1. As long as it's not government members of large alliances, I'm usually okay with complaints directed at stagnating politics. That being said, this will only turn into another thread about why wars usually start and what's not happening to shake the game up a bit.

You realise that continuously making these threads is counter-productive and ironic, if not a sad reflection on the gloomy faces 'round here.

Let's just end this thread sooner than 5 pages and move on. Maybe we can foster a new world, where daisies aren't associated with new beginnings, or death. Where people complain only to make changes, not criticise them. Where... eh $%&@ it. Get the $%&@ over it and "do something abou--

    Never mind.

    Yes. I know.

At best it's completely random and awkward in the context of the conversation.

At worst it's an attempt to make a subtle IC dig at an alliance in an OOC forum over an axiom used more than five years ago.

    Either way...

    Bit like your injected commentry.

1: Interesting idea of having another standalone SE, though the problems with that is probably 99% of it will be the same people we have already as there is very little/zero advertising of cybernations on the internet and effective advertising to bring new blood requires a healthy bank balance.

2: For most its community and/or nation building so just reseting would lose the majority of nation builders in an instant and never come back as who would want to spend another a couple of years plus rebuilding and getting the wonders again.
Pretty much. It's not that I don't want to lose my nation. I'd happily use it to go to war. But to have it levelled just for the sake of "it'll bring more people, in my opinion", is just the incentive I need... to not bother with CN anymore.

Having a nation to use is the fun part. It lets politics work. People who want a reset are simply asking everyone to put in another year or so of nation building to become a decent size again. There's a reason against it.

Another server is just pointless, as I addressed above.

just start CN:SE round 2, and run it separately, but at the same time as this one, eventually that would would become dominate, but it would be a slow phasing in as oposed to a sudden reset.
How would that change anything? Same game, different server. Same alliances. The only difference it would make is that nations would be the same size for awhile.

    So what?

  5. That chart is kind of amusing. Basically everyone is changing their resources so they're "needed". I wonder if anyone realises how little 6 nations who have uranium can actually achieve in a ring.

Me? Well I'm going to wait for a trade circle to get in on before I randomly select the "best" resources.

Unless Opethian is gone, PPF isn't dead.

Really? I thought I saw their disbandment awhile back. If not, apologies to PPF...

Not if you expect to attract an audience of anyone other than a select few random forum invasions, and even then barely by a thread maintain them.

    etc
I'm glad you know exactly what the game needs. Why didn't we consult you earlier?

Have you considered how many people will leave if their nations are just randomly turned back to 0? My aim from the beginning of the game was to get to 100k nation strength. That was what I told myself I needed to do before I could contemplate quitting. I've done it now, I'm happy, but what about those who haven't had that chance? It just royally screws over everyone who put so much work into it.

Your same argument can be reversed. The people who do want a reset are just irritated that they'll never reach the starry heights of Hime Themis (someone who has put in a lot of work). It's completely selfish to just make everyone come back to square 1 because new players want to fit in. It's also a periodic thing. It'll only benefit those who join on THAT day. Unless you have a monthly reset, where - oh wait no, that's TE.

I wouldn't be opposed to a reset. Honestly.

For all the people saying "I threw real life money into a pixel game, one that was explicitly stated being a "Donation," I demand compensation or I'll take my ball and go home!"

    Go home.

I guarentee you I will find more people to replace you than you will find of yourself.

    Good riddance.

There's more of us against a reset. But good for you.

Can you clarify this? I'm missing how defending your alliance against rogues and expecting alliances whose nations aid said rogues while in a time of war to pay reparations is something to be ashamed of. Or was that one of the legacies of the ebil GOONS 1.0?

You're looking waaaay too hard for something there, dude. My simple mind was focused on the us against Methrage angle.

You do make it sound like i wanted you guys to burn, no you guys told us "You would protect us.". Us on the AA defended the AA, tetris got attacked it turned into the problem with tetris getting attacked. Telling us that we need to go in and attack the guys that attacked you is wrong ask USMC for that or i can show you the message whichever you prefer.

But in the end that truce was because i talked to zed and motor. I asked them to halt attacks on chozo, and hannibel i didn't care if they attacked me or not. They then extended it to not attacking me, so if you look at this i tried to get this resolved for the AA i am on. I had no power to do anything for the tetris AA that is your responsibility.

In the end the situation is done and over with for the AA the protection is canceled that's the end of it. This is just going to go into a massive flame back and forth fest, therefor i'm done posting in the topic.

As they say "There's two sides to every story and the victor in war get's to write that story." There is no victor in this war, the over all go of the rouges was to cause damage and to get under your skin obviously they were successful. The moral of this is, becareful on which land you tread.

I don't know you. But you sound like a spoilt child. They were protecting you, now they're not, get over it.

At least you still have Ronin.

OP that is such a good story. I really can't pick "one part" that I liked the best. But if you were to hold a gun to my head, I would go with the part with the pictures. I just got off the phone with an armored truck company. They will be arriving in the morning to pick up my back up disk, which I just saved your story on to. There probably won't be much traffic, because I forwarded the police your story, and they agreed to escort the armored truck to its destination. At first the police chief didn't want to help, but then I guided his attention to the incredible pictures that you embedded along with your story. I mean, the story was good enough. But as soon as I saw the pictures that went along with it, I called my grandmother, who is blind and has Alzheimer's disease to tell her. As far as her doctors in the nursing home are concerned, she is cured of all her ailments now that she heard your cool story. She is actually preparing to run the Boston marathon this year now. Thank you OP.
