  1. Rather than change the preferred government, it should change your actual government. Although it would be rather weird to spy someone into a dictatorship (lol), at least it'd be more useful than lowering your enemy's happiness by 1.

EDIT: WOW, forcing a tax collection after a DEFCON change.. that's brutal in nuclear wars. :P

The 'Incite Government Propaganda' is often under-estimated.

It allows a nation to perform the 'Incite Government Propaganda' spy operation on a nation currently in anarchy, forcing them to wait another 2/3 days to switch out.

  2. What do you mean? I want to know how much money is needed to make the jump, so I don't buy up to 4075 infra and run out of money, or something like that.

You get to 3999.99 infra and save up a whole 19 days worth of taxes and collect taxes, while you also pay 19 days worth of 3999.99 infra bills. In 19 days time, you make sure you keep up to date with bills and do not collect taxes (i.e. 19 days inactive), and then spend all of your previous savings on infra which may take you up to 4500 infra, or something of that sort, and then you collect taxes.

What this does, is it allows you to pay the low cost of bills at a rate before the 4000 infra jump, whilst collecting taxes at an increased amount after the 4500 infra jump. It also allows you to make use of labor camps while paying bills, factories while buying infra and economy-boosting improvements when collecting taxes (improvement swapping).

This technique is often repeated all the way till you reach around 15000 infra.

  3. It's only 3 decimal places so that cannot happen ;)

That's strange, because I recall being able to buy infra and land to about 6 or so decimal places, and if you go beyond a certain number of decimal places, it just rounds the number to a certain number of decimal places.

This is land having been bought in 0.0005 mile increments, twice:

  4. I suggest that you do backcollects, rather than waiting to spend the exect amount of money to break even again:

    Pay bills for 10-19 days

    Sell labor camps

    Buy factories

    Buy infra

    Sell factories

    Buy economic improvements

    Collect taxes

    Sell economic improvements

    Buy labor camps

  5. War slot filling itself is against the CN rules and you can be warned for doing so.

To make these wars legitimate, you actually have to send attacks to and from each other, which I'm sure you don't want.

Solution: Join an alliance that will be willing to protect you.

My alliance is TOOL, and despite my size, I'm sure they will be willing to help me in times of war, just as I will do for them.

  6. So I should finish my current tech selling deals, buy 300 tech, and then keep buying tech from other players at the standard price? And should I save up to buy a wonder as soon as possible, or wait until I'm at 3999.99 Infra?

Wait until you have 3999.99 for stopping tech selling and buying a wonder (SSS).

  7. Between 3,000 and 4,000 infra is probably the best place. I'd say once you get to 3999 infra is a good stopping place.

edit: I didn't even notice you were over 50 tech till just now too :P

In addition to this, you should buy tech to let's say 200-300 levels yourself, before you start tech dealing (buying).

I wouldn't accept any more tech buyers from now on, and start focusing on growth through collections.

  8. Oooh...sounds all secretive

Haha... it can definitely slow your growth :P

Maybe nations should be able to see others' "Total Income Taxes Collected:" :P

Steeldor's is above 300, although it should 'level out' as he grows.

Another reduction in NS worth of tech would be very interesting indeed.

  9. Ah...that explains it then. There's a big difference between 5 and 25 NS, and I was unaware that tech had ever been worth that much. That must have been before my time (or else I've completely forgotten!)....I'm getting old, but not that old!

    It was 20 NS; sorry.

Steeldor might in fact be a good example of what you're looking for XD

My peak must have been around 150 efficiency, yet, a lot may have been put into a warchest which others don't know about.

  10. I'm far too lazy to resource swap like dealmaster, as that seems like a huge headache to set up.

I feel for you. My first ever resource swap will take place later this month - it's certainly not something you should do on a tri-weekly basis; however, just to give you some figures - even though my set is great as it is - switching to an economically optimal set will increase my income by around 7 mil per day for that 19 day backcollect.

Steeldor is doing tremendously well, and despite his incredible tech debt :P should be aiming for 2 mil net per day.
