Iron, it's a MDoAP if i recall right. Legion took the aggressor role in this war, so that would make it a optional entry since it's a MDoAP and not a MDP or a guess you could call it fictional MDaAP (Mutual Defense and Aggression Pact).

I was under the impression Legion only declared because they thought they were the victim of Tetris' antics, making them Tetris the aggressor in their eyes.
Not really. It isn't hurting them in the eyes of most, just the ones who want at them.
Funnily enough, that's the very definition of most. 'Round these parts.

If Legion doesn't need the help, no need for them to ask Polar to come in, especially since so many people want Polar. Legion has plenty of other allies that would match up better with their opponents, if they want/need the help. If not, why bother exposing their allies?
PR. Like I just said.

  3.
Why, exactly, would Polar need to bother stepping in anyway? Legion outnumbers all three alliances on them, and none of the three are recognized as being very good. Polar would be overkill on anyone, and the only benefit of them coming in would be for all the people who want to stomp them.
Because it's an MDP, not an ODP. There's no reason they have to, but they can't expect to get away with it without losing PR.

    1) I am already trying to.

    2) What in the world makes you think that even a month's worth of infrastructure, tech, etc. isn't unfair? You've posted 1000 times in this forum. Chances are you probably have nukes or other deterrents in place, or have a stream of aid from your alliance so you can make him lose that stuff and get him knocked back down. You fail to realize that A NEW player like me STANDS NO CHANCE against these kinds of nations, and if you're insinuating that me going into war with my !@#$@#$ SIX SOLDIERS will somehow hurt him as badly as he can hurt me, you're DEAD wrong.
I can understand why you're angry. A lot of people around here hate raiding, or at the very least discourage the practice. I'm going to assume they're raiding you. If they're not, they're just picking on you because they can.

I wouldn't worry too much about what they have stored, because chances are if they've acted like that for over a year, they've had their fair share of beat downs and they've had their money, infra, land, tech etc destroyed by other angry nations. The best thing I can offer you in terms of advice is to either stick with MHA's quizzes or admission policies, or join another alliance. Once you're in an alliance, the attackers will be brought to justice.

If you do decide to stick it out, and we all hope you do, try contacting someone on either IRC (the main mode of communication around here) or over the forums. There are plenty of guides as you've seen, but usually experienced players will be the best guide of all.

    Hang in there.

  5. It's not so much the money to spare, it's more the time to spare. Time is the most important resource is CN. Sending a free 3mil package to a nation wastes 10 days of time.

That being said, it makes it all the nicer to see nations do that, still.

  6.
Since my nations inception in 9/23/2006 I had Aluminum and Furs as my resources. With the recent game change allowing me to change resources, I switched my Furs resource to Water on 9/22. When I did that, I lost 2/3 of my land by growth. I realize that Furs has a growth multiplier, but I would have thought the loss of that multiplier would have applied to my growth going forward and not back to my start date.
How come? If resources change, they change the properties involved. You're assuming that each day of growth is recorded, but it's all accumulated. Like most things, a discount, or an increase, is applied retrospectively.

  7. I've seen better screen shots before. I think every (most?) alliance(s) have pretty opinionated members who seek the war button as soon as they can find a semi-coherent reason for it.

The only thing that fuels this is the public perception of Legion and if anything these threads just show how bored people are.

Is it really all that funny to look at other alliances' FA policies (which are directed at membership alone), and mock loud-mouth members? A few childish people in a crowd doesn't mean they should all be spoon-fed. And a friendly reminder of how to do their job is SOP in most, if not all, alliances. Legion are even acknowledging their short-comings in the exact same post.

GATO is a capable and honorable alliance that will always deliver on the commitments they have agreed to whether it is the hard thing to do or not, or hopefully CnG will make them that that way. Congratulations GATO.
Your sarcasm got all over my shoes...

  9. What?

Don't get me wrong, GATO and CnG are pretty much one and the same anyway. But I thought that was always a de facto thing. What ever happened to the "We won't sign Mutual Aggression Treaties"?

Anyway, cue TIO complaining because GATO didn't like them, and other nations living in 2007 complaining that GATO are still terrible, etc etc. Haven't seen NSO yet, guess we'll have to wait for their party to arrive.

I read on CNtel that MK is moving to Pink, so obviously this is MK making their members switch their AA to different PF alliances and move to Pink so they don't get caught doing it. Then once they are all moved, their AAs will become MK again.
Is the source of that "discovery" suggesting MK's AA will be completely empty at one point in time or another?

    MK's charge suggests otherwise: http://www.cybernations.net/stats_alliance_stats_custom.asp?View=Charts&Alliance=Mushroom%20Kingdom

This game isn't a war simulator but a political simulator and war is just one of the tools to be used. Declare war just for fun isn't really funny, since the war system is pretty boring, so no offense but the idea is stupid.
Luckily A) you're not being forced to do it, and B) not everyone has the same opinions as you.

  12.
It's always been my opinion that it's the political maneuvering that leads up and into war that is more exciting than the war itself. There is next to nothing about the actual game of CN that is fun... it's the world that we've created that is enjoyable.
Yes, but lately the war lead ins have been a little disappointing...

  13.
There is nothing wrong with the treaty. Majority rule stated that this is what the alliance wanted. You don't like it then quit CN because chances are other alliances are going to do the same thing. The whole "NPO is ebil!" bit is just like the "Russia is ebil" bit in the real world. The past is the past now get over it or get rolled.
Are you honestly promoting world peace? "There is no bad guy".

People all understand what we're doing here, this very instant, right?

France actually has a really good track record, study history man.
This guy sucked all the time, not just recently.
Of course their track records are good, they just surrender whenever a war begins.

Anyway I'm sure that relates to SDI's somehow.

#4. Lack of unique ideas. When NPO in the past took the entire red sphere under it's wing and swaggered around Bob it created interest, drama, they had some neat ideas about how to shape Bob going forward. Always pressing new boundaries. Who does that now? The goal of those who took the power from NPO seems to have been twofold: Stop things from happening like NPO used to do, and keep NPO down. They've accomplished those goals, ad nauseum over the past couple years. Problem is what now?

The solution to revitalizing CN is for politics around here to unstagnate. Someone has to step up and change things politically. Make it interesting.

Create the drama and people will pay attention.
Must admit, it's hard not to become bored when the "hegemony that refuses to be a hegemony" claims to be much different and far more laid back, and then refuses to do anything different at all. For a few seconds, I thought "Oh, MK doing something and attacking NPO just for fun". At first I thought it was disastrous that they do something like that, and I thought all the politics would drain away from this game. If anything, it did the opposite. Now that NPO are all beat up again (and treaty-ing their attackers left right and centre), there's nothing to do. No controversial moves to play.

Do something spontaneous, Mr Hegemony. It'll make people mad. Finally.
