We had initially intended to fight for the full term of the war anyway, so a few shots fired after update with retaliations are fine.

We could just go free-for-all in every war: any time that someone goes to war with us, they should expect mutually assured destruction. All ops would be on the table and neither alliance will be able to rebuild afterward. Actually, let's just throw all the gentleman's rules out and let alliances declare when their target hasn't even come out of nuclear anarchy. Hell, why stop there? Why not declare on target alliances WHILE they're fighting another alliance?
These gentleman's rules exist to prevent TE from falling into a realm of absolute chaos where the round would just a mad free-for-all... a veritable blood bath of pixels. Perhaps next round we will see the rise of an alliance founded on the principles of nihilism: an alliance that will plunge TE into a darkness from which it will never recover unless the community takes up these gentleman's rules that so many of you are so eager to spit on.

If everybody convinced one person to at least try TE, we'd build our numbers very quickly. I was able to convince an SE player to join TE several rounds ago and we even brought in someone who had never played SE before. He's stuck around for three rounds now :) Just grab some RL CN gear to take with you to work/class and hope it baits someone into asking about it.

this is the type of stuff that grudges are born from. You dogpile on top of an AA with the reasoning that it is the end of round. Hey, that is as good a reason as one needs but most of TE police will be back next round as will many of its current attackers.
A person could declare a grudge for any reason at all. I know some people have them for being kicked out of alliances, others for declarations that were in favor of the attackers, and some just because they think the other person is a jerk. Pick your reason: it keeps the game interesting!

With regards to target assignments, they were distributed based on the highest infra that each team could hit within the 200% NS cap of the weakest member. TEPD was already pretty well covered with declarations so with the exception of a few outliers, the only nations that were hit should have been ones that had all three defensive slots open.
Anyway, round is almost over and this war with TEPD has been a nice finale - CN:TE vs TEPD. While the overall odds were pretty crappy for TEPD, it was interesting to see a multi-alliance war at this scale break out.

Thank you Stevie, I didn't meant to imply a level of bitterness towards your use of spying against OP but rather that I learned the lessons well and apply them aptly. It seems in this game one either learns and evolves or becomes like the Warriors stuck in a pattern of crap building and bitterness, who has one legitimate fight in them then spends the remainder of the round down declaring to cover up their lack of WC and building skills.
You know, at first I was agitated at your incessant badgering of The Warriors. Now that you have said yourself that you play the game by employing every trick at your disposal, it is clear that you are trolling The Warriors for two reasons: 1) To garner support against them and 2) because it really pisses them off. In another thread, someone said that they really love when people are jerks because it makes foreign affairs much easier. By constantly badgering The Warriors, you can pretty much always count on them being out for your blood. Just as it is useful to have a reliable friend, it is also useful to have a reliable enemy so that your network of spies and information gathering does not go to waste.
I suppose I could be wrong; you could just love trolling for the sport of it. However, your nation always reaches the top of the charts and you are a well known figure on the OWF and in the game. While I may disagree with the tactics, the results speak for themselves. I tip my hat to your ruthless nature. You would make Frank Underwood proud.
