. It was small, and made a small transition from having the name changed from the UIN Department of Civil Defense to the US Department of Civil Defense. My close friend, Aime Garfield, was the director of the Department of Civil Defense.
When the North declared independence she enacted our government's emergency response measures.

When I called to talk to her about keeping Douglas and New Dublin secure, I came to a voice-mail from her office. Fifteen minutes later I got a call that she was shot while getting a cup of coffee that morning. General Thomas Revere was shot twice in the back and left for dead. I am sure as we speak another one of my good friends that are in some type of leadership role are going to be killed soon. The Department of Civil Defense is a basic police force that, along with the National Guard, distributes aid in times of troubles, stops violence, and protects the President and his Cabinet at all costs.

My Director of Civil Defense is dead, my number two general is dead, I am running out of friends here gentlemen. These people who are killing my people are not random gunmen playing cowboy. These are the trained special forces of the North that were previously used to execute civilians who spoke out against the communist nations, to assassinate leaders and create and run coups, and also your every day swat-teams. May I mind you that these people have security forces at all times around them, so those two people have not been the only two casualties.

My military has been slashed in half, my nation has been sliced in half, my people have been forced apart by the torments of war. My men are spread thin, tired, and trying to police a border while at the same time planning for an offensive strike against the North so they don't strike first and wipe us out.

Also, the Kingdom of Ireland is aware of the results of nuclear war. On our Island we do not have nuclear capabilities however we do have about 250 cruise missiles. 115 of them are either in the north or at large somewhere on the Island. These surface to surface missiles don't need to launch to be detonated, they can be brought in a van to say a governors mansion and detonated, wiping half of it out.

That gentlemen, is why I can't police every square acre of the Island. Every minute I sit here is another minute that I hope my phone doesn't start ringing to let me know that the Vice President has been shot and was found in the Irish Sea.

I only have once chance at this. There is no three lives, there is no restart button, this is a game of chess that is life or death and a a few more wrong moves I will be in checkmate. Your men can't police cities? Very well, I am sure we can figure it out. Your men aren't especially trained to search civilians or make sure the streets are clean - I can't blame you. That is a police officer's job.

Here is what my two biggest issues are gentlemen: my executive's safety and an offensive strike against the North. My tacticians have it planned out and we know what we are going to do, however we are lacking men. I don't need air support, I don't need the latest tank, I don't need three destroyers, I just need a few thousand ground troops and a few hundred special forces."

David sighed, looked down at his glasses, and put them back on. "I am the first president of the United States of The Island. I do not want my great-grandchildren reading about how David O'Reilly couldn't get help from the Irish and had freedom fall from the land forever. I don't care if I have to grab a rifle and head into the fields myself I refuse to let that happen. What I need to know, friends, is are you going to help me accomplish my goal, or are you going to assume that everything is alright while the biggest conflict in that rock's history goes on."

David sat back and took a deep breath, "3,000 soldiers that know what they are doing and can help overrun the North when the time comes and 700 special forces to protect the government buildings in Douglas and New Dublin so no more of my people die. That is all I need your Majesty, that is all I need."

------------------------------------------------------------------

Áine sat calmly outside but could hear every single word the men, or at least David, were saying. Her blue eyes shimmered while she leaned her head to the side to take a nap - ironically she knew that she wouldn't have enough time to fall asleep.

9. *Private To Great Britain*

We are most sure that you have no aggressive attentions against the United States, because we are sure you are not that foolish. The Kingdom of Ireland is one of the United States's closest allies and is our closest ally culturally. From what you have said it sounds like you have no agressive actions towards them or the United States itself so that is very good news. It would be a-shame for history to repeat itself.
One of the United States's top priorities is to ensure the stability, security, and defense of the British Isles. As you know, we are small and might have a problem with doing that by ourselves but I can assure you we would try. Thank God this new government seems to want to change the way it previously existed.

If you keep to your word, then maybe one day the British Isles could all be allies.

-Secretary of Defense Jerry Shaw

10. The United States of The Island congratulates Great Britain. We are very happy for you and this new step for the British Isles. However, not to be blunt or rude, but the United States would like to be assured that nothing aggressive is planed against the United States?

11. A Private Leader From The President of The United States To The New State of Venice

Welcome to this marvelous and unforgivable world. One filled with greed and charity, wisdom and stupidity.
Although it won't take my recognition for your new nation to be found independent, I do extend it to it's fullest intensity. The United States, likewise myself, are very grateful to see that this revolution is over and that peace can return to southern Europe for now.

And so, I declare official recognition of your independence. Congratulations on succeeding on your difficult campaign to freedom and liberty.

-President David O'Reilly

12. Robert looked around and couldn't understand what he was seeing. Everything was black, as if it was midnight on a cloudy day, except he could perfectly see his own body as if he was standing in the sun. The floor was black, the north was black, the south was black, the east was black, and the west was black. For a while he walked, trying to feel for a wall, but nothing. Just this cold, hard, pitch black floor. Is this hell? he thought to himself. He just stood there and waited for some evil spirit to come around the corner and bight him but instead he heard a soft voice.

"Robert..." it whispered, "You need to know something." it was a soft, quite, feminine voice. The voice seemed to be coming over his right shoulder but every time he turned it seemed the direction the voice was coming from turned as well. "There is no time for questions Robert.. Now listen." As much as he didn't want to, he stood firm and listened to the voice, he could tell it meant him no harm, "You mustn't listen to the man in the green suit. He will lead you to defeat. Listen to the man in the leather jacket." Robert, who was no confused, blurted out, "Who? Give me a name! Show yourself voice!" the voice began to fade away as it continued, "The leather jacket Robert... The leather jacket.........."
"Wait!" he yelled. But it was to late.

Vice President Robert opened his eyes. It was now dark inside the formally perfectly lit room. No lights were on, and the sun itself apparently checked in early just so Robert could get a well deserved sleep. Robert looked at his watch, "Thank God, only 20:00." He thought of his strange dream as he adapted from being asleep and resting to getting ready to be up and about to run a nation. He stretched and then slowly began to stand up and look around for something to do. "Ah the reports" he said to himself. He clumsily walked over to the side table by the big oak doors to the President's office and picked up the smooth manila folder. Inside was many pictures and papers involving the war, some of the papers were written letters from generals. Most of the letters were just questionnaires. Many generals wanted to be micro-managed because they were to afraid of being aggressive and making a mistake. A few were sincere letters that were just friendly and asking simple advice, but they all were pretty much unessential.
At the end of the file was the Declaration of Cease-Fire from the north. It read that there would be no threat of war for the next two days. Robert wasn't even remotely relieved because he knew this could be a trick or some type of technique to lower their defenses. He simply sat the file down on the small table and he put the limp paper on top of it.

After thinking for a few moments, Robert went back to the president's wide, finished oak desk and looked through it for paper. He finally found a blank sheet and began to write quickly. It wasn't a normal dream, he put, I know I should have been less of a hard-head and listened but I was to foolish to care.
Must remember: Do NOT trust the man in the green suit
Must remember: Trust the man in the leather jacket

Robert set down his pin and then looked over to the two grand oak doors that were being opened. This time, a different secretary, one that aparently was very fond of Robert opened the doors with a warm smile, "Hell Mr. Vice President. General Arnold is here to talk to you. He is in conference room one."

13. The Island's Children

With economic recession, cold months of winter, a war splitting our nation in half, and the stress of every day life we wonder how we are staying afloat. We sometimes tend to neglect our children who need just as much attention, if not more, then we do from our spouses and each other.
In a disturbing report from the Department Civil Care, suicide rates have raised on the Island by 5% in the past few months. Here is the shocking thing; these suicide rates are of minors from ages 13-16. Right now we are all thinking of ourselves and how we are going to keep our jobs. How are we going to keep making money? How can we keep our homes warm? Ladies and gentlemen, you need to be thinking of how you can keep your children alive.

Something our Island lacks is the therapists and not many counselors at schools. Apparently our government has started looking into some foreigners that could help. Our Island is very unwelcoming to foreigners, mostly because of our close culture, but maybe we could let a few come temporarily.

14. Robert sat at David's desk. The room that the President resided in had two very beautiful moments of the day. When the sun was just rising, and when the sun was setting. The effect of this could best be seen with the lights off. Natural light was so much more pure and warm them industrial, man made light. It was 19:00 and the lighting was perfect. All of the thoughts of ware and suffering escaped the man's mind. He slowly closed his eyes and enjoyed the sensation of starting to rest. There are only a few good feelings that any human beings naturally experience. This was one of them. There is no feeling like being exhausted and closing your eyes. Robert couldn't explain it himself. It was like his brain wanted itself to be aggravated until it got what it want; sleep to repair itself.

The room was filled with dim lighting from the setting sun, a calm environment, and, most importantly, total silence. Robert knew he would be falling asleep in a matter of seconds so he stayed in his position in David's comfortable chair. Normally he would never put his feet up on anyone's desk but his own but this was a special occasion. Even when David was here he wasn't getting much sleep so this was something he desperately needed. Peace and tranquility was within his weak grasp. It got closer and closer...

An apparently new secretary practically kicked open the door to the president's office and sound in a loud and annoying voice, "Mr. Vice President-" Robert opened his bloodshot eyes and yelled, "WHAT!" the secretary backed up a little and set the files on a side table, "Sorry to disturb you sir... The North has agreed to two guaranteed days of peace with us. I was um.. told to tell you sir." The nervous young lady closed the oak door and went outside to go cry to one of her friends that she had made a terrible first impression that the Vice President would probably forget in two minutes.
Robert didn't even care to open the files. It was time to take a good nap.

15. EDIT: David was happy not to be hassled by the press. Not only because of the immense stress he had but also because he had a suspicious character with him that didn't need to be in the public's eye. Áine didn't really mind what was going on, she was more focused on trying to anger David although it was hard because at the same time her instincts were telling her to be a happy-go-lucky person.
Once outside of the small craft they were escorted to the trim limousines that were fit for... well a king.

Inside David felt he was fortunate to be alone with Áine until they made it to their destination because he wanted to talk her down one more time. "Áine, no matter how upset you are with me, I don't want you to hurt the National Security of our country because of it. Please, while you are here, just be good. Ok? I can't stress this enough." Áine was looking out one of the tented windows. Her eyes quickly left the true physical reality of the world and drifted off into a mysterious land. Her mind leaped into what we call "daydreaming".

The Daydream

Words were being burned into Áine's mind. She saw the vision but would only remember certain parts and maybe 55% with extensive meditation. The words that were etched into her head was simply, Two battles. One by land, then one by sea. The one with defense shall prevail.

Back To Normal

Áine focused back to reality to find David snapping in her face. She slapped his hand away and she then grabbed him by his tie, "You will not even attempt to tell me what to do. You think you are above me? You think you have any right to hold me captive?" Her eyes looked deep into his and then back, even though she was the one of love and wisdom, her ancestor's furry could be taped within her if she needed it, "Do you understand me.. Mr. President?" she slowly let go of his tie and sat back down.

President David was quite for a few moments, straightened his tie, swallowed a large amount of guilt and fear and then slightly bowed his head, "I apologize." Áine was quite for a while and then sighed, "I forgive you. Your only human after all, we all do dumb things at one time or another." David was happy he closed the privacy glass before this conversation started.

David knew that they were approaching the Palace so he checked his iPhone for any updates or news bulletins. He had one message from Robert:

"DEFCON 2
SECURITY ALERT: ORANGE
THREAT OF ATTACK: HIGH

Return once meeting is over.
I wish I was joking."

David gulped as the he watched the door of the limo open. He, and the Áine, stepped out. David and Áine made their way to the palace and once inside they met with the men of Patrick's Shield. "Good evening gentlemen." Once politely escorted by the men of Patrick's Shield, he and Áine willingly let them search their persons for weapons or any items of interest. He kept a close eye on when they searched young Áine, but they seemed to be very mature and perfect gentlemen of the search.

After the quick yet thorough search, David put his hand on Áine's shoulder and assured her they wouldn't have to wait to long, "Just stay in the room out here. You'll be fine. This is one of the greatest nation's on the planet, I'm sure they have a pretty good group of people making sure their most important building is secure." Áine slightly smiled and then went find a seat.
He gave her one final nod of assurance and then went into the room with the escort.

As much as David might have wanted to, he knew he couldn't bow to the King. Public or private, he knew the Island public would not approve so instead he put his hand out for a friendly handshake. "Gentlemen, as you may know my Island is embroiled in a terrible civil war. Not much blood has been spilled but enough has been spilled that I can stand for this no longer. It is one thing to leave the Union, but another to murder civilians." David knew this was true. He had gotten an official security report saying that 30 citizens of New Dublin were executed for trying to leave the northern part to get to the southern, capitalist part of the city.

"I think it is obvious why I am here but I will say it allowed anyway..." David looked down for a moment and then sighed, "I need your help- we need your help. My military is spread all around the South just trying to defend key members of government and setting up defense perimiters. What I need is for someone very experienced to take their place and help. I need my forces to take back the north. Weather you want recognition, or to keep this on the down low, I do not mind, I just need help gentlemen. I'm running out of options, you, my friends, are the second to last one."

David wanted to slap himself because he knew he talked to much but he just stayed quite, waiting for a response.

16. The President of The United States

President David safely landed in Ireland a few minutes ago. There were some complications with his escort but everything has gone according to plan so far. The President is going to Ireland to get some type of monatary, diplomatic, humanitarian, or (unconformed) military assistance to fight the north. The Kingdom of Ireland does ofcourse have a treaty with Union of Island Nations. The Union of Island Nations merely changed their name and vowed themselves to capitalism and freedom. Making a more centralised government they kept the Executive Branch the same and set up a less complicated legislative branch. The North declared war on the south and has now offered a peace treaty, which is what we have been told by our government. The United States (south) has not made an official statement yet. Not declaring war, but not declaring peace either.

The most important thing the President needs to do now is get back to the Island to serve and defend his people. Vice President Robert is a very smart man, no doubt, but he is not the man that was chosen to lead our nation. His job is to serve as president if the president himself would not be capable of doing his job. The true question is: Does the Vice President have any power if the president is on a diplomatic mission? An official Constitution has not yet been ratified for the Island but the government is currently functioning on these principals:
-Freedom of Speech
-Freedom of Expression
-Freedom of The Press

-The Right to Bear Arms
-Right to Protest Peacefully
-Right to Privacy
-Innocent until proven guilty by a court of one Judge and a set of 16 peers
-Freedom of Religion

These principals are only the groundwork of what will become our new nation. A constitutional convention was called into order but lead to this war. Hopefully it will come to an end soon so everything can be more clear on to how things work. The government can not pass laws, police officiers can not arrest anyone breaking the law unless they are caught red handed (for the exception of murder, rape or anything else that has a capital offense), and the National Guard has basically declared a weak form of martial law on the southern half of the Island. From what we know, they have prevented 50 small bombs from being detonated and have also stopped some rebels from sneaking into the country.

The one thing we can all agree on is our flag. The red white and blue, the one star, it all symbolizes something. We know the star symbolizes one united nation under one flag. But what does the red, white, and blue stand for? Next time a special segment will be printed on what makes our flag so special and tied to ourselves.
When the President gets back, he needs to make sure that flag makes it to the north cape of North Front otherwise we will be looking at a house divided.

17. The craft landed with permission for Dublin International, and with almost exact persission. David swiftly breafed Áine on what to do and not do. While they gathered their personal belongings which were slightly scattered across the plane David started briefing the girl on how to be good while she didn't really care who thought what of her. David bent over his seat, searching for his wallet, and talked to Áine who was trying to get cell-phone service. "Remember, you do not call the King by his first name. From what he understands, you are some little brat that problably just had your daddy pay to keep you in Ireland until this bloody conflict is over. However, you and I know you are way more then that." He gave a sigh of relief as he picked up his leather wallet. He had about $1,000 in it and his own personal Government ID so it was pretty important that he had it. "Don't disrespect anyone in his government, don't give him advice or even speak to him unless he does it first. Don't complain, don't correct anyone, and go to church every Sunday that you are here. It's Ireland, I'm sure you can't throw a rock without it hitting a church. Got all of that?"

David sat back up and made sure every $100 bill was still inside the leather pocket of his wallet. Áine had given up on her phone and was just sitting in a chair near the door, "Yeah whatever... Just let's get this over with. I can flirt with anyone I want though.. It's my job anyway." David stood up, straightened his tie, fixed his slightly shaggy hair back to it's combed position, "That's not your job. Your job is to help people that are in love or show people how to love. It is just an added bonus that you can flirt with practically any male and have them give you some type of positive response back." Áine, who was normally a very respectful teenager, was pretty aggravated that she had to leave the Island.

Áine stood up and brushed off her jeans which didn't even have any noticable, if any, dust on them, "David, I know what to do. Just leave me alone.." Áine got close to the door and tapped her foot as she waited for it to be opened. David wasn't one to go against someone like Áine so he simply walked over to the door and opened the latch. Outside was waiting a few National Guardsmen that came in advance to escort the President and Áine.

David needed to get this meeting done. The Island was at a total standstill and he knew it could only last so long. He could have a civil war where he is in power, or he could have a civil war where all law and order breaks down and he is left a refugee of communism. What was now on his mind was, I need to get this done now.

18. Today President David announced that the Civil War between the North and the South may come to a close soon. The North has said that they, "do not want a ununited Island. We need to be together and as one" says a Union of People's Republics spokesperson, "We just want the Union to be how it was before. We want Communism and Socialism to reign in our nations while you can have your capitalism and freedom in yours."

We questioned Vice President Robert on this statement and here was his reply, "I do not feel the communists are being truthful. We can not just have the north come back with the same rebellious leaders that would leave at any moment they want to and stay united. If the north would be willing to only stick with each other and not the entire Island, then they must be dealt with. Communism is a cancer to freedom that delivers a quick and swift death. The United States government will talk to the north and we will try to make peace.
While we are on the edge of total war, and while I support bringing the north back to be united with the south, we still need to try diplomacy before war. I will give the north the benefit of the doubt and say that they might be willing to compromise.
You should all be prepared for the inevitable, I think we all know what it is."

The Vice President makes it sound like we are going to war but can this really be initiated without the President himself here? The Island, and possibly a war, is waiting for our President to come back from Ireland. The entire Island, north and south, is currently in political turmoil. Why? Because neither side will strike first. If the President would return, then the south would definitely get back on track and it is sure that the north would prepare.

Mr. President, your country needs you.

19. Robert rubbed his temples while he sat next to the red phone waiting for a call from someone saying something happened, or worse, the launch of a PR Cruise Missile. Cruise Missiles aren't nuclear but to the Island, they were the equivalent. The phone started to wring and Robert nearly fell out of his chair. Wring wring wring, Robert cleared his throat and then talked into the phone, "Vice President Robert here." Robert was then relieved to hear David's voice on the other line, "Hello Mr. Vice President" David laughed, "you don't sound to well." Robert leaned back in his chair and put his feet up on David's desk, "Not really David.. You have a terrifying job." David then threw a pin at Big J. who was snoring in the back of the private jet, "Look Robert, this meeting with Ireland might take a while. I need you to be prepared to do anything."

Robert sat up, "I don't understand. What is it that you are asking me to do exactly?" David sat quietly for a second, "When we hang up I am going to make in a call and lower the DEFCON Level to 2. I am asking you to prepare the troops Robert. I have in-tell that says it wont be much longer until they strike. We need to throw the first blow. We have the better defenses so I know we could get through this. General Lewis McCain will be arriving at the Orange House in a hour or two, he will help you with all of this. Are you willing to do this Robert?" Robert then solemnly replied, "Yes... Mr. President."
